Hands down one of the better hotels I've stayed at in West Africa. Rooms are really really nice and comfortable, service and staff exceptional. Food is also very very good. Great location for both holiday and business, being close to freetown and also the beaches. I look forward to returning!

Been there last year, after we finished the Budapest-Bamako rally. The staff was amazing with everything and the rooms were beautiful and brand new. It is most definitely a huge step above all the other hotels in the area. We were so lucky finding this hidden gem, after some horrible experiences in other hotels in the area.

Stayed for a couple of months ths and the Lead family were the most hospitable hotel I have ever been to! The gym is very well equipped, the restaurant has a variety of choices not to mention the chef and dining staff are on point every single time, and if you feel like dining in your room, room service is quick to deliver! The pool is very clean and extremely relaxing on a bright sunny day and again the staff will bring you food and beverages to the poolside! All and all a very amazing experience thanks to the manager and concierge Mr Roland and Mrs Jehann!

The staff and hotel are brilliant and so incredibly accommodating. The hotel is well situated for a romantic getaway, a family stay or a business trip. Our restaurant attendant was the absolute BEST! The pool area is great and is so well situated for a family, long swims, or cocktail lounging.

Now this is on a different level. This hotel or better called, managed accommodation, is on different level of quality. Everything ooze of quality, the environment, the finishing, the accommodation and the pool. Perfect spot for a retreat from hustle and bustle of Freetown. Staff were very helpful, which is pleasant. All units painted white, with manicured lawn, very pleasing to look at. Access is well secured and residence is only accessible to guests with room key. And great view from the rooftop restaurant. Meal is top notch too… what more can you ask for… The living and bed room is so well furnished with almost minimalist finishing but so well equipped (washing machine eat al) that one can’t help but be impressed. Few gripes though… For starters, they advertised a private beach 🏝️ but you can only view the beach via a locked gate… it’s uncompleted and there’s no access… this is not obvious from the advert, it’s actually one of my main attraction for considering The Lead, but this never was. Inside. The microwave oven and the boiler kettle in the room were placed where there’s no plug 🔌 point, to use them, they have to be physically moved… this certainly needs attention, also the hand wash dispenser by the sink was empty and there’s no replacement in sight. I can forgive all the above for the amazing environment and care and attention given to the whole place.

Astonishing hotel. No matter where you could be in the world if you were staying in this hotel for the room rate being charged you’d be happy. In Freetown it’s by a considerable distance the nicest hotel we saw. Really lovely pool area, excellent room service for lunch and dinner and great apartment rooms. We loved it, would go back and definitely recommend. Breakfast needs improving but given how good everything else is and fact hotel is still being finished in parts I am sure it will be (it’s not “unfinished” they are just adding more great stuff like a rooftop bar/ restaurant).

Absolutely stunning hotel, beautiful architecture and gardens. So nice to be surrounded by nature in this little beautiful oasis. Flower 🌸 🦎 💜 Only suggestion is to make real crepes with real ingredients rather than that American boxed pancake mixture. 🙏🏼

This is an amazing spot to stay in if you are in Sierra Leone, actually, the only spot to pick when arranging your travel plans. The staff are so friendly and helpful, super clean and you feel at home when staying there. i would strongly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

You will not find better accommodations and the food was limited but excellent. The chef even accommodated my vegan diet personally. You won't find better staff from cleaning to security to management. The only issue I had was with their sea coach arrangement. Make your own arrangements with sea bird

The Lead Hotel can arguably be considered as the best in the city right now, even though they’re new. The facilities is the best you can get, their service is excellent and the manager cares. My personal favorite was the pool, it’s definitely a good fit for a family. Will definitely go again. #theleadhotel
