Out of state TEXAN deciding to give some KC style Bar-B-Q. Brazen enough to walk in with my Texans by the Grace of God t-shirt on. Manager took my order and offered up some burnt ends. We’re very tasty and tender. Sold my wife and mother-in-law on Brisket with a variety of slides. Brisket is chopped, not sliced as it would be in Texas, but moist smokey and delicious. The portions were huge. Both ladies had meat to go! My ribs were well smoked and sauced. Very tender but still on the bones so you could easily peel the meat from the bone. Recommend the stop and checking them out!

Wow! What a great place for Ribs and pulled Pork. Stopped for lunch and not disappointed. Had one Rib on the side with my pulled pork sandwich. .Check it out if in Topeka,KS.

Went through the drive-thru and ordered 1/2 slab dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy & mac and cheese; 3 meat dinner with pulled pork, brisket, turkey with green beans and baked beans. Also bought a pint of bbq sauce. Hands down, some of the worst bbq I have ever had!!!! I could barely eat any of it. Too salty, tasted like chemicals, and liquid smoke. Mashed potatoes & gravy were sub-par, mac & cheese dry/tasteless, baked beans tasted like the bbq, Texas toast was tasteless, but I ate the green beans, they were pretty good. We couldn't tell the difference between the pork and brisket. I am just grateful that it all was only $36. I DO NOT recommend this establishment at all!

Hot BBQ is the name of the game at Hog Wild Pit Bar-B-Q. Decent smoked bbq with good value is what I found here. I had the Carolina style and the pulled pork was soft and moist. The bun was really soft and had a good flavor. The baked beans had their own unique flavor and so did the sauce selection. If you want hot and fast bbq, check this place out!

For fast food BBQ, this place is really great! The only issue I've had is seeing a manager be not so kind to an employee.. Shouldn't be treating people working so hard for you like that! Especially right now when help is so hard to find. But the food is pretty good and they were clean last time we went inside too.

The atmosphere has a great BBQ county theme to it, well lit, clean, and organized. The menu is a little cluttered but easy to read none the less. The price is above the value and taste of the food, especially how bland the food is. The spicest ingredient is not the mild or hot sauce, but the black pepper. Other then that the food is extremely bland. Absolute lack of spices, or should I say none at all. Other then that the beef brisket is quite soft, not spiced at all, but has definte potential with spices. The pulled chicken was God awful dry, however with some grease and spices could definitely be a hot item too. I wouldn't recommend going here unless COVID has arrested you to a life long sentence of bland food, so regardless then this would be the place for you.

Love this place! The meats are so moist and delicious. I particularly like the hot links and brisket. And the mac n’ cheese is one the best restaurant mac n’ cheeses there are. They are also great with delivery. If you’re looking for great BBQ, this is the place!

Service was great! We had pulled pork and ribs. Frys and Cole slaw as a side. Pulled pork could have had a tad more flavor but was smoked well and the ribs were very good. Cole slaw could have had more vinegar but that's just a personal preference, it had a creamy texture and had a good amount of dressing. Fries were also a tad underdone for my taste. Food was very affordable, especially for the quality. We will for sure be going back!

Cons: Ordered a family pack - disappointed napkins aren’t even included, even when ordering other meats and the sides tasted like they were premade from the freezer section. Pros: Meat was nicely smoked and the hot sausage had a little zing. BBQ sauce was nothing spectacular.

Was surprised to find a really good barbecue place. Food was prepared quickly. You get a lot of food for the price and everyone who went left with a full stomach! The staff was nice and can help you decide on what to eat if you can't decide. Highly recommend.

My friend, he had to go back for seconds one right after the other. My other friend enjoyed everything, but the macaroni. The ribs and brisket are very tasty and full of flavor. The BBQ chicken leaves a little more to be desired being that the sauces on the table weren't very good. Big shout out to crispy fries. They definitely got that right. Overall I think you'd enjoy yourself.

The service was good and the young lady upfront had good suggestions. The BBQ pulled pork sandwich and mashed potatoes were superb. I wish I would have also got the baked beans as they looked good. I regret getting the peach cobbler as I feel it had a soap taste to it. Perhaps, too much rose water in the pasty mix? Regardless it was disappointing. Otherwise it was a pleasant experience.

We had the $5.99 special, and it not only worth every penny, it is one of best and cheapest meals in town. The bbq is great.

As an over the road truck driver I’ve been to many barbecue places across America This was my first time eating here and the 4.4 star rating I was really let down. I got the two meat dinner the turkey was dry and flavorless, the brisket was bland, the green beans were watered down in a bunch of chopped bacon, but the baked beans were awesome. I’m going to come back and try something different next time and hopefully they can be redeemed.

I ordered a brisket sandwich with beans. The meat was satisfactory, but nothing to write home about. I thought it was a little fatty and not tender enough. The beans were middle of the road: they tasted like they were doctored from a can like I do at home. We also got the hot BBQ sauce, and I couldn’t tell there was any heat level. In a pinch, the food was certainly acceptable. I would compare this to a fast food equivalent of BBQ in terms of overall taste. In other words, it gets the job done, but don’t expect anything special.

Visiting from Minnesota and wanted some good Kansas barbeque. A friend recommended this place and it was delicious. Tender, fall off the bone meaty. Sauce was good,and you get a lot of food for the price. Good value. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Topeka.

Late night, wanted BBQ. Ordered 1 meat dinner (got brisket) and 2 sides (green beans & Mac and cheese). It comes with 2 pieces of Texas toast. My friend and I got the same thing. It was delicious! I even had a delay and couldn't eat it until 90 minutes after. The meat was wrapped in tin foil, I didn't have to microwave it. It was still warm and still good. Thank you. Service at drive thru was efficient and personable. I wish I got the guy's name. Very satisfied.

My Senior father is getting choosier as the years go by. Git him the open faced hoot beef sandwich and he absolutely loved it. It was a super reasonable price to boot. We will be going back

Nice refreshing stop on our way through town. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. We will make it a point to come back when we are able. Food was fast and hot to the table. Everything tasted good. No surprises or mistakes with our order.

I eat here at least twice a month. I get the $5.99 sandwich special, either the brisket ($1 more) or the pulled pork and a side of baked beans. 5 star good every time! And the customer service is also always 5 star.

Waited In the drive thru for 20 mins paid $11.00 for a sandwich combo. First off ordered Dr pepper for drink they gave sweet tea instead and had green beans for side, didn't get the side....

Pretty decent for fast food BBQ. Lunch meal deal is nice. The pulled pork sandwich was alright. Nothing special. The BBQ sauce was OK. The Mac & Cheese was VERY buttery! At first I thought they forgot the cheese and just gave me buttered noodles. They made a mistake on a take out order Like the main dish lol. But with a big smile and a huge apology they bent over backwards to make sure I was completely satisfied. We all make mistakes, but the manager was absolutely wonderful plus has great people skills. This is my Topeka BBQ place to eat.

K.C. BBQ connoisseur here. This place can hold its own with any K.C. joint! Got the two meat dinner - ribs and hot links with potato salad and slaw. Potato salad and slaw were pretty unremarkable. Not bad, just pretty run of the mill. The hot links were very good, with just enough heat to make my forehead sweat a bit. They get 5 stars for the ribs. Cooked to perfection...tender with just the right amount of pull, nice bark, great flavor...didn't need to be masked with sauce. My only suggestion is that they remove the membrane and they would be absolutely perfect! Well done Hog Wild! Will be back for sure the next time I'm in Topeka.
