My elderly mother, a returning customer, paid $3000 for a HM9 (3m) shed to be installed. Kenny, the store manager, initially added an extra $50 charge for shed delivery, even with an already existing charge of $505.00 for delivery and installation on the invoice. This charge was only removed after confrontation, and Kenny claimed it was a mistake... The store assured the customer that any extra work for the slab installation would be covered by the customer, provided it was genuinely necessary. However, when the assigned contractor, Ezio, assessed the site, he attempted to charge my parents extra $300-400 for leveling, and for additional copper sheeting in an attempt to confuse my parents. Furthermore, there was a 4-week delay in starting the work, which wasn't disclosed by Kenny when the payment was made. When both issues were raised, Kenny dismissively claimed not to have knowledge of the contractor's schedules as they don't keep calendars/timetables stored on company computers and rudely suggested I take such matters with the I.T team instead when I questioned why that was. Big ask for a 'small' company like Stratco I guess. He also mentioned that extra costs were in relation to the agreement we made when purchasing the shed despite the fact, that there was evidently no extra work required. (see before photo for reference) The following days, Kennys assigned contractor Ezio's additional charges have now miraculously been dropped to $150 to cover the cost of the needed crushed rock/copper wire he ordered after lying to my parents claiming both were needed to complete the task. 4 weeks later. Ezio begins working on the slab preparation. 5 weeks later Ezio and his younger apprentice begin pouring the slab. When I arrived at the house that day, I noticed a huge amount of crushed rock left over outside on the driveway as well as an entire 100LTR wheelbarrow which also was full. Majority of the copper sheet also remaining which they then proceed to load into the van to take home when finished for the day. Funny enough what he did not take with him was the left-over cement rubbish in the white bags. When asked why he did not remove the rubbish, Ezio rudely replied he does not take rubbish home with him and told me to throw it in my house bin which is clearly not meant for bulky waste. This was also encouraged by the store manager Kenny who also tried to convince me that I shouldn't obey to the council bin laws since "nobody does". Professionals. He also tried to justify both his and his contractor's actions by informing me that they have been doing this for over 10 years.... In other words, store manager Kenny and his contractor Ezio take all left-over materials which most likely be resold and split between them while my parents are forced to pay the entire cost which more than likely goes to Ezio's younger apprentice for his help that day. "Weve been doing this for over 10 years"... lol My parents shed is now delayed even longer as we wait for the store manager Kenny to organize another installer. At the same time laying the blame on us for not choosing to pay and proceed with his dodgy contractor Ezio. Kenny also has stopped responding to my emails in regard to this ongoing issue. I find these practices highly questionable and unprofessional especially as a store manager. My elderly parents still have an unopened shed in their possession, and their belongings have been exposed to the elements for now over a month. Kenny also knew about this as he was made aware at the start of October when the shed was purchased. When I brought this up to him recently, he looked at me and shrugged with no intention to help or care. In summary, this experience left the us highly dissatisfied with the service from the store, particularly due to questionable charges and a lack of respect and professionalism. I cannot recommend this store to others as I feel we have not been treated with the honesty and respect as one would expect as returning customers. Trash service.

Reasonable service to help get what I needed for a gate (and spent over $1000). Had one saddle left over and went to return it. Got accused of steeling it and later discovered that the saddle wasn't receipted properly. Don't think I'll be going back there.

There are lots of tool shed on display to choose from plus verandah patio too. Excellent customer service rendered by Jackie who is only 1 week start on the job and no less than the Operations Manager Brett who gave us prompt assistance on our tool shed requirement. Store representative appeared incredibly disinterested. Stated that he had not been to a certain section of the store in 6 months. Stated that the store sells $20,000-$30,000 patios, insinuating its a waste of his time for stratco to sell brushwood roll screens. He pointed out a random product on a nearby shelf and stated: 'like what's that'. Very unprofessional. Definitely won't be utilising stratco's business.

Stratco has been around for a long time with a very good reputation. Stands to reason that their products are reliable and long lasting. Buy materials and kits for DIY or let the staff help you design purchase and install. In my younger days I helped my son in law build pergolas, sheds, garages and the like. We often purchased materials from Stratco with no issues or problems. Since retiring I have sent many people to Stratco Deer Park and will continue to do so. Absolutely worth a look and chat with the staff.

We were looking forward to visiting Stratco in Deer Park, VIC in March 2022, as we were in desperate need of a replacement garage. After the long drive out there from Melbourne, we were quickly disappointed when we were served by a grumpy older man who had zero interest in selling us anything. He had a terrible attitude, and getting information from him was like getting blood from a stone. Answers were delivered with an attitude as if we should’ve already known the answer. The guy was just miserable. Not the qualities you want or expect from a salesperson. We left feeling annoyed, and with zero confidence in Stratco. We’ve since taken our business elsewhere.

I went into Stratco to get a fence, obviously Stratco because let’s be honest, although we all know they’re pricy - they’re worth every penny. I was met by Scott who asked me for details of the existing fence which took me 4 trips back and forth to finalise the fence I needed - (my fault as I’m a complete novice)! Each trip to Stratco and there was Scott ready to handle every question I threw at him. Each and every time, he’d patiently explain how the various parts worked, showed me examples and then gave me real life advice about the installation process. He didn’t rush me, took the time to not only tell me what I needed but the reasoning as to WHY I needed certain parts and how it all worked together.
