Quite an expansive park with a few playground areas, off leash dog parks and pleasant walking tracks. It wasn't totally clear where the off leash dog areas were, but there were few people present when we visited. Unfortunately a few dog owners didn't clear-up after their dog, but it was a nice place to let them roam nonetheless. Parking was plentiful and there were both toilet facilities and picnic areas.

Ballam Park has some nice open areas for picnicking and letting the kids or dogs run off and play. the new water play area is a nice little retreat for the kids and us adults to have some fun in the sun and a nice relaxing spot for us parents/ adults to sit back and relax while the kids go and get out all the built up energy. The play equipment is really nice too and they have a little area for ball sports and parkour too over all really good experience and well worth the travel

My kids love the new park. Also, I heard a kid say, 'This is the best Ballam park ever'. So cute. Bring a spare set of clothes and a towel for the kid friendly water fountains.

Huge place with plenty of things to do for kids. Kids can explore a lot. Suitable for kids of all ages. There are two separate parts. 2 Zip lines, plenty of swings, see saw, slides, climbing places, cycle and skating park, basket ball court. Public toilets. Plenty of parking around the park. Barbecue area. Sand pits and many more.

I found this place from my cousin and this place was amazing. It has water play and sandpit with water as well. There is a dry place as well which has flying fox, slides, climbing, etc. On top of that, it has a big court to play throw and catch. It is worth it to go to that place for hours. If you are hungry, there is a max of 10 mins walk to the small medium shopping centre. It was just perfect.

Lovely open spaces, lots of ovals and an off lead dog area as well as a playground for children. Plenty of places to park if you've driven there too. Great park

A LITTLE OF EVERYTHING FOR ALL! A BIG PLAYGROUND WITH JUST ABOUT EVERY PIECE OF EQUIPMENT YOU COULD IMAGINE. SLIDES, ROPES, MONKEYBARS, TRAMPOLINES, SKATE PARK, BASKETBALL COURT, ROCK CLIMBING WALL, SWINGS, FLYING FOX, ETC! THERE'S AMPLE PICNIC TABLES AND BBQ FACILTIES, AND A SIZEABLE PARK AREA WITH SHADY TREES. A SMALLER KIDS' WATER/SAND PARK, FAIRY GARDEN AND TOILETS AND DRINK FOUNTAINS TOO. CLOSE PROXIMITY TO RUNNING TRACK ALSO. I HAVE SEEN FOOD TRUCKS AND COFFEE CARTS AND MR.WHIPPY ON OCCASIONS, DEPENDING ON WHEN YOU GO. PLENTY OF STREET CARPARKING.

Massive park full of different activities for all ages. Plenty of shade. Water area for warmer weather, picnic amenities and public toilets which are usually locked when I go around dinner or dusk time. Ice cream truck visits regularly in warmer months. Really great park.

Take a picnic and relax in the gardens, you can view your kids from the rug or enjoy playing with them. You could spend a couple of hours with many things for the kids to play on and do.

Great park! Bring the bathers tho and a towel because the water play area is hard to resist! The sand play area is awesome too. Great place for birthday parties and picnics just be sure to dibs your spot early as possible as the park can get quite busy. Oh and don't forget the basketball, soccer ball or scooters and bikes, there is so much to do!

What a great park for kids. And very popular as well. I was there for a 1yr old birthday and there were 2 other 1yr old birthdays as well. There is quit a big skate Park and also a lovely water playground (water comes out of the ground) where your child can get soaking wet even if you told them not to so make sure you take spare clothes and a towel. 😊 I did see a BBQ area. The only down side for the day was I believe somewhere as part of the park there is an off leash dog area. 2 of the dogs that should of been there (I'm assuming) came bowling through our area frightening the children and parents. They were friendly enough but very big scary looking dogs. All in all a lovely day was had. If you want to have a party or gathering at a particular spot at the park send someone ahead early to set up otherwise you might miss out. Have fun♥️

Awesome playground, dog park, all sporting facilities that can be used. Epic park 🙌

  • 5/5 Yeet I. 9 months ago on Google
The smaller playground was a lot better before it was redeveloped and made into an area that is relatively bare compared to its old design. The main playground is big and bold and suited for bigger kids. Good facilities including toilets , picnic and bbq areas , plenty of space and dog friendly in some areas away from the playgrounds.

Amazing place for everyone to enjoy! Flying foxes, basketball court, skate park, trampolines just to name a few activities! And 2 huge play grounds on either end of the park - for the younger kids at one end and a larger playground with a spider swing, mini parkour beams with BBQ area AND there's nearly always the Mr Whippy icecream van there majority of the day..

Ballem Park, a hidden gem within the urban landscape, captivates visitors with its unique blend of natural beauty and thoughtful design. Nestled at the heart of the city, this park offers a refreshing retreat from the daily grind. The park's landscape is a symphony of colors and textures, with vibrant flower beds and towering trees creating a picturesque backdrop. Ballam Park is an excellently run athletics club, with facilities, whilst not brand new, are always spotlessly clean and well stocked. Don't always have an open canteen, as some districts don't want it, but they should, as the food, whilst basic, is always fresh, hot and plentiful.

A hidden gem in Frankston. 2 big playgrounds, one caters for smaller kids under 5 and the other suitable for older/teenagers. The flying fox is popular for all ages. There is a decent skatepark and even a basket ball hoop. There are 2 public toilets but no BBQ.

Awesome place with plenty of space for ball games, activities etc. A couple different playground areas for the kids to run amok on. Seems to be quite busy, but still a super cool park.

Great big park so good for off leash dogs. Also has a fun agility area for them. Always some doggy friends to have a sniff and play.

I took my 5 year old grandson to Ballam Park for the first time today. I think I enjoyed it more than he did. There are flying foxes, climbing walls, a basket ball court, climbing poles and nets, trampolines in the mouths of "volcanoes", swings and so much more!! There is shade, seating, toilets and lots of parking. Truly a wonderful place for all ages. We have already planned our next visit, that includes a picnic lunch. Great for kids parties as there is lots of room to move and clear lines of vision to ensure the littlies are safe..

Fun place for fun loving kids. Numerous activities like trampoline pits, skate board/scooter park, basketball court, flying fox, slides & swings and multiple stuff from a regular playground. Not to forget about the barbecue stations for having little picnics.

Love this park. We sometimes travel more than 40 minutes to come down as both of our kids who are 8 and 2 love it. There's a bit of everything for them, 2 adventure playgrounds and good toilet amenities for families.

Fabulous park for all age groups of children. Flying fox, different types of slides, mini trampolines, mini rock climbing, swing, structures to climb on, walking track, etc. Kids always love coming here. Plus an off-led dog park in another section.

  • 4/5 Mila Giganti C. 1 year ago on Google
It is a wonderful large park indeed with good facilities and only getting better. No idea if there are any cameras at sight? Now, we find many dog owners walking away and not collecting dog poo as they do not pay any attention to their dogs. Also, many large dogs roaming free which is dangerous to little dogs for many reasons. Otherwise, 10 out of 10

Really lovely large park. Fantastic playground if you have kids. And plenty of space to run dogs ( even has a fenced off Dog agility area). Always busy but there's so much space you don't notice. Clean, very little litter. There is an old homestead you can visit ( limited opening times. Just a really lovely place to visit, play picnic etc

Great park, but allways being renovated & remodelled.... and looks worser every time they do!. Needs a running track and more slides. Main Playgtound with walkways & Bridge playground easy for you or yr kids to bump your head!! 😔 2 flying foxes are great but allways in use, not enough Swings. Not nearly enough Shade or covered areas. Needs more BBQS Too. Lots of random Cement blocks on ground to crack ya head on.... no dog area, no designated Toilets, no Emergency First-aid box or public Telephone Taps ??? Where to I Finish????? ( and yes very easy to loose your child as there are so many Blind spots!!.

Nice new equipment. Pretty fun for all ages. Lots of BBQ areas and a nice new water area for the little kids. Big park is good teenagers. Bit of fun for everyone. Walking trails for people too.

Kids love this park and the new water park is really awesome. Only lost a star as I agree with other comments that there isn't really a good play space for young toddlers. But for my 2 (4 & 6), they have an absolute blast coming here.

Good big park with different areas for the kids if all ages.

  • 4/5 Joe 1 year ago on Google
Not so close to home but it's a nice place to spend time with kids our with friends for picnic. Ample parking. Only 1 far away toilet was accessible. Skate area, sand pit, swing, zipper line, rock climbing and other activities too. Kids will enjoy and with group of families and kids with a clear day, definitely it would be a worth. Within 10 mins drive, u can get take away too and enjoy in the park.

New playground and family facilities are a welcomed addition! However, disappointed to see the water fountains were struggling to work (low pressure/no water disposal at all). Hoping this can be fixed in the near future!

  • 5/5 Ruairi M. 1 year ago on Google
There was nothing wrong with the park before the rebuild. But I gotta say my kids love it just as much as they did before! 5 stars
