A year ago, I can say that they had the best spicy Chinese food here. Their taste is amazing and their spice are excellent. They have a Full house everyday. And then, they said their lease is finished. The landlord didn’t extend their contract. We were very disappointed to see them go, and hope that they can reopen somewhere else. Now, all in a sudden, they have re-opened their shop, with whole new team of management. Brand new chairs and tables. However, their taste has changed, and no longer that tasty. Unfortunately, They have become an average to go restaurant. If there’s anyone who know where the old owner is, I would really want to meet her again.

Our favourite Sichuan place in Melbourne! Such a shame that their lease is up / final day is on 15/05/2022. Thought I'd leave a review prior to them closing indefinitely. Food is generally always consistent and 5/5 - the BBQ fish, pickled coriander stir fry beef, chilli chicken and I could go on. When they close this Sunday, it'll definitely be a void when it comes to eat out options in Melbourne for Sichuan food.

Food was a lot better than expected. Price is reasonable. Glad to find a good Chinese restaurant nearby. Definitely will go back! Try their fish fillet in Sichuan Sauce!

Food quality is not consistent. Sometimes amazing, sometimes just so so.

I was so impressed by the authentic taste of Sichuan flavor in this restaurant. Chilli chicken is a must try for anyone who loves spicy and numb taste, if you don’t mind chicken bones. The glutinous rice cake with brown sugar was so impressive. The dishes in this restaurant are probably not for everyone but definitely for someone who is open to try the authentic spicy food from China.

Ordered delivery - tried the ox tendon and trachea, spicy hot pork intestines, BBQ chicken wings and stir fried long beans and minced pork. All dishes were flavourful and mouth numbingly delicious! Enjoyed leftovers the next day too. Menu was slightly confusing as a non-mandarin speaker, didn't understand why the BBQ chicken wings was not a dish on its own but an 'add on' to the long beans.

If you want good Sichuan food then this place is a must visit. Great flavours, generous portion sizes and reasonably priced. We tried the whole bbq fish, sichuan chilli chicken, beef in chilli oil, fish flavoured eggplant and cold noodles. Every dish we ordered was amazing and the service was friendly. Spacious interior and easy parking at Dan Murphy's across the road. Highly recommended

Went during off peak time (half tables filled and occasional pickup takeaway orders), excellent food, good levels of spicy and very friendly/ attentive customer service.

Went here for dinner, waited 45 mins for our food to arrived. Rabbit meat tasted like old frozen meat, NOT FRESH, if you are looking for fresh meat, don’t try the rabbit meat ! However I have to say the way that food was cooked was amazing! Can tell the chief definitely got magnificent skill of cooking and depth of understanding Sichuan style cuisine. Advice: the waiting period of food can be faster and ensure the meat is fresh

Walked in off the street & we were seated straight away. The food was absolutely delicious & the service was fast & friendly. Bigger groups should make a booking, having said that I think we were lucky to get a table for 2. Very busy & I can see why! Thank you 😊

Extremely long time to wait for the dishes to be ready. Ordered 7 dishes. Has Been waiting for 30 mins for the 1st dish to be served. Pushed the waitress once as we waited 30 mins. However, nothing has been changed except ongoing waiting. Really frustrated! !!

Very authentic, but hard to get a table. The service is not what you expected from a fine dining restaurant but the staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended to see suggestions from staff when you ordering the meals.

Delicious. Chongqing chicken was perfect. On the bone and spicy. We also got the beef with pickle which had a milder chilli kick and very fragrant. Not sure what the pickled greens were but. Nom Nom Nom

People who said it’s expensive, you should stay home and cook instant noodle for yourself. This is absolutely reasonable price for daily dinner and authentic Sichuan Cuisine, so delicious 😋

They have private dining rooms to accommodate large groups with children and a desire for privacy. We had children aged 4-8 in our group so we ordered non-spicy dishes. Some dishes can be adjusted to be less spicy (such as fried rice, pork with bean sauce) and some dishes cannot (such as wonton soup, mopo tofu), you need to ask the waiter for more details. We ordered 7 dishes + 5 bowls of rice for 6 adults and 3 children. The bill totaled $150. All the dishes were delicious and suitable for the price. Children eat very well, and so do adults!

Food always excellent, love this place so much. Would be better if they have somebody who speak and understand english fluently for phone order.

Really bad customer service. Do not get takeaway, they take priority dine in customers. Waited a hour for 3 dishes. Taste is not as good as it’s used to be as well

one of the best & most authentic Chinese dishes! love it when i don’t feel up to cooking. what makes this place special is that they did not australianize the recipe/ food. just how i would expect real chinese dishes to be like!

Simply love this place. My heart was broken when they closed for a break, only to have the joy of the reopening. This is an incredibly authentic Sichuan restaurant. The spicy chicken in dried chilli and mapo tofu (Sichuan) are to due for. The fish sichuan style is style defining (as good as anything I have had the luck to have in Chengdu.). Service is quick and customer service orientated. You will need to book this little gem, as there is a ground swell of local support for it in patronage. This is our go to restaurant for all family celebrations.

It’s just 6/10 sichuan food in a 2/10 eating environment. Anyone that says it’s better than is mistaken. But 1 star cuz we were asked to eat faster because she needed to seat more people for more money. What can I say?
