Wow, amazing food and atmosphere! Forget the haters leaving bad reviews, we speak zero German and as we walked in the hostess picked that up right away, greeted us in English and sat us on the great outdoor patio and gave us ENGLISH menus! Being in Europe we anticipated a slower pace of service cause they are not in a hurry like the US. But patience and smiles paid off with a classic schnitzel, potatoes and green sauce. I had to ask for the green sauce cause I didn't see it on the menu. Amazing sour cream style dip for all the food. We got apple pie and ice cream for dessert. Best apple pie ever and that's a lot to say as America is renowned for apple pie! Overall it completed our German experience visiting Frankfurt. Thanks to all the good reviews and pictures that led us here and helped me order. I literally showed a review photo of what I wanted and it made the waiter smile!

I decided to grab food from here after walking around a bit when I had my layover in Frankfurt. It's a good walk away from the train station which helped with my appetite. The steak and fries were really good. As was the little salad on the side. I'd recommend it if you are in the area.

2 words.....Green Sauce!! Spectacular German Food, I can’t believe theis sauce is not all over Germany, it Should! They have a great drafted beer selection along with apple wine. The food is perfectly made and priced good for their quality, service was also very nice. 🖤❤️🧡 Amazing Frankfurt Experience!!!!

Best make a reservation. Got there at 1230pm on a Saturday and there were only 2 tables left. Most of the seating are outside but it’s relatively comfortable as it’s sheltered and isn’t too cold. Food is decent and service is prompt and friendly.

Amazing! The food, staff, drinks, and ambiance are all exceptional. Ignore all of the bad reviews from years ago. The staff are awesome, they accept US vaccine cards, and they are not rude. They even greeted us in English (not expected, but helpful). If you are in Frankfurt, this place is a must try. Definitely get the green sauce (with eggs and potatoes as a starter).

These guys are amazing. We've there in the summer 2022 and visited a few times. All of us loved the food, the drinks, the atmosphere and the service! One time the waiter mixed up the check and we paid about 20 bucks extra, didn't notice that. The manager caught up with us a couple blocks away and fixed it. Love everything about them. We'll definitely visit them every time we are in Frankfurt.

Loved every bit of this place. ❤️ takes you back in time their menu has a storyline and the service was amazing. The food was over the top and I loved the wine we had. Will definitely go back here, heard you have to book earlier in advanced especially for dinner though. Must try their pork knuckle and schnitzel!! Be sure to email them! And thank you for being so kind speaking to us in English. Must go if you're in the area!

Big and tasty schnitzel together with a unfiltered wheat beer can save your evening. The thing that can make you sad is a waiting time (sometimes even when you booked a table beforehand). Count approx 40min until you be seated (you must ask yourself, nobody will come to you at the entrance) and then approx 30min until you get your order. But you can have plenty of beer while waiting, maybe it is the strategy behind 🤔

Service is a little dicey; hard to tell who is waiting tables and who just returned from a metal concert. However, the food and wine were above average! Loved the frankfurter schnitzel with the quintessential Frankfurt green sauce. Been in Germany a bit over a week and ate exclusively German food and this was prob our favorite schnitzel and potatoes. The Apple Strudel also didn't have any added sugar allowing you to appreciate the other aspects of the dish, in stark contrast to Western tradition of having ++++ sugar in the iced cream, cream and apples themselves.

I’m in Germany and I’m always looking for an opportunity to try the local cuisine. Klosterhof has a great German vibe with indoor and outdoor seating options. The food is pretty typical German fare and is quite decent. The service staff is a mix between friendly to outright harsh to customers.

Try to make reservations or come early if you can! We’re thankful to have gotten seats in the garden without having having to wait long. The portions are huge! Wouldn’t say it’s the best restaurant but good for the German biergarten experience. We’ve tried the sausages, hunters schnitzel and the apple pie! Apple pie was good!

The only place in Europe I've been asked for a tip. I didn't have cash euro, but I had pounds, USD and yen. He said he preferred USD. I gave him $10. Ahahahahaha. But the food, service and beer was good.

Highly recommend if you are looking for a uniquely German dining experience in Frankfurt. Customer service a solid 10/10. Be warned, the portions are large. And the sampler that says it feeds 2-3, feeds 5-6. No joke. Deserts are outstanding. Don't pass it up.

This is a must go in Frankfurt. The brewery with a long history. Nice authentical and rustical atmosphere. International menus are available, which helps non-german speakers. You would not have any problem communicating there in English. The staff is nice, straight to the point and relaxed. Traditional dishes and house-brewed beers are simply amazing!

I had the huxe and it was a large portion, tender and delicious. Restaurant has a great atmosphere, plenty of room for kids and a small pram and not too loud for an afternoon lunch. Overall a very tasty and enjoyable experience.

One of the best typical restaurants to discover in Frankfurt. Delicious food and excellent service. I will come back for sure

Great authentic German restaurant! Friendly staff, wonderful food, good beer! Reservations are recommended. The restaurant is small with limited seating.

Crowded with locals, this restaurant was packed inside and in the garden on the last Friday before Sunday's elections. Wonderful menu full of delicious local options beyond the basic schnitzel. I loved my dish, creamy and abundant to share. Service was OK, very busy so not very attentive to tables. Prices are moderate for the type of restaurant, portions and experience. Locals love it, tourists need to map it and discover it.

Only stopped in for beer and apple wine so can’t rate the food. Very friendly staff and lively Biergarten! Was only given a menu in German, not sure if they had any in English. But google translate was very helpful in translating it for me and the waiter explained their beers.

Atmosphere and food are awesome. Then the servers make it better. To top it off are the phenomenal deserts! It’s a gem in Frankfurt. Don’t miss it. Recommend reservations. And sit outside in the Biergarten if the weather is nice! Highly recommended!

Little pricy but great location, great food, and great bierrrr. Would revisit. Rump steak and marinated pork steak were both good.

A real historical restaurant in the heart of Frankfurt. Cosy and nice bar, large open garden and a good menu with a lot of options. The waiters are so friendly and kind to the customers, which is so unusual in Frankfurt to my experiences. Concept of this Restaurant is so nice and cool, you’ll definitely like it!

Tasty food, many German guests, so probably authentic. Reasonable prices. The personnel was helpful and polite. Come here before 1pm if you want to get a table outside for a lunch. It gets busy.

Really great food and atmosphere. Very expat friendly and the staff was nice and patient. I had the beef goulash soup, the hunter's schnitzel, and an apfelwein and would recommend them all.

The best restaurant for real German cuisine. Tasty! Great service, friendly staff, huge portions of delicious food and good beer. All at very affordable prices right in the center of Frankfurt, a stone's throw from the Römerberg. Plus, they make real Italian espresso!
