Such a great place for little climbers. My 4 and 6 year old have a wonderful time. They love the caves! Such a great idea. They have lots of options to climb too. Great for strength and resilience. Awesome staff and some food and drink options.

Fantastic spot with extremely helpful staff. Kids (8 & 10) love the auto belays in Climb Time. Extremely easy to use and several levels of difficulty means we all finish tired out while having a blast. Bouldering upstairs is perfect for a shorter and more intense workout, with new problems each week, sometimes more frequently. This spot will keep you coming back, which is great because memberships are well priced. Easy 5 stars.

Took a group of teenage girls for a session on the weekend, they had a ball. The auto belay system allowed them to hook themselves on and off to each climbing point without worry. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The place isn't huge but it has everything you need except for food. Would be lovely to include a cafe so parents can sit and chill. Also there is no sitting area and limited toilets if there is a huge group. No covered rooms to have events where some places have them these days. Also it was too cold inside but you will be sweating so it's fine if you are climbing but if you are waiting then I suggest you dress up as if you are outside (if you go on a cold winter day)

Nice climbing gym and very nice staff! I went there to boulder. The boulder area is quite decent in size and there were a lot of challenging problems. I went on a Wednesday and it got a bit crowded after 5 pm. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They answered all of my questions with a lot of insight and good advice. Would definitely recommend and next time I'm there I'll try out the top rope section.

To preface, this review is from the perspective of someone who climbs a lot as a hobby, and it is not from the reference point of a parent or caretaker or any other kind of customer. What I need or want will wildly differ from someone babysitting a group of kids from the sidelines and this review will not account for that point of view at all. I've been climbing here 1-3 times per week for the past two years or so and I consider this one of the best gyms in Melbourne. The membership fees are very competitive, the staff members are so friendly, and they make killer coffees too. The route setting, particularly recently, has been excellent, and at the moment I feel like I want to jump on every climb in the gym. There's something for everyone, all the way from first-timers to people who are climbing hard grades outdoors, and plenty of everything to keep you entertained for quite a while. Depending on the day, the gym can get quite crowded, particularly after 6PM on weekdays, especially in the bouldering area. This is great for people who like company, maybe not so for people who would rather grind things out in peace. Both the bouldering and lead climbing are great, and you won't find better roped roof climbing anywhere else in the city. The atmosphere, particularly in the bouldering area, is always exciting and welcoming. I also appreciate that there's a kilter board upstairs for the members, as not every gym has one. The only downside to this gym is that it's only 12 meters tall which is a shame, but the routesetters have done a great job with what they've got. The roof climbs are nice and long though.

Took the family out for a b'day afternoon. Great team working to support the kids and they all had a blast! If you do book a room for a party do take an additional fan if it's a hot arvo and a music system for the room.

Awesome climbing gym with a huge number of different climbs. The kids area is fantastic, really helped my children overcome their fear of heights.

Tried climbing for the 1st time. This place is amazing. Staff were cordial and took time in inducting us. Did couple of trials and made sure we were aware of all the safety rules.

Solid climbing spot. Super friendly staff and creative route setting. Unfortunately I’m not strong enough to do most of the bouldering, the difficulty spike is massive for me. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to try. It’s very fairly priced and always a good time.

Had a great climb there. Staff are lovely and it is a very relaxed feel which is nice. The older holds are really nice to train hard on so your muscles are the first thing to go and not your skin

Great place to sit back have a coffee and watch the kids scale walls. They have tunnels too for kids who want to stay grounded, and a big climbing tower if they don't trust the harnesses.

Bayside Rock climbing is a great place for all ages, I even got to do some climbing, and I surprised myself at how well I climbed. It is set up for anyone to have a go! Do try it, it is so much fun! Prices are reasonable too.

Loved it! So much fun doing rock climbing with friends. Variety challenges available to test your climbing skills. What more can i say other than...i will be there again 😄

The kids had a ball here, coffee is good and they do kid's birthday parties, reasonably priced, it's tucked away in an industrial estate but that's no biggie!!

Great indoor rock climbing. Something for everyone my 10 year old loved it. I didn't have the guts to do the kids tunnels though.

Took a group of school children to the venue for a rock climbing excursion as part of school sporting activities,. The venue has a fantastic rock climbing set-up and the cafe has excellent coffee Worth a visit for something outside the square

Walls are 10m high, but the routes are fun nonetheless. A little more challenging than Urban climb routes, but I am an amateur. Staff are very friendly. There is a slack line set up which is fun. And a rope ladder which was a fun challenge. Not many windows here.

Been a couple of times, good options for kids and adults. Reasonable price. Will return.

Really friendly, talented staff and clean facilities. They have a great variety of vertical and bouldering climbs and the holds are always sturdy and stable. They have everything a beginner needs to start and also update their bouldering routes for competitions regularly so regulars can try new routes. I've never tried the auto-belay area, but I've seen groups of kids using it and they always look like they love it. Thanks team! We'll definitely be coming back!

Absolutely bloody love this place! It doesn't matter when you come in, there's constantly friendly, helpful staff on to help you whenever you need and always up for a good chat to make you feel welcomed. The climbing walls are quality, with a wide variety of paths and difficulties. Plus, with them being changed frequently you'll never have to suffer climbing the same old walls over and over again. Awesome for a great day out with friends or family of all ages since they have the inclusion of the kids area too.

Always a great time when I visit. This is my local climbing gym and you can go every week and still find climbs to do. They regularly reset the bouldering room which has something on offer for both beginner and seasoned climbers. Always very friendly and welcoming staff.

Awesome gym, awesome people. Lots of things going on at this gym. Yoga, youth classes, comps etc. Great setting 🙌🏻 and their bouldering section has really improved over the last year or so.

I love Bayside rock climbing. Staff is always incredibly friendly and love to help when they can. Community there is very kind. I love coming here every week and having a great climb.
