It was better than I expected. A beautifully constructed temple with ample space to take in the spiritual vibes of the religious environment. Although we went during Diwali, it wasn't crowded and we walked around the entire temple for a while. It is a well maintained temple, very hygienic and the priests are courteous. The only con is parking. The irony is that the parking lot is uneven and dusty which gives you a welcoming feel of India. But this drawback is overcome by the delicious and amazing vegetarian food available in the canteen. Who doesn't love a temple that serves tasty and hot food!

Inside the temple is not allowed for photograph. A very nice temple with all the shrines. I was amazed to see the Indian community in and around. Felt as being in India. All the rituals are done exactly as it is done at Indian temples. I appreciate. I recommend visiting here.

One of the largest Hindu religious site in Australia. God Shiva and Vishnu along with other deities are sculptured in very beautiful artistic idols in classical South Indian Dravidian architecture. Several other activities such as cultural, artistic, educational and charity are also conducted here.

This temple has a wide collection of Gods and Goddess sculptured out of granite. There is a facility of offering fruits. The temple is quite spacious, well equipped with car parking, children's playground and a veg restaurant in the temple complex. There are a few Indian restaurant and stores in the locality.

This temple is huge.. Very peaceful.. best for meditation... As soon as you enter the temple, you unknowingly become spiritual even if you're not the one like it and the credit goes to the atmosphere there.. it's so satisfying... 👌🙏 They've got their own pure vegetarian canteen which also serves food without onion-garlic.. The staff is great.. Plenty of free parking spaces.. There's a big Indian grocery store just in front of it too..

This temple is a serene retreat away from traffic. It is still under development, but it exudes a palpable spiritual energy. Lord Vinayaka, Lord Shiva, Navagraha deities, and the main deity, Lord Venkateswara, grace the temple. Their divine presence provides solace and inspiration. Rituals and ceremonies are conducted with sincerity, heightening the spiritual ambience. This temple is a must-visit destination, offering a tranquil and divinely charged experience. Must visit place highly recommended. 1

It’s a Hindu temple and a must visit for everyone as the architecture of this temple is exactly how you would see the temples in India. Beautiful carvings inside and out with lot of different gods to worship if you are a Hindu devotee. There is also a mini zoo where you will see ducks and peacocks and small garden for kids to play. Another positive is that there is a canteen which serves the authentic South Indian food. So if you are spending whole day or even a couple of hours no need to worry carrying food with you. They have good facilities and a peaceful place to worship. Not so peaceful on weekends.

The temple is awesome, the environment is clean and the experience is Divine. Visited few times and spent time in the temple and garden. They have got a place where there are beautiful peacocks. The overall experience was great. There is a canteen near and you can get some good food as well.

It was golden experience for me when I visited the temple. The construction was amazing with high detailing of the sculptures and carvings on the starues. Resembles south Indian temples in all areas. The premises were well organised and hygienic. Only flaw was there were no priests available around to give some prasadas and holy water. That was an awful experience. Vegetarian canteen was well maintained, with tasty and affordable food. Along with this there was an enclosure with peacocks in should be mentioned specially. That gave a vibe of exactly what indian temples are doing. Overall my experience was very much satisfying and I'll recommend the temple to others also.

Beautiful open green space of land with plenty of parking, children’s playground, authentic temple structure building, peacock pens, separate function hall and canteen. The atmosphere felt as though I was walking into an original temple in India with majority of the known idols. Temple inside was peaceful. The peacocks have an amazing deep blue colour boasting their graceful tails of shiny feathers. The self-service (pay at till) canteen had a decent South Indian menu - Masala Dhosa, Uttapam etc.

Har Har Mahadev🙏🙏. What a divine experience visiting Shri Shiva Vishnu temple. The premises are lush green, with ample parking space complemented by beautiful garderns. The temple itself is amazing and nicely built. Could not have asked more for the start to the new year! The cafeteria has some amazing options which comes at very reasonable prices. The society has maintained the premises quite well and the experience is as divine as it could get 🙏

Whenever you've time in a week or a month, do visit a temple. Visit any temple but atleast go once per month to thank HIM for everything. Whatever we are today, it's all because of HIM. Whatever we'll be, that would also be because of HIM. So, never forgot to hold his hands and say thanks for everything.

The largest Hindu Temple in Melbourne, where you can find literally all the gods. Temple is clean and well maintained, with lots of parking spaces. The Prasadham (Sweet Pongal, Puliyodharai, and Sundal) were really good. Nice and peaceful place.

Very calm relaxing place. Very well laid out, has ample parking, well dedicated spaces for footwear, to buy offerings, prayer areas and help. There is a lot of space in the main temple to sit and pray. The food court that sits next to the temple serves hot and delicious food at very reasonable prices.

Holy temple to visit with all deities under the same roof very conveniently. Inordinate delays in the cafeteria to serve cup of tea. A must see in Melbourne. Feel that the temple complex should have a few service apartment so that the devotees can have night stay to witness Mangalaratrikam.

Beautiful temple for Shiva and Vishnu. Can do archanai and take prasadam home. They provide everything and it costs around $15. Outside next to the temple there is a canteen serving dosa idli vada so that is very good too.

The Shiva Vishnu Temple in Melbourne is a remarkable testament to Southern Indian architecture, transporting visitors to a territory far from the city's hustle. The intricate carvings and the ambiance instantly evoke the essence of Southern India. Ambiance and Spiritual Experience: As you step inside, the rhythmic chants and devoted worshipers create an ambiance of tranquility that instills a profound sense of peace and introspection. The golden carvings on the pillars add to the temple's majestic aura. However, photography inside the temple isn't allowed, depriving one of capturing the beautiful atmosphere. Offerings and Temple Details: Pooja thalis with fruits are available at a reasonable cost. Additionally, within the temple premises, there's a dedicated Shani temple where oil diyas can be purchased for offerings. The attention to detail within the shrine and its surroundings is remarkable. Amenities and Surroundings: The temple has ample parking spaces and is surrounded by a beautifully landscaped garden, offering a serene environment. Opposite the temple, there's a vast Indian grocery store Vel spices, catering to diverse needs, making it a convenient stop for weekly groceries or unique finds not available elsewhere. They have two branches and this one opposite the temple is bigger and new. Adjacent to the store they have their own Indian restaurant. Restaurant Experience: Our experience at the attached Indian restaurant was delightful. From the sumptuous Thali to the refreshing Mango lassi, and the delectable Mixed dal Vada and Medu Vada, each dish was a testament to authentic flavors and quality. Overall, a perfect 10 out of 10 for the restaurant's offerings. Conclusion: The Shiva Vishnu Temple isn't just a place of worship; it's a cultural haven that beautifully encapsulates Southern Indian aesthetics. From the spiritual resonance within the temple to the convenience of nearby amenities and the culinary treat at the attached restaurant, this destination offers an immersive experience worthy of exploration.

One of the few temples in Melbourne that give a feel of a traditional Hindu temple. Spacious. On the trip you can visit the neighbouring big Indian stores for religious or grocery shopping.

I would give the mandir a 5 star because how beautifully and clean it is kept. It has a divine vibe that calms your soul. Bit unhappy with price of pooja thali which was $15 for 4 fruits 🤑 which is way too much. Rest food in the restaurant is OK no regret as this is what we expect from canteen inside temple.

Beautiful and grand temple. Very calm and open space with ample parking. One of the best temples in victoria. Kids enjoy as they can play in park, see peacocks and afterwards get a great meal at very reasonable price in the annapurna canteen on same premises.

When I was here in the morning on shiva ratri as I saw the guy who works at temple he is putting all the coconuts in the bin it’s of no use as in my perspective it’s wrong and if you think that it’s wrong don’t encourage it. But you can take that coconut home if that’s useful. If you think that if your are placing for bakthi I so sorry for that to show you like this things But in here think twice when you are doing something.

Wow, just wow. This place was the highlight of my last visit to Melbourne. It brought back memories of the Hindu culture. There are lots of statues in the temple, and it is very charming and spiritual inside. The canteen was great with superb dosa served by the volunteers. They only serve vegetarian food which is to be expected. The sweets were also out of this world.

It's a very peaceful place with shrines dedicated to all major Hindu deities. It's very well maintained, and the priests are adept at what they do. There's also an enclosure with peacocks and peahens right outside, and their sounds will be the first things to greet you as you make your way in and out of the temple, making your experience a truly serene one.

Lovely ambience, felt very nice. One can find most God idols there. Very beautiful temple plus cafeteria provide very tasty vegetarian food in reasonable rates although the waiting time is around one hour.

This temple is not the shiva and Vishnu temple as the name suggests, it has a collection of various Hindu gods and goddesses. The ambiance of the temple is really interesting, very calm and neat. Taking photos and videos is forbidden here. This temple gives us the feel of being in India. So traditional and spacious. Good place to mediate. The car parking is large. There’s a playground nearby for the children and we can spot peacocks in there.
