Craft beer, good wine, better spirits and great cocktails are the big draws here. The crew here focus on friendliness and passion which ripples throughout, from the guns on the taps to the lads in the wine shop. Behind the long bar there's a huge wall of 26 rotating taps to keep your attention piqued. And the bomb here is you can bring food there is a pizza shop right underneath and you can order from them and bring it up. Only other places I have seen do that are like 2 plane rides away. But in food heaven Footscray? Its the bomb in my backyard thanks boys for the awesome service …

Love this place. Friendly, knowledgeable staff that are happy to walk you through the EXTENSIVE beers on tap to help you find the right thing. Great cocktails as well and I really cool warehouse/loft vibe within the bar, with plenty of space (and lighting!) To have a drink with a group of friends. Highly recommend if you're out in the West and want a place to have a drink.

My pick for late night vibe in Footscray for any beer lover but also anything else. Lots of room up top and tunes to match. Food also plus outdoor area, a winner.

Great vibe, though thats it. Huge range Over priced Hipster local Guess i wasnt wearing the right denim $46 for 3 x 440ml, buy a slab for that.. hmm, And Support your local for that.

As Footscray locals, we’ve frequented Mr West many times over the last year. As my profile suggests, I scarcely, if ever, leave a poor review. Tonight has thoroughly disappointed me here at Mr West. While the beer is cold and cocktails satisfying, the service has been lacklustre. To be told a booth needed to be saved “for a bigger group” despite 2/4 occupied booths also having couples was very insulting, especially after giving them the courtesy of asking whether there was further bookings to be aware of. The music is overwhelming, and while looking past this previously, tonight we felt a drink would be better shared where we could talk amongst ourselves while enjoying the ambiance in a booth. We would have been happy to move had a bigger party come along and required the space. We were even in the process of inviting more friends out to enjoy a drink with us now that more space looked as though it was about to be freed up. I don’t think we will be back anymore. The lack of customer service is disappointing given how much we have rallied around and talked about Mr West in an effort to showcase what Footscray has to offer. Thoroughly disappointed.

Hidden gem! Such a hip and relaxing vibe! Huge selection of beer on tap and some imports and must try. If you are looking for place with a chilled atmosphere and a light bite and of course some beverages! Try out Mr West! The bartenders were will verse and knowledgeable with the drinks menu and their recommendations were spot on! Exactly what I explained was exactly the right pick! Kudos! My pick was 5. Mountain Culture! There is about 24 beer on tap! Wow! Pick one :) Spacious and welcoming! Plenty of seats in or out and on two levels.

Excellent venue for a craft beer or cocktail. So many wonderful options on tap with over a dozen pouring. The cheese with honey was great too!

You can bring food in??? WDF??? (Read on) Drinks: As soon as this place was open, everyone knew it was gonna be a hit. Drinks list is off the hook. Especially for whiskey lovers. Service: Bar staff are super friendly. It gets super busy but they still remain very professional and composed. Ambience: It gets packed. But funnily enough, we have pretty much always found a seat. Open air smoking area outside as well. Value: You get more than what you pay for. Very reasonably priced. Summary: You can bring food in??????? Seriously. How fricken’ cool is that? There’s a pizza shop right underneath and you can order from them and bring it up. The only other places I have seen do that are 2 plane rides away. But in food heaven Footscray? Something for everyone at Mr West that is rocking with coolness, calming vibes, dim lighting, splashes of nature and tunes pumping that have you enjoying the space and company of whom you are with.

One of my favourite places in Melbourne. Jimmy, Jordan and everyone else are very kind and generous. I always feel comfortable, safe and happy being there. Keep up the good work.

What a gem! And that’s just the staff. Friendly service and they look after you. A large range of drinks on tap, and a very wide range of spirits.

I went to this place for the first time last night. The venue is dimmed creating nice atmosphere. They have a wide range of unique spirits and tap beers. Bartenders are well-versed in what they have, Josh and Peach are legends! Only one downside of this place is too faraway from where I live lol I would go there every night if the bar was a bit closer. I will definitely visit again soon!!

Great bar and they run great events. Definitely check the place out and enjoy a few beverages. They also have a good bottle shop. Keep an eye on the socials for any event they are running as they are a lot of fun.

The selection is absolutely second to none in the area. The ambience of the place is cool AF. The staff are always absolutely 💯 friendly, available and even have the intuitive ability to make your night better. There's a blonde female there and she's absolutely brilliant- kind and always trying to make the customer happy!!!

One of my favourite bars in Melbourne. Super cool spot. Booze selection is awesome. Pizza from across the road is great too. Short train ride from the CBD and is well worth a trip out to.

Vibin' local bar. An amazing bar in the Westside that has you covered in all areas. There is a bottle shop on the ground floor that you can grab for take away or drink there with a corkage fee. Great selection of beers, wines, vodka, whiskey, gin and much more. If you head upstairs there is a bar serving a number of different types of beers on tap. You can also order pizza from the Slice across the road which is a highlight. They also have a courtyard and front shop outdoor area which is dog friendly. Not to mention their friendly staff and good service.

Love the team here. Super helpful and a great selection of wines, spirits and beers that you don't normally see in your standard bottle shops. Support them during this Covid_29 period. They can take up to 10 peeps at a time. Unfortunately - the rooftop bar is closed on Monday (and Tuesday ) night. So didn't get to experience the place fully. However, good tunes and selection of drinks. Enough for me to want to go back.

Awesome bar upstairs and bottle shop down stairs. The decor is gorgeous, has a cool vibe and the bar staff are chilled and super nice. Love the plants!

Nice place and good share of space with pizza shop. Down side is random people wandering by which can be a bit unsettling

Great selection of Craft Beers both in the bar and bottleshop, can get abit pricey especially if you Drink In as the prices include $4-5 corkage but your gonna enjoy almost everything on offer here. Great vibes in the bar, but if you can best to do your shopping in the bottleshop and grab what your after as takeaway to save yourself alot of dollarydoos.

The team at Mr West went over and above to make our booking an awesome night- super friendly and great to deal with.

We had the pleasure of attending an online zoom cheese and craft beer tasting with cheeses from France and Craft beer matchings supplied by Mr West Bar and Bottle shop in Footscray. Mr West came up with a really good collection of local craft beers and the matching were explained and made sense. Favourites included the Molly Rose Pamplemousse Bleu Belgian style ale with a citrus backing and 8% alcohol and the Future Mountain Fireside smoked porter. Both of these really worked with their cheese pairing and were great to try. Can’t wait to visit Mr West’s in person when I am able to venture beyond my 25km bubble again.

Nice fitout, great beer and whisky selection. Quality of venues in Footscray is up there these days! Bottleshop on the ground floor and has a large seating area with a smoking area upstairs. Big beer selection on tap. Noticed a lot of local Aussie whiskies on the back shelf as well, seemed like a decent general selection of whisky compared to most places.

Good drinks selection, great cocktails, friendly staff, convenient NFC/QR menu and order. And of course extra points for location and opening hours, making Footscray more lively and closer to the city.

Fabulous experience every time. Warm staff when you go in, accommodated my need to order online and keep it in their cool room till after lockdown.
