OK for sleeping only. Rooms are very normal. But without carpet. And the reception told me that they cannot give me slippers as they are "environmetally friendly". Not even tissues or napkins in the room. You have to use toilet paper to clean your mouth. Definitely not a real 4-star hotel where I come from. The only plus was the good breakfast.

I live he location of this hotel. Though it has lost a bit the level of service and amenities since years, but staff are more than friendly and cooperative. Breakfast is good though the quality has changed a lot! But still considered best place to be while in Copenhagen. Train station is few minutes away! They had during Christmas a playing room with playstation and ping pong table! The kids enjoyed staying there a lot, me too! I highly recommend it!

Enjoyed our stay here. It was a comfortable bed and very clean. The lounge is open and very inviting. Staff was very helpful when I had an allergy issue in the middle of the night and even though they couldn't go to the 7-11 around the corner for me they were kind enough to tell me where it was.

For a person who has been travelling the world and stayed in hundreds of hotel, I can really not recommend this facility for many reasons. I am staying in a junior Suite room and there is a really bad smell inside the room , not clean, no room service and consider expensive. The only perfect thing about this place is the location.

Review heavily influenced by service. Great location and very nice rooms, I stayed alone in a suite with a king bed, but plenty of space for a family to stay. No fridge, and no microwave in rooms. Staff could be more friendly. Remember to tell them a day in advance if you want your room made.

Located near the main station, it's perfect for travellers coming by train. The rooms are luxurious, and you'll have a fantastic view of the city if you're on one of the higher floors. The breakfast was a solid 9/10, with many different options, all equally amazing. It also features a restaurant, but I haven't eaten there so I couldn't tell you anything about it.

The best part about this hotel is the location. It has a Metro stop literally in front of the hotel so that it is very easy to get there from the airport. It is also located within walking distance to many shops restaurants and historic buildings. The room was small and the bed for 2 a little small but it was clean and adequate (3-stars). The breakfast required a specific time reservation the day before, which is not good if you want to just eat when you wake up. I recommend going early because it gets too crowded with people later in the morning. The buffet is excellent with lots of options and nice seating. The area outside can get noisy at night so if you want a super quiet place this would not be it. Nonetheless it was not so noisy that we couldn’t sleep (we were on the 6th floor). Overall summary is that it’s an adequate hotel if you want to be close to everything.

Nice and friendly staff in the reception. Sadly the room isnt cleaned properly. Found traces of several hair by the sink. You don't feel comfortable knowing that the room is not up to standard, and prepared in a hurry.

A great hotel located at the heart if Copenhagen. Rooms are clean and staff is very friendly and helpful. I stayed there for two nights dye to flight cancellations and was surprised with the location and view. Breakfast is great with fresh pancakes and waffles. Also its a eco friendly hotel which is always a plus. When staying there ask for room with the view of planetarium for great view of the city.

My room was very small and basic but the restaurant was fantastic and the location is ideal. Right beside the main station. Very easy city to walk and use public transport. Best breakfast I have had in a hotel. So much choice of freshly cooked hot food with a drinks and pastries. Woke up excited for the food! Look out for the ginger shots and the bacon scramble.

Unhelpful staff. On check-in we have been advised to use the safe parking garage of the hotel. Now, for once it is signposted "Tivoli" and the Scandic Hotel shows nowhere. Mentioning that to staff, she replied "Yes, we know, but don't know why". It would have been good to be advised BEFORE we try to find the hotel parking in that garage. That was not the worst part. Checking out next day, we could not get to the garage, because the card reader for the elevator did not work. And, of course, the service button did not work either. Going back to reception, we were told they would mention that to the service company. We had to find out ourselves that there was another entry via staircase. When mentioning that, they said: oh, yes, there is one. Instead of offing to help getting the luggage via the staircase to the car, they offered just and apology for the inconvenience. Having stayed numerous times in other Scandic hotels, this was the least helpful staff so far. Congratulations. You win the golden lemon!

Great view from our room, and staff very nice. The breakfast was amazing, large and many things to pick (classic Scandinavian thing) The area was acceptable yet the Themepark about 15 minutes away, but it didn't hurt to walk there. Would recommend.

I don't understand people saying the rooms were all the small side. They were actually very spacious. I am glad we had a window that could open because the room was warm and the cooling didn't seem to be working properly. Nice soft bed and pillows so comfortable to be in after the horrible bed on our cruise ship. The shower was wonderful, high pressure and hot. Weird piece of glass that separated shower from rest of bathroom so water got everywhere. The front desk staff was great, they were able to print something out for us. Buffett was wonderful this is almost the highlight of my trip. Also wonderful location in city center.

Decent hotel. The price is good and the location is excellent. The breakfast buffet was very good. The rooms are a little smaller and just OK. There was a problem at check-in that was resolved ok with regards to bed size and what was shown online.

We had a great stay here. Rooms were clean and modern. One complaint is we had a corner room and the curtains didn’t span the entire window so the sun blazed into the room in the morning. Breakfast bar was REALLY good. I also loved the hotel restaurant. The manger was very friendly and welcoming. Meal was delicious and the dessert was my favorite in Copenhagen. Local is a little far from central shopping district. About a 25 min walk. Overall I definitely recommend this hotel.

Hotel was very nice. Rooms were great and the views across the city amazing. Breakfast was also nice. Only dropping a star because we tried to have dinner in the hotel but was told it was full, but weren't told we'd had to pre book. Only the lobby section of seating was being used with the huge seating area / assumed restaurant area behind it closed off. Still a great experience and would likely return though

Good hotel very close to the city center. Rooms are spacious and clean. Mattress was a little to soft for me but is a personal preference. Breakfast had lots of options and they were good. Parking is pricey but close enough. Would recommend

The only good things about this hotel are the very central location and the breakfast. The rooms are very poorly equipped, no kettle, no coffee maker, not even a mini-bar or a closet in the room. The bathroom is also very sparsely furnished. The air conditioning hardly manages to cool the room down, rather lukewarm air flows out here instead of cold air. At check-in, the guarantee amount will be blocked on the credit card as a deposit and then debited again. If the customer is supposed to pay in advance anyway, the deposit makes no sense at all. In Copenhagen there are far better hotels at this price level with considerably more comfort!

I had a lunch in this hotel today. The food tasted really good but unfortunately the temperature inside the building was so low that I could not enjoy my meal an the chat with my colleagues. We all agreed that it was too cold.

Scandic Copenhagen is a great hotel with a beautiful view of a lake. The hotel is in a good location and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel has nice amenities like a gym and a restaurant. It's also close to attractions and transportation. The hotel is a fantastic place to stay and enjoy a peaceful time.

We had a very nice 4-night stay at this location, right across from the planetarium. We were offered an upgrade from a standard triple to a junior suite and, without having seen the original room, we were glad to have upgraded for the more spacious room. Nice staff all around (front desk, the hard-working breakfast crew, and the servers in the restaurant in the evening). One tip: we happened to be staying during the closing Pride weekend; the evening festivities were both proud and loud, and so you may want to request a room away from the city whole side if staying during that weekend.

Excellent place and awesome hotel. Staff is friendly and rates are quite reasonable. It is located at the centre of Copenhagen. Everything is at walking distance be it walking street, central station, restaurants, cafes, shops, banks etc Highly recommended

Really pleased with our 4 night stay here. Very comfortable beds. Quiet room and excellent view. Staff are really welcoming. Variety of breakfast dishes is great. If I have any criticism at all it is to do with the cold plates for hot food at breakfast - they make the food cold and I do not like cold eggs. I’m not sure why the bacon is served diced into small pieces.

Location of this hotel was very great. Near a festival that had fireworks and close to all Copenhagen attractions. Food was not really good and service was very minimal. My flight was cancelled and I was sent to this hotel, for the regular price I would definitely look to see if the hotels location is right for you.

Very spacious room and facing the lake with an unblocked view. The food at the restaurant is great too for both Dinners and Breakfast. However, do note that the waiting time can be quite long as the restaurant doesn't seems to have sufficient staff to support the business esp. for Dinner. For the Breakfast, there are alot of staff helping out so there are no long waiting time. Location wise, its very central and going anywhere is very convenient and just by walking one will be able to reach places of interest.

Very good, rooms nice and spacious. Central location, close to Tivoli. I would recommend this place. For parking you can use close by QPark which can be accessed from hotel.

What a great hotel. Super friendly staff. Extremely extensive breakfast. Extremely clean rooms. Great organization. Sorry, but there's nothing to scold about. I felt very good.

Loud music at night that you can hear in the rooms. The rooms were very small and poorly organized, while missing simple amenities like a kettle for coffee/tea. They’re also poorly kept, as there were dark red stains in the bathroom. Asked the front desk for an extra pillow which did not get delivered. Room is only cleaned if you schedule it. Breakfast and the location are the only half decent thing’s about this hotel.

There are a number of Scandic Hotels in Copenhagen but this one hit the spot for me as it was reasonably priced and the location is excellent being minutes away from the Train Station and City Hall. I can’t praise the buffet breakfast highly enough it had something for everyone’s taste from full cooked breakfasts, juices and fruit, cold cuts and cheeses with bread, a pancake and waffle station. Finally abundant Danish pastries and coffee. I would recommend filling up at breakfast as you will have a full day trying to take in some of the many sights, plus food can be expensive here… If possible try to get a room overlooking the lake at the back, it’s a lovely thing to see every morning when you look out your window

You have to contact reception to get your room cleaned, even on a multi-night stay. My room is next to the lift shaft and I can hear it constantly going up and down. There's no coffee/tea facilities in the room, and if you want breakfast you have to book with reception the night before. Unwelcoming, unpleasant, would definitely not come back.

Good locatet, great view from the upper floors, nice breakfast, friendly stuff. Rooms a little bit too spartanly and scanty for the price. No possibility to store clothes or suitcases anywhere. Room was not clean when we arrived and not clean after we required a cleaning (as there is no regular room service). Hair, dust, sand everywhere on the floor. All in all much too expensive for what is offered.

Nice simplistic hotel. It was very clean and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was okay, no fresh food like a omelet station, but I had a good start in the day.

It sells itself as a premium product but it is obviously run by corporates with little regard to service. Especially painful it is attempt to greenwash its cost savings as sustainable. Very little regard to customers. They smile for you but do nothing to make your stay better.

Downtown, in the middle of the centre, just five minutes walk from Tivoli. If you want a romantic weekend stay and dwell at a fantastic breakfast buffet, this is not the place. Yes, it will fill you up, but not in pair with Danmark's reputation as a culinary nation. The quality of the coffee is poor, and it is even worse in the conference area as the "coffee machines" do not even use coffee, but rather a black concentrate. The conference lunch with roast beef was very tasty! but unfortunately, on the last day, I had some scrambled eggs from the breakfast buffet and got food poisoning.

Clean looking hotel when entering the hotel and on isles. In the room some problems like nott cleaned under the sinks and actually look quite bad. Room was also slightly cold and the change of temp in the airconditioning had zero effect. Great breakfast 😊

Nice and friendly hotel. A little cold in the breakfast area and it's a shame there was no fridge in the junior suite but otherwise all was good. The rooms have great views and the hotel is in a great location close to Central station and the city centre.

Starting to need a little bit of renovation. Breakfast quite deficient, due to Covid restrictions. Most other hotels are back to normal, but not Scandic Copenhagen. Quite odd with restrictions during breakfast, since there are no restrictions in the lobby bar.

  • 5/5 Kostas L. 1 year ago on Google
Comfortable rooms. Good breakfast, including plenty of healthy choices (fruits, vegetables, organic, etc.). Prefer a room with a view to the Copenhagen canals; it's quite pleasing. The canals, just in front of the hotel is a scenic pedestrian and cycling are of the city.

Really excellent stay, staff were friendly and efficient. We had a good sized room looking out onto the lakes. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. The price was ok too. Rooms have smart tvs so you can cast your favourite entertainment to the tv. All in all, a good stay.

  • 4/5 Arkadiusz K. 2 years ago on Google
Room was very clean, hotel is really good placed - it's really close to the railway station and grocery shops. Breakfasts were delicious and had a very large selection. However, I was very surprised that I had to pay for a locker room. I think this is something that has to be changed. Also, it would be great to have a TV with internet connection in it.

I booked a package at Scandic Hotel in Copenhagen in December. I canceled 3 days ahead of stay because of covid, Copenhagen shut down all the tourist attractions. My plane ticket was refunded, the private tour guide refunded. Not the Scandic Hotel. They kept $700 of my money, no refund or opportunity to rebook. Consider this before you book here.

We stayed in many Scandic locations across our two week trip through Scandanavia! This one was a disappointment because my husband had accidentally booked the wrong date and when we arrived there they let us stay for the one night and did not inform us that our funds from the previous night went to waste. They assured us to wait and they would arrange something for us at the hotel for the following night. They left us empty and our $250 for the night went to waste, they did not give us any credit or service or offer to accommodate us at another one of their hotels!!! This is just outrageous to me because we were with two little kids and we had paid for 2 nights. This was of the last two nights of our trip. It was super disappointing being treated like this! They need to be more courteous about people's money and situations. Accidents happen, that's why customer service needs to have some flexibility to be able to accommodate. I expected more from a higher star rating of a hotel like this one. Customer service needs to be very active in making sure the customer leaves happy and cared for in this industry!

I can't rate the rooms, as I wasn't in anyone of them, I was there for a conference, but the food and service was very good, I'm not the salad kinda guy, but had to have a second plate of their Cesar salad, we had a guy called Ahmed (Spellcheck) as host, and he was great, can't put a finger on the service! It was my second time there, wasn't disappointed the first time either 😊

Smaller sized rooms than most, I was on business though and didnt book the rooms personally. An elevator was out of order while I was there. The breakfast was top class though and the lounge area and bar is a great place to spend the evening hours. Plus the views of the sunrise from my room window was nice...

  • 5/5 Ian K. 2 years ago on Google
Excellent service. Was feeling unwell... They had their house doctor call me, we went over issues and he called in meds for me. Charged to the room. Other than that, rooms were clean, breakfast was delicious and beautiful and the location was great!

We arrived from CPH quite early in the morning and the Front Desk staff was very accommodating allowing us to place our bags in storage until we could check in. After a few hours of wandering around Copenhagen--getting the lay of the land--we returned and they allowed us an early check in. The hotel is in a great location as it's close to a lot of sites, the metro, and the central train station (about a 10 minute walk). Breakfast was included and you're not going to go hungry. There were a lot of choices and thankfully a lot of seating. I could ding the hotel on the traffic jam during breakfast time at the lift bay, but fast thinking staff allowed us to use the service lifts. There is a gym, if you want to work out, but my husband took advantage with the location by the lakes to get his morning runs in. The hotel also offers laundry service (which we took advantage of), but it was really pricey--it was worth it in the end, though since we didn't have lug around dirty clothes. If you need forms printed, the front desk was fantastic in getting that done for us. All in all, we were very happy with our stay here and would stay again. I only wish we had a room on a high floor; I'm sure the views are to die for. We stayed in a family room which consisted of a "bedroom" & "living room" (pull out sofa) and it worked great for our needs.

This was a great hotel for a short visit to Copenhagen. The room was clean, neat, and well designed. The daily breakfast was a surprise in how good it was.

I was there for a conference and the setting was good. It had nice conference rooms and the catering was alright. It has quite central location in the inner city close to public transportation. However, I do not know how it is as a hotel since I didn’t stay there overnight.

  • 5/5 Martin S. 2 years ago on Google
The service was great, we had a breathtaking view from the 13th floor and also the rooms were very comfortable. Location is quite central and perfect to start a walk around the city. The breakfast room could have been less crowded during pandemic times and the tasty breakfast was more quality than variety. During the busy breakfast time, also the elevators were quite packed. some more capacity would be great here.

I absolutely loved staying here. Used a gift certificate and spiced it up with an additional stay. Made sure to stay on the 16th floor. Staff were fab, breaky was fantastic. And the hotel is in the center of Cph, so easy access to pretty much everything Rooms were fine, only complaint was a missing fridge. But the view and the bed was excellent.. Can highly recommend this hotel

I would say that based on my experience of staying at this hotel, it was below from my expectations as compared to the cost it charge you and to the other hotels. Rooms were not got cleaned, used towels of the day were not replaced with clean towels, in the evening when l asked at reception, I was told that cleaners don't come to room for cleaning or changing towels unless customer have asked them, when I mentioned that how would I as a customer know this policy or procedure, I was told that they should have told me which was not been. The room itself, was not great when I compare with other hotels in this city of same stars ranking. Apart of this, there was not a good range of choice in breakfast, in the kitchen hot milk was finished. So, I would try not to use this hotel in future.

  • 4/5 Cong H. 1 year ago on Google
A nice hotel at a great location with the upper floors looking over the city. If you’re lucky (or unlucky, depends on who you ask), you will also see (and hear) fireworks at Tivoli Garden happening every Saturday near midnight. Breakfast buffet is decent but quite repetitive.

  • 4/5 Paul M. 1 year ago on Google
Probably one of the most popular hotels in downtown Copenhagen Rooms have great views either to the lakeside or city side. Ample lifts for busy periods and clean simple rooms, albeit single ones are very limited in space. The gym is also minimal but has a good sauna and changing facility. Main train station a 10 minute walk with Vesterbro S 5 mins away. Plenty of dining and drinking establishments both casual and up market nearby. Hotel breakfast is excellent though evening dining is more casual than upmarket. My "go to" hotel for stays.

Great location, good food, but the room not so fantastic. We had a family stay (2 adults and 2 kids) My husband and I had very tiny single beds next to each other with very thin pillows and mattresses! The room temperature was centrally set to 22 degrees, according to the receptionist, and couldn’t be changed but obviously our room was colder than the reception or any of the other hotel areas. The sink in the bathroom was clogged, when i removed the metal part that closes the water going to the canal, looked little disgusting as if it hasn’t been cleaned recently. The toilet seat was partly broken. Our room was #304, so don’t choose that room. Other than that, the view was lovely and we were facing quiet street. When I felt cold, I went to the sauna to get some heat. So that worked, but the room condition and AC temperature to me was not great. Far away from 4 star experience, unfortunately.

Such a lovely hotel, very modern and clean. We were offered a room upgrade to a Suite upon check in for a small fee which we took up their offer and it was such a lovely room, lots of space and amazing views of Tivoli from our windows. Breakfast was great and the location is fantastic, a quick walk to the bus stops, train station and Metro station and is also centrally located for lots of attractions (such as Tivoli and The Planetarium) and also has lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The staff were all so lovely and kind. We would 100% recommend this hotel.

As always one of the best hotels in the city, amazing views from the rooms, the staff speak in many languages and are very kind! Only problem hotel has really small parking, but there are many places to park around. You can walk around 5 minutes and you will be in the main square, amazing!

Had a very enjoyable stay at Scandic Copenhagen. The staff were very nice, and even sendt up some free fruit for me and my travel companion. The elevator was extremely fast, and we were able to store luggage after checking out. The size of the room was perfect, and we had a good view. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was just as any standard hotel breakfast. The location of the hotel was very good - only a couple of minutes to the train station or to the main shopping street. Only minus was that there were not that much space in the bathroom to store toiletries, and the shower/bath tub seemed a bit old and made a lot of noise when draining. We were also missing a kettle in the room to make tea, coffee or hot chocolate. But overall, a great stay.

  • 4/5 Aravind R. 1 year ago on Google
The hotel is located right in the center close to the main train station with a great view. The hotel is super nice clean and quite large, 17 floors and 28 rooms per floor. Very clean rooms although compact you have a great experience.
