My son has been attending Rock Academy now for 3 years and I cannot speak highly enough of how much he has grown and developed as a musician and member of the greater music family. Alan and Phil and all the mentors are so positive and work tirelessly to support all the "Young Lions" through their music journeys. I have recommended this program to all my friends and the stage performance to close out the week is always outstanding.

Rock Academy is a much needed outlet for kids who love music and fun in a safe environment. Coming from a regional town it is often hard to find like minded young musicians. My son learnt so much from the professional tutors in this program. From production, writing, and performance - everything is comprehensively covered during the week. Alan & Phil provide a welcoming and safe environment for both parents & kids. They are really approachable if you have any questions. I hope my son can attend again soon!

There is nothing quite like Rock Academy. It has been a brilliant experience for our whole family. Both our kids have participated on multiple occasions and the benefits they have received have exceeded our expectations. You can’t fake it with kids - the authentic rock industry exposure is real and the kids drink it in. Alan and Phil are the real deal. In our case our kids were able to explore an aspect to their music education not available at school and incorporate it back into the kinds of music they want to learn and perform. The effects have been lasting.

I highly recommend Rock Academy Australia! My son Josh attended their school holiday program and had an amazing experience. The instructors were knowledgeable and passionate about music, and they provided a fun and supportive environment for the kids to learn and grow as musicians. Josh came home each day excited to show us what he had learned and couldn't wait to go back the next day. The program was well-organized and the facilities were top-notch. Excellent for teenagers who want to rock! Phil and Alan have devised a great program for young people to gain experience and make connections with like minded peers and industry professionals.

Rock Academy is a fantastic holiday program where kids get mentored by leading musicians in the song writing as well as performing live music. Both Alan and Phil are fantastic in the way they encourage all of the Young Lions to ensure everybody shines in this super supportive environment. We are so lucky to have found Rock Academy - such a unique program that give the teens the perfect environment to use their creative and musical skills to work together to write and perform their own music. The variety of amazing mentors are a fantastic way for the young lions to get a real understanding of the music industry, their advice and encouragement has had such a positive impact on our kids music. They thrive on being able to play the music they want to play instead of being told what to play and how to play it. This is what we love about RAM. My daughter has participated in the last two Rock Academy Melbourne events, and the positive impact it has had on her is remarkable. Not only has she had exposure to world class musicians / mentors and facilities, she has simply never experienced anything like it in all the years she has been participating in music both at school and elsewhere. Being placed in a random band and having to collaborate to write, arrange and perform a song in a few days has provided her with the opportunity to develop life skills which go way beyond the musical domain. I would not have thought it possible a few months ago that my daughter would be performing front and centre on stage, full of confidence and looking like she truly belonged. Rock Academy has the power to change young lives for the better. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Rock Academy Australia provided an excellent opportunity for our son, to gain further experience as a drummer. Paired up with like minded kids he enjoyed working in two different bands and learnt so much from the experience of writing an original piece, and tackling a complex cover piece. The mentors were brilliant - positive, nurturing and full of enthusiasm as they shared their skills and passion for music with the kids. After 4 days in a real life scenario of creating, and rehearsing at Bakehouse studios it culminated in a thoroughly professional and exciting end of week performance. My son had a ball! And we were blown away by what could be achieved in such a short space of time...all the kids and their pieces were amazing! Thanks Rock Academy. What you do is hugely important for our kids and for the nurturing of music in their lives.

Our son has done RA twice and, like all the other participants, absolutely loves it. RA has been fantastic for his musical and social growth. The program is very well-structured, guided by successful, experienced, professional musicians and culminating in unforgettable performances by the young people. If you have a young musician in your family, I highly recommend this amazing program.
