close friends and family of mine stayed here for a wedding recently. it was a beautiful reception and meant to be a happy weekend celebrating a lovely couple but turned into an incredibly stressful weekend thanks to the owner. even though the campground claims to be “dog friendly” that “friendliness” only extends to certain breeds. my sister and i were called to go pick up our other sisters dog because the owner was giving her an issue for him “barking” when there were ZERO complaints. her dog is well trained and the sweetest boy but despite this the owner was judge mental and rude to the point my sister was in tears and stressed more so than she already was. i was beyond disgusted seeing her so upset simply because the owner had to be hardheaded, disrespectful and vile. he claimed he had no issue with certain breeds but later admitted to another member of the bridal party he didn’t like german shepherds. due to one bad experience this owner has chosen to put aside professionalism in favor of prejudice against a specific breed regardless of how well behaved and loving these dogs may be. i genuinely wish i could rate this place zero stars and i’ve been camping quite a bit at numerous campgrounds and i definitely would NOT recommend this campground even if you payed me.

Very nice campground. The location was a perfect distance from the attractions in Saratoga. It was nice and quiet and dark at night when we went to bed and we felt very safe. The owner Matt was extremely accommodating.

Great new rustic venue for weddings or other gatherings. Absolutely beautiful for year round events. We did not camp but used the giant barn. Check it out.

Nicely maintained campground with oversized sites for RV's. Loved how our site (and what seems to be all sites) back up to nicely wooded area which adds to the privacy aspect of this quiet, and beautifully rustic campground. My wife and I spent 10 days at Rustic Barn Campground and enjoyed every aspect of our stay at the campground as well as the surrounding areas that have boundless things to do and see. The owner, Matt, was very accommodating and easily assessable during our time there. We are looking forward to coming back and hopefully with our grown kids and grandchildren. Kevin C.

Matt's campground is awesome. I can see why people get married here, it's just lovely. Our group of cyclists enjoyed the firepit and the lovely pavilion overlooking the pond. The showers were hot and bathrooms were clean. The tent camping made it feel like we had the place to ourselves. We could hear the stream and the RVs were further up the road, which created a nice, private atmosphere! Thanks Matt!

Attractive little camp ground. Quiet, clean, shaded, and Matt was very pleasant and helpful. Like many private campgrounds, most lots are full season campers. No hot water at 8a on women's side. My only complaint is the price. It was $50 for one night on 8/13/21. A reasonable fee would earn them 5 stars.

This is a real gem of a campground that is quiet, clean and well run by owner Matt. Everything a camper needs, large sites, picnic tables and fire rings, plenty of fresh clean water, well maintained portapottys, a shower building, a pond, field and other amenities. We enjoyed our stay and will visit again next time we are in the area. A great value and a really well run campground.

This campground was great. We went up for the Saratoga Springs races. Matt was very helpful and kind. Place was small, cozy, peaceful, quiet, and wooded. There is a nice bath house within very close walking distance to tents and RV sites that has nice new showers for the women at least. Hot water felt great. They have running water through a spigot at every tent site which was very convenient and made cleaning up easier. Place was clean and well kept. We enjoyed our two night stay and would definitely go back for future stays.

We didn't use the event space, only stayed there with our camper. Great location to get to all the things Saratoga Springs has to offer. Due to staying there in the fall, the small lake/pond with a sandy beach area looked well maintained, but I didn't use it. It had 2 modest cabins that you could rent and looked nice from the outside. The sites were dirt and pretty level. On a block to get use perfect. The full hookup utilities were all well maintained good working order ( sewer was good height and location, water had great pressure and clean, the power had constant power at correct amperage with a new box). Our site and most sites had a lot of space . Our site was very wide; fit camper and two vehicles all side by side, with room to have campfire and picnic table (included) towards the back of the site. The table was new and sturdy. There is plenty of space between sites. The roads are gravel and well maintained. It has a very modest playground area that could use a little TLC. We were not here for that amenity. It is a smal camp ground, has I think 20 sites, but a great location to go get to what Saratoga Springs has to offer. I would say a 3rd of the sites appear to be seasonal. What lost them from getting a 5 star eating was the restroom/bathhouse. We didn't use them, well you couldn't use the showers as it was full of construction rubble, and the toilets and sinks could use a lot of TLC as well. Likely stay again if I'm looking to sneak away to Saratoga Spring and not have to spend higher cost for accommodation in town.

Overall a very nice campground. It’s small and very quiet in relation to any other campgrounds we’ve stayed at. Great proximity to Saratoga and Lake George.

Wonderful time! Beautiful campground. Matt the owner was very accommodating, we had a youth group from church and Matt was kind enough to provide a large campsite, kayaks, and life preservers. One of our students even caught (and released) small and large mouthed bass. Price was excellent as well. Thank you! Will go back in the future.

Absolutely loved it here lots of seasonal campers but everyone is super nice. We ended up extending our stay twice and they were so accommodating. The barn and pond are absolutely gorgeous and a very relaxing and quiet environment. Also, one of the cheapest places we have found in the area. Definitely will be returning

Such a lovely and relaxing stay. Matt (owner) was very friendly. Such great amenities (perfect size pond to swim & kayak— water was pretty clear, & the perfect temperature., has fire pit for bonfires, trail, etc). Slept in the loft— space was great and comfy. Already planning our next visit. Thanks again!!

A little out of town but a worthwhile trip. Excellent place for a wedding or family reunion.
