I've heard the hype about this place but never got to try it until tonight with my wife. Excellent food, excellent service, excellent all around! Some of you know that some restaurants provide "Quality over Quantity" and vice versa, well at Jonah's, you get both quality AND quantity, from the first bite to the last it was outstanding through and through! Photos are of the Cajun shrimp and grits and hushpuppies.

Love this place you decided to eat outside as it was less crowded and it was not too hot. Turned out to be a good choice as we had a little fan that blew a breeze and we actually got to speak with some folks coming by walking up the walkway it was very enjoyable time. I had their classic shrimp and grits which was excellent and my wife had The cyclone shrimp which was very good also. Classic hush puppies for starters and we finished with peanut butter pie which was so very good. I look forward to the next time I'm in Thomasville so we can stop in and eat here again.

Literally the best meal I’ve had in years. We stopped there on our way to our honeymoon bc it was recommended by a family member. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. There was a bit of a wait but it was worth every second of waiting. Not only does the restaurant have a nice story but it was AMAZING food. I hope we can venture down again one day to eat it again!

Jonah's may not be the only shrimp and grits place on the planet, and you've seen most things on the menu before. But you will never have every single thing cooked as perfectly as this. We thought that after our first visit two years ago, when we found Jonah's by mistake, and it was still true on this trip when we drove 4 hours out of our way like heat seeking missiles to get here. We had shrimp fried exactly right (not overdone, great batter); heavenly white cheddar grits (possibly cooked with milk or cream instead of water); salmon with a gingersnap crust with their "signature butter" (maybe the lemon butter. No idea. Fab); incredibly generous corn and crab chowder with a dollop of sherry; fried green tomatoes w/sun dried tomatoes, feta and balsamic glaze; and finally their floaty hushpuppies that should make all others just hang up their skillets. Worth seguing right over to (charming) Thomasville, Ga, if you're within 300 miles.

This was a really nice location. I heard so many reviews. Unfortunately, it's not for my palate. I was not impressed with the food at all. I had the catfish which tasted bland my friend had the shrimp and grits zucchini and lemon do not belong with shrimp and grits. The servers were very friendly. Definitely a 1 time visit for me.

Why was this food so delicious! Enjoyed every minute of this lunch with my son. The drive is about a 25-30 minute drive time but well worth it! Just note it does get busy very quickly so plan accordingly! However this the first in a long time the customer service was excellent and food was delicious.

Stopped by for dinner after visiting Pebble Hill Plantation. It was a perfect April evening so we sat outside. The service and food were excellent! I had the delicious creamy chicken pesto pasta. My daughter had the Cajun shrimp and grits. As a bonus, yummy hot out of the drier hush puppies and a lovely Greek salad with fresh dill!

Fantastic service. Hushpuppies were great! Finally, a place that knows how to make grits! I got the side dish version of the harvest salad and a few side dishes (including said cheese grits). The salad was nothing to write home about, but the sides were fantastic. The rest of my party got gingersnap salmon and shrimp with grits. We did do an appetizer of fried green tomatoes, but that won’t be a repeat next time we visit.

Hush puppies? More like crack puppies! Food was fresh and came quickly. Fried green tomatoes and sides were amazing!

Our server was Emmie & she was very attentive, had a pleasant personality, and made sure we were well taken care of. Some of the best customer service I’ve experienced in a while. Hush puppies were served for the table. They were fried perfectly and the butter made it more savory! Definitely among the best I’ve had! The fried green tomatoes were my least favorite. Personally, I like my fried green tomatoes to have a hard crust. The balsamic was overwhelming to my nose so I wish I would’ve asked for it to be served on the side. The Cyclone shrimp or what some will call “boom boom shrimp” were pretty good as well. Personally… again… I like a hard crust, but you can’t deny the deliciousness of this dish. The Jonah’s sauce is some of the best sauce around for miles *chef’s kiss.* The flounder, salmon, and jumbo shrimp were sooooooo good! No complaints whatsoever. Not a fan of the collard greens or coleslaw, but the grits were so creamy and delicious! Would definitely recommend, 8/10!

Husband and I came here for lunch. We got there when they opened and good thing because they got packed FAST! The hush puppies were AHHHMAZING! I’m not much of a hush puppy person but definitely a fan of theirs! I got the fried shrimp no aoli sauce because I’m allergic to citrus. They were very accommodating to my allergies. The red slaw was also great. Fries were not as hot as I hoped but they were very good. My husband got the Big Fish with collard greens and he loved it. 5 out of 5 will return and highly recommend.

Yesterday was my first time visiting this restaurant and there was almost an hour wait…and I’m not surprised, the food here was absolutely incredible! My wife had the bourbon glazed salmon and she said it was the best salmon she ever had. I had the “Classic” Shrimp and Grits and it was delicious. We are already planning our second trip to this establishment and if there is a two hour wait, so be it!
