Great local German restaurant very authentic (English menu on the QR code). Rustic vibe and loved the Apfelwein (like english scrumpy cider) comes in 3 variances; sour, pure and sweet. The pure is similar to scrumpy flavour/ sweetness. Had the Frankfurt green sauce which was delicious, fresh and herby. Highly recommend it!

I have visited this restaurant couple of times some years ago and I was really impressed by the quality of the food and I decided to visit again. It is really one of the best places for german traditional cuisine in Frankfurt. Beautiful interior but also there is garden in spring and summer. Located close to u Bahn and in a beautiful neighbourhood. Big menu huge portions friendly staff. High quality and I can only recommend this place. Loved the schnitzel. As for the soup we tasted (pumpkin soup) tasted bit strange and to be honest I wouldn't order again. But apart from that the food is great. Credit cards are accepted and reservations ahead are a must

Good place with tasty food. Local cuisine and drinks. Usually crowded, but the service is good. Could be more bright and cleaner. Smoking should not be allowed in the garden.

I really enjoyed the schnitzel. The Grüne Soße on the schnitzel was also very good. The Handkäse mit Musik was good, but not the best I've had. Our server was really friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was interesting - loud and nothing fancy, but it fit to the character of the restaurant.

It's really hard to choose a proper note for this restaurant. Food was very good, it's true. Shnitzel was nice and salad was a positive surprise. I would like to add maybe there some potatoes (portion was big, but still I felt that potatoes would be a good match there). Anyway the problem was staff, one of waitress there was so mean to me without any reason that it was hard to belive in her behavior (in her opinion I was choosing too long what I want to eat?! ). Also we've made an reservation but staff lost it and put us on a table between other people, it was crowdy and uncomfortable. Anyway food is a plus but other things... P. S. Local 'Apfelwein' is really soft... And there is nothing interesting in taste...

I keep going there cause it’s THAT good. Fast and friendly service, good tradicional german food and very reasonable prices. Plus there’s a smoking and non smoking area, and an open space in summer. A 100% would recommend it!

Lecker! Die grön sosse ist am besten im Frankfurt! I’ll bring my friends back here one day, once we’re all together again. There’s a centuries old tree right in the center of the place. Be advised that a bunch of people still vape/smoke in the restaurant. The food and schnapps were great though!

The best German food I’ve ever had was here. Service was friendly and the meals were just incredible. They take reservations and I recommend doing that if you are heading there.

The food was very well made and excellent portion sizes for the price. We also enjoyed their Apfelwein, which was very nice. We shared a Handkäse mit Musik, which i highly recommend. The Frankfurter Rindwurst mit Kartoffelbrei und Sauerkraut as well as the Sülze were both excellent.

A wonderful German local restaurant with great beer and delicious food. The schnitzel is flavourful and the green sauce is plentiful. Apple strudel to finish is a must. For a Tuesday evening the place was packed with locals. Great place to enjoy the ambience of Frankfurt. A local tavern which welcomes tourists.

I had the Sülze (headcheese) served with rémoulade sauce, potatoes and salad, and asked for a small serving of Grün Soße, a Frankfurt specialty. And of course Apfelwein. Everything was absolutely amazing. Truly local.

Apfelwein Solzer is an institution in Bornheim. They have giant portions, and several drink options. Parking is a challenge, however it is close to the north entrance of the U4 at Bornheim Mitte. The Pfifferlinge Schnitzel is wonderful and on offer during late summer, early fall. Service is quick and efficient. The tree in the middle of the garden makes dining a really special experience. Good for groups, make sure you make a group reservation.

Till now it's the best place to have a good German meal that I've been in Frankfurt. The waiters are very nice and the food delicious. I recommend the "Jagger Schnitzel" or the "Schweinhaxe". Even though is not my favorite food, I've tryed the "Grüne Soße" and it's very good. A very Frankfurter dish. And if you are already there, the "Mispelschnaps" is something you have to try.
