I ve read excellent reviews but also locals recommended it for excellent food. They were absolutely right. One of the best and the most authentic places for German food in Frankfurt. Very beautiful atmosphere, excellent quick and friendly service, big menu with many options. Loved the hot pan with different meat and white cream and mushrooms and my friends loved the schitzel. I do recommend it and for sure will visit again in the near future

If you are looking for traditional German food in a very traditional area here could be a good option. The place is big enough to host big groups of people. The staff is very friendly and they speak different languages. The menu is big enough to find something you would like to try. The quality of food is good and taste too.

Really nice atmosphere. I had the Argentina rump steak and potatoes. The potatoes were extremely salty and the steak tasteless. I had high expectations but was not impressed at all. For Dessert, I had the chocolate cake and vanilla. The cake was nice but I was expecting vanilla Ice cream but got cream instead.

Transit tourist and local friendly menu at a beautiful location. The best of Hessisch seasonal offerings , Classial German dishes & Austrian Schnitzel under one roof. Exceptionally well picked selections of drinks (Alcoholic or otherwise). Special mention goes to My Lan. Best waitress on the planet. If I own a restaurant I will absolutely get her in - she is a natural in making you super welcomed, comfortable and genuinely want to come back to the restaurant! Lucky Gasthaus zum Bären to have such an exceptional crew. Kudos!

Great typical German style inn. You can sit outside on a nice square close to the river. Very reasonable prices. By scanning the provided bar code you can see the ordered items appearing on a web page as the meal progresses…this is really useful with a group (as we were). I’d never seen this before and was quite impressed. Also the service was excellent - competent, fast and friendly. All in all this is an excellent place.

My favorite restaurant my entire trip. Such a great atmosphere and staff. The food was amazing and met several people. From here a short trip the bar around corner is a must do

Good place for traditional food. (That green thing wasn't my best choice in life)

To be honest, I felt a bit neglected. I was promptly seated and my order was taken. Meal was brought by a different waiter ( somewhere along the way my order came out wrong. I ate it anyway.) Ordered a second beer which took 6 minutes to be brought to my table. There were 5 people sitting at the tables outside including myself.

Among the 3 restaurants around the square this one is the best. Tasty food very typical of the area and with a lot of different options. The staff is also very friendly and professional. I often go with friends from abroad who come to visit Frankfurt area and they have all loved it.
