First night/first room the drain in the shower was clogged. The bathroom flooded within 3 minutes and into the bedroom. Sheets were not clean. Second night different room with ants. Hope your luggage is not heavy because there is only the elevator services one side of the hotel. The rooms on the left side can only be reached via stairs all the way to the third floor. The food was cold and it takes a very long time to receive your order. After 45 mins for a basic sandwich and fries. It arrive with fries that were soggy and cold. I sent them back, and politely asked for fresh ones. The waiter came back two minutes later with same fries. How do I know you ask? They were on my same plate I sent them back on. This time they were extra greasy. They had dipped them back in the hot oil. It took 1 hour to get fresh fries. Time to pay. She attempted to overcharge me for a drink that was listed for one price on all three menus. She said it was because they ran out of the small single serve spirit bottles and she had to pour it from the bar. Was I ever told this no. She also charged me for a side of fries. The manager finally came and made it right. Last but surely not lease. The NOISE OMG THE NOISE. It does not matter what day it is the noise outside is horrendous. The live band playing until 2am on a Saturday also awful. I have to come back to Freetown. I will stay at the lead or Pearl.

pro -great pick up service to the hotel and back to the airport -staff acted very professional -gym was GREAT, big and well equipped (but no squat rack) -comfy beds, rooms are not that big but ok. room sizes of the same category can differ a lot. one had a much bigger bathroom -in general it was clean -staff in front of the lobby was very helpful e.g. when i needed keke transport -secure -restaurant was great -aircon worked well con -it’s better to pay the room cash in usd or online. when you try to pay at the reception, they give you a horrible exchange rate that was 80 dollar more expensive than paying online with card in usd. -i stayed in two rooms and both had an ant problem. eventually i got bug spray and could solve the problem -the first room had water leaking from ceiling and was a bit noisy the cleaning staff made many mistakes: -i had dirty pillow sheets and the pillows were on the floor. instead of changing the sheets, they just put the dirty pillows back on the bed -i used the cups in the room to eat cereal. after they cleaned the room, the staff just flushed them and put them back, but there were still pieces of food inside - disgusting. this made me question whether the cup i used was properly cleaned after it was used by the previous guest. -one morning they took the second towel and only left one -one morning they kept ringing the bell even though i put the ‚dont disturb’ sign and was in bed internet speed not always reliable, sometimes it was impossible to get work done for european standard would be maybe a 3 out of 5. but overall this is probably one of the best options for hotel in the area and i would stay here again

Duration: 1 week stay. The Pros: Clean facility with attentive staff. The Cons: After breakfast and lunch on 2 separate occasions I was sick with stomach issues approximately 30 minutes of consuming the food. After discussing with co-workers, they informed they have also had numerous issues with getting sick from the food. The hotel denied it could be from the food and didnt seem it was there problem. Another situation occured when my coworker ordered a cheese burger and it was raw in the center. Finally after several episodes they informed they lost there cook and hired a new one. The next issue is failure to follow negotiated rates and charges. I was charged for laundry which was supposed to be included in the rate. Unfortunately, the shuttle for the ferry was already at the hotel so I didn't have time to fight the charge and subsequently paid it. Overall: There are several hotel options in Freetown and I would advise trying another place that has adequate cooking staff or supervisor of cooking staff to ensure hotel guests do not get sick from the food. They should also understand that customer relationships and agreements are important and should be adhered to. Hopefully they are able to overcome there shortcomings as it has a real potential and friendly staff.

I was lodging at the Bintumani Hotel, which is located next door up the hill from The Suites Hotel. We were not happy with the food at Bintumani, so a couple of us tried the food at the Home Suites Hotel's restaurant. Ohh what a relief, the ambience of the Hotel, restaurant etc alone was a relief. The food was very nice and we were spoilt many food and grill choices. 👍🏾

This is my home away from home when I am in Sierra Leone. You need something, they will find a way to accommodate.

Good location, they organise transfer from Sea Coach. Not sure why they like serving sandwiches for breakfast, but their in-house menu is okay. We enjoyed having dinners there. It was a very pleasant stay. Will return.

I recently stayed at that Hotel for a weekend getaway, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome and at home right away. The room itself was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, with all the amenities I needed to feel comfortable and relaxed. The bed was especially comfortable, with soft linens and plenty of pillows to ensure a good night's sleep. One of the things I loved most about the ABC Hotel was its location. It's situated in a great part of town, with plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance. I also appreciated the hotel's proximity to some of the city's best attractions, including museums, parks, and historic landmarks. Throughout my stay, I also had the opportunity to take advantage of the hotel's amenities, including the fitness center and the on-site restaurant. Both were excellent, with top-notch equipment in the fitness center and delicious food and drink options at the restaurant. Overall, I would highly recommend the ABC Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable stay in the city. With its friendly staff, spacious rooms, and great location, it's the perfect choice for travelers of all kinds.

Everything about this hotel is wonderful. Everything from the gym to the pool to the restaurant to the room is clean and excellent. The service is great. The air-conditioning is wonderful. The food is fantastic and if it's your first time in Sierra Leone you might be surprised at the differences. I have lived in Sierra Leone before and I can tell you this is the most Western food you can find in Sierra Leone--so please be understanding! The prices are expensive for SL and yet very reasonable from a Western perspective. My friend and I ate dinner with two entrees, water, and an appetizer for about $52 total. Breakfast buffet was $20 but I'm not a breakfast person and didn't try it. The best part: close proximity to Sea Coach (water taxi) terminal and the shuttle Sea Coach provides. I was 5 minutes early and the shuttle had already come so be sure to be at reception 30 minutes before they say! The manager (maybe owner) called Sea Coach and implored them to return for me. I just can't say enough good things. It's the best $140/night hotel I've ever stayed in!

Hotel itself and restaurant are nice, but A/C system doesn’t work well and +24-25 is the minimum temperature you will get in the room. They’ve tried to change the room, but it was the same. I had to change the hotel.

Home Suites' rooms are quite spacious and well kept. Internet (wifi) is also quite good and fast so even if you are a business traveller, you are guaranteed to run with your business trip purposes smoothly. They have a good range of offering for breakfast and quite delicious, actually better than most other "known high end" locations in Aberdeen. As for the location, Home Suites is located where I would call "a convenient place", not so into the middle of town but again not far from town!

The staff are always friendly and willing to help. The manager is always available to chat to if you need something extra. The breakfast supper and bar facilities are always clean and presentable they supply linen napkins not paper ones shows class. Very impressive and the best hotel in Freetown I will certainly be coming back.

This hotel is a must visit. The rooms are great. The food is even greater and you will love how undisturbed it is by road and city noise yet its right by the roadside

This is definitely one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at in Freetown. We have been traveling to Sierra Leone regularly since 2005 and have tried a bunch of properties. This one is first rate! The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The restaurant is smallish but the food was excellent. The gym is well-equipped. The staff is very friendly and helpful. No complaints and we will definitely be back.
