I have nothing but praise for this hotel. We stayed in a double queen suite on the first floor. It was very spacious for a family of four. It was a little spendy for our five night stay, but it was still great. The breakfast was good. Rooms were clean. The hotel was recently remodeled, and it is definitely an upgrade (we stayed here before the remodel. The location is ideal. Easy access from 512 and 167. Close to the mall, restaurants, and coffee. Will definitely stay here again.

Simple, clean, well thought out facility. Great staff helped us to learn how to say "Puyallup." Comfy beds, good breakfast offerings including a pancake machine that promises a fresh, hot pancake in a minute. The roll down drapes really darken the room. Pretty quiet. Close to refueling station and a McDonald's. Adequate parking.

The hotel was beautifully Decorated. The room was clean, roomy and stylish. The breakfast was delicious, and the pool was nice. One of the cleanest hot tubs I have ever seen. Staff was friendly, and when our wifi wasn't working we got immediate help from tech support to figure it out. And the manager Jason is very friendly and patient when dealing with stressed out customers. 10/10 Management 10/10 food 10/10 room design and comfort 10/10 recommend this hotel. Only note- could there be a few more chairs in the pool area? That's the only thing that was lacking.

All the staff were amazing, treat you as if you're in a high end resort. Great food and very clean inside and out. 11:37 still can't sleep and I can hear people above me walking, banging, bumping, door closing really loud. Will stick with the Best Western or Hilton if my room is not on the top floor

We stayed here for ~6 weeks while our house was under (insurance) repair. My insurance paid for everything so I have no reason to be dishonest here, I'm just sharing my experience. The staff at the hotel are truly lovely. Everyone was so kind even though I'm sure my family started to get annoying given we have two dogs. I was pretty surprised to find that the hotel is per friendly, but they REALLY mean it. My dogs are well behaved, but let's say they can get a little excited to meet new people. I was so nervous about this, about walking them through the halls for daily potty etc, but everyone (staff and guests) were always happy and pleasant to see us, even when my dogs got a little too personal with strangers for MY own comfort. I can't say how much I appreciate that, we really felt at home despite being a strange and inconvenient band of characters. On to the bad: the hotel ventilation is SUPER bad. Nearly non-existent. The windows in the rooms don't open, and the exhaust fans.... don't seem to really exhaust much. After a shower, the room becomes a swamp and stays that way the rest of the day. We ended up ordering a dehumidifier off amazon after two days and used it constantly for the remainder of our stay. Twice a day we would have to empty the FULL ~4 cup water catcher from the dehumidifier. We also got weirdly lucky in that our room was scheduled for an AC cleaning in ~week 2, so we brought up these concerns to the AC tech, showed him the dehu etc. Nothing was done about it, probably we should have pushed harder, and next time we will. Towards the end of our stay, we caught the cough that's been going around and I am worried that the room we stayed in was making our sickness worse because as soon as we checked out we both started improving immediately. I don't know if we would stay here again. The pet friendly aspect may make it our only option, but the environment of the rooms really is tough to swallow.

I really enjoyed my stay at Holiday Inn Express. The room was spacious, with all the amenities I needed. The customer service was great and everyone was friendly. The only flaw I could mention is the location. It was packed into a small parking area, arguably too small for the guests, with a McDonald's directly in front of the lobby. Other than that, my stay was great. Happy traveling!

Front desk clerk was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, spacious. Felt comfortable and had a good vibe. Only negative is they only had one elevator which you have to wait a long time for. Overall would stay at this location again if needed and after looking at hotels in the area is likely one of the better ones.

I came here because my hotel by the Tacoma Mall was extremely noisy being right next to Hwy 5 plus the area felt very sketchy. That night I did not sleep well. The person I talked at this Holiday Inn Express over the phone about available rooms away from the 512 freeway was top notch and true to her word. I checked out around 10 and drove for a couple of hours then decided to sit in the lobby until my room was ready. The guy at the front desk offered to see if it was. It was the first floor but I was tired and took it. Up to that point service was excellent and I was extremely happy to find the room very clean and quiet. Not only that it came with several K Cups of coffee and coffee cups, not the usual one requiring the need to ask for more. In this age of post Covid that is hard to find. Though I could hear some foot traffic above me this hotel meet all my expectations and then some. A definite must for a revisit the next time I am in the area. To top it off there are plenty of choices in restaurants nearby.

Very clean very accommodating nice indoor pool. We were having a car show they even provided places to wash the car specifically for our group. Breakfast was very good the room was clean the dining area was spotless white Downs going on continuously. Right next door was McDonald's and a convenience store with gas station. Two blocks away was a mall at least 10 eateries.

Beautiful stay. Lovely staff. Amazing complementary breakfast. Clean and modern hotel room. Everything you expect and want from a hotel, and it was done right. Thank you for your hospitality. My family & I enjoyed our stay 😊💕

Conveniently located right next a Chevron/McDonald's combo so late night food and drinks is an easy option. Room was clean, bed was comfy, and you had two kinds of pillows to choose from. Pool was smaller but was great to cook down in after a super hot day.

Front desk lady was AMAZING, I wish I could remember her name (she has a 4yr old). We just wanted to use pool and have pizza party with the neighbors. Went back in the AM to swim and have breakfast. We actually missed breakfast, but another front desk lady went in the back and got us some muffins. Best service I have had in a long time!! Don't lose those front desk girls, or it just a Holiday Inn

Really nice hotel in the heart of Puyallup. Very clean and well maintained. Rooms smell fresh and AC works great! Breakfast from 6-10am. Front desk check in was easy and Kaylee at the front desk was friendly and gave us great restaurant recommendations. Great place to stay for the Washington State Fair!

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Puyallup for 13 days straight while our house was getting repairs done! This hotel was hands down the best with friendliness, cleanliness, and comfort. We ended up having to extend our stay and they gave us no problem at all with that and let us stay in our same room. Molly was our house keeper and she went over, above and beyond for us with making sure each day our room was cleaned to perfection and gave us extra towels so we wouldn’t have to call down to the front desk and request for me. The hotel is extremely clean! The front desk manager was so extremely helpful and was able to accommodate our request. We had the BEST experience ever! I recommend staying at Holiday Inn Express, Puyallup during your travel. You will be happy you did!

I recently stayed at this hotel in room 215 and it was nice when we got here and the longer we stayed it got worse. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work so the room started getting very musty and mildew smell. Window seal was growing mold on it. 1 night I also had a cockroach in my bed. The night before we were going to move out I was packing up and got my kids fruit snacks box out of the top shelf of the closet and it was full of baby cockroaches. They gave me a new room for the night but that wasn’t going to keep me at this hotel. I would not recommend it.
