I wanted to find a inexpensive massage place that I can go weekly, tried here for the 1st time today. Got a massage from Owen (?), quality was above average, but he cleared his throat on and off which’s a little annoying. This place used to call “LH Foot Massage” and the business has renamed “Essential Massage”. It can be noisy at times. Employees chit chat, and some people(including customers) have no common sense. They should put up a big sign says: “NO TALKING on cell phone in massage area, SILENCE your cell phone!”

I was very happy until I paid tips. The person who gave me massage was very friendly and nice with good smile. I gave 20% tips to him and suddenly he got upset and complaining it’s too cheap. I got confused because I never got complains paying 20% tips. He just grabbed the money and left. He didn’t even say “thank you” or“bye” nothing. I was shocked how quick he turned to as a different person. The massage was very good tho. I want to go there again to get massage but I hesitate to go back because now I feel so much pressure to pay more than 20% of tips.

I've gone here for a couple of years and love it! But if you aren't familiar with Asian massage, it's NOT the same as western massage! The techniques and the environment are different. Most of the bad reviews here are from people who were expecting a western massage experience. If you like Asian massage, or if you are adventurous and open to new experiences, this place is fantastic and very affordable! Don't be stingy with your tip though. These people work hard for their living!

I have had a "head to toe foot massage" probably 30 times at this location. The price used to be $30, but I believe recently, the price has increased to $40 which is still a GREAT deal. The main reason for my review today is a recommendation on tipping. If you enjoy your massage, you should tip AT LEAST $15. I always tip $20, but twice, I tipped $25 for the best massages ever! If you tip 20%, you are massively undertipping. I do not think the employees make an hourly wage, and they only work off of tips and maybe a percent of the massage being purchased. There is a tipping recommendation right on the counter. Read it and tip accordingly. Your masseuse should make $30 to $40 per hour. The salon obviously collects a portion of the money. So my advice is to do your masseuse a solid and throw them a $20. A massage is definitely worth $60 for a full hour. I see several reviews where people complain about tipping and how rude that your masseuse expects you to tip. Of course, they expect you to tip! It's how they make their money. Where can you go to get a $40 massage? Don't be stingy! Tip the masseuse and tip them well.

Massage quality was a good four stars, but the noise level was one star! It's hard to enjoy your massage when the manager talks loudly with other employees on top of talking loudly on the phone with the loud speaker on right next to people getting massages.

A friend and I got massages today based on recommendations from a couple other friends. We honestly didn't have high expectations especially since the cost was a fraction of what we are used to paying for the same service elsewhere. We were beyond pleasantly surprised! One of the best massages I have ever had and my friend experienced the same. We will definitely be regulars...

Massage was good when I went 5 years ago so I decided to go back with some friends but this time i chose a private room with another female friende and we were given two male masseuse. I don't recommend getting a private room. They were better out in the open. The men made some comments about body parts in mandrian and some very inappropriate comments. Let's just say I understand what ur saying. The gentleman in front who took care of customer service was much nicer and he was white .. that calmed me down or else I would have lost it. I am giving it a one star because the other girls in my party who had a lady masseuse and an older gentleman said their masseuse were professional. DONT GET THE MALE MASSEUSE THEY ARE PERVES in private rooms.
