I walked in and it was dead, the humidity in the restaurant hit you right when you walked in. It was very hot and very wet feeling in the atmosphere. The sushi looks nothing like what I ordered and the color of the fish looks questionable it’s grey. I took it out and ate the rest. I don’t like wasting food and I can’t afford to waste. I wouldn’t recommend eating here. I’m debating on whether finishing or throwing it away. I have not gotten sick yet, but I wouldn’t doubt if I did.

For a Sunday afternoon the restaurant was quite slow. However the tables were dirty and sticky, they were out of chicken teriyaki and it took the sushi guy 25 minutes to make one roll. His conversation about Lord of the Rings was more interesting than the service he was there to provide.

This place is going downhill so bad! The portions are so small and keep getting smaller. The food tasted old and reheated. This used to be my favorite restaurant. Their AC is broken again ( this is not the first time) , and it's so humid, reading at 85 degrees inside! Everyone is sweating. Salmon sushi came to me warm, and it was so small! Sushi shouldn't be sweating inside. The cream cheese was melting. Portions are much smaller than it used to be. Unfortunately I don't feel safe returning if they can't regulate the temperature of their food or their restaurant. I wouldn't be surprised if they failed a health inspection.

Used to be one of my favorite restaurants several years ago but I have been more and more disappointed each time I return. The bathrooms were fowl (womens on my account and mens on my boyfriend’s), fountain drink machine and counters had liquid residue dripping and the tables are sticky. Sunday evenings used to be packed in the good ole days but today it was empty and the A/C wasn’t working on top of everything (several other reviews reveal this has been an issue for months).

Came here after seeing the pictures in Google reviews and saw the tofu option. Wanting to try that and the drink we stopped in. The staff was friendly but that’s about all this place offered. Soda machine didn’t “have working ice”. Had to have staff fill our cup after we asked why the machine wasn’t working. Should have been advised this at check out. The soda was also flat, carbonation apparently wasn’t working so the cashier gave us a drink from the cooler… also something that should have been addressed when ordering. There was backpacks and old food trays around the store and no customers. Not really any seating because of this and the store was very hot and wet feeling so we just sat outside. Not sure what’s up with the ventilation here but that wasn’t pleasant. The food was not worth the prices at all as the crispy noodles were stale, they gave you no dressing with the salad (literally just lettuce and a tomato with sliced cucumbers), and the tofu was hard at the ends. The onions were good though. The green beans were cold, but tasted good. Paid $40+ for gas station quality food. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Try another.

I have had Bento recommended to me by many of my friends so I decided to finally try it. My fiance and I went to the one on Newberry and unfortunately were very disappointed. The restaurant was extremely warm and humid as soon as soon as you walk in.. staff was very unfriendly and I even tried to make conversation with a smile when ordering but just received blank stares. The place was empty and we each ordered a poke bowl to go, sat down and waited... and waited.. for a long time as the staff just talked with the two other customers in the restaurant and made it clear they were in no rush to prepare our food. Eventually they finally finished our bowls and gave them to us, we left and when we got home to eat, both of the bowls were very small (I got a large and she got a small but they were the same size, both small). We were very disappointed and it was not worth the 45+ dollars for the two bowls and two drinks we ordered. Hope this Bento gets it together because I can't see it staying open much longer...

This restaurant must have new owners or management. This used to be my favorite. Unfortunately prices have gone way up while atmosphere and accomodations have detoriated dramatically. You can tell because it used to be a 30-45 min wait to order and find seating, however the restaurant was dead. Bathrooms were bad, as well. Sad to see such an amazing restaurant go downhill. I will go again because Bento deserves another chance after years of success and will update my review, but the other reviews tells me that I'm not the only one watching it change.

Worst bento I've ever been to didn't have the grill working the AC wasn't working. So I couldn't get teriyaki chicken bento box I normally do. I got the Miso soup which was sour and bitter. White rice that was hard. I felt so bad cuz it was my husband's first time going. And I know this is not the experience of bento. Maybe it was this particular location, but we're not from the area. And there was great reviews about it. But this was very disappointing.
