A delightful walk that felt like being in the country. Well marked paths. Different length walks to suit beginners & regular walkers. Lots to explore, birds, critters & flora.

Another great Parkrun location. But I only walk it. And it is free. Saturday mornings at 07:45am. Register at parkrun.com.au

Had a great run around here. There are no dogs allowed. The reservoir has zones for unpowered watercraft (paddle boats, stand up paddle boards, etc) but there is no swimming and no fishing. So quite restrictive here which is good and bad.

Big walking trails, with afew lovely photo opportunities along the way around the dam. I actually thought we would encounter more wildlife but we didn't. Great place for locals to come exercise. Massive dam and a lovely sitting area to rest after a long walk. Took around an hour to do the kookaburra bush circuit. Warning it is hilly and my legs definitely felt it the next day.

Interesting bush setting tucked into suburban Frankston. Seems to be a few walks; although only a few spots to see the water.

Ran the 2nd Birthday parkrun, just by chance, whilst visiting family. A fabulous parkrun. They even had a huge mention in the 1 millionth parkrunner for this weekend. Great volunteers 🙋‍♀️

Wow! First time I've been here, I lived in Frankston for 29 years and didn't realise this hidden gem was here. Recommended by some great friends, great place for a walk, run, cycle, and even bring a kayak down and have a paddle. Though you'll need to carry your kayaks a fair bit so keep in mind that when coming.

A nice easy local walk with the kids, without having to drive for hours to get somewhere. No picnic / toilet facilities or playground, but plenty of those in the surrounding area. Track signage is a bit difficult to interpret, satellite view on google maps helps a lot.

This is a hidden gem. A bush setting in the middle of Frankston. Lovely walking tracks to follow and a longer bike track around the outer boundary. My friends saw a large koala a few weeks ago and it was quite close to the track up a tree. No dogs allowed though.

Very peaceful and if you are lucky you might see koalas (its a koala sanctuary). The loop is about 5km, and some steep inclines, so good to run and walk.

Lovely relaxing walk on the section of the track we were on, believe it is a bit more challenging in other parts.

Not aloud to use a bike is a downer. Would be great to be able to ride around the hole area, nothing left in the area for the kids to ride their bikes.

What a lovely treasure. I have only just discovered this bush beauty. Though it has only been opened to the public since 2016.Enjoyed a good hearty walk for a couple of hours.Such a wonderful natural bush setting. I would advise walkers to wear a good quality hiking shoe.Path ways seem to be well posted.Well done Frankston and all who have made it happen.
