A lovely place to spend a full day or just a couple hours checking out the area with bridges in stone towers. The hike is pretty mild. There are plenty of refreshments, and a place for restrooms. The view of the river alba is absolutely beautiful. The stone cliffs make for an awesome loaction for breathtaking pictures. The hills surrounding are green, with great valley views.

This park is a beloved destination for fans of hiking and rock climbing, due to the impressive rock formations that rise up from the Elbe valley. Free-climbing is said to have originated in this very region, which is full of castles and churches as well as a magnificent open-air theatre, making this park a cultural as well as sporting destination.

The place is literally amazing, the views are perfect and stunning. It is very interesting to hike here, since you can find roads in the wild forest far from civilization and close to the nature. The summits are not high and they are quite easy to climb. For some rocks special equipment is needed. You can visit it either from the German part or from the Czech republic part. I highly recommend going there, you can find quite cheap accomodation in case you have a car. It had not so much visitors we we were there.

One of the few places in Europe that really makes it possible to climb onto huge sandstone rocks. Beyond that it offers widespread landscapes for the eye that all make you feel like you are in a beautiful painting, bird sounds included. Some areas also allow you to discover the rich history of the area and other spots have challenging climbing areas.

Absolutely gorgeous spot in the nature. The park is full of different hiking and climbing routes. There is an old fancy tram and some busses that can take you up and down the mountains for about 5-6€. You can find some small restaurants up there (a bit pricey). There are a few spots with an as tonight view. A super old stone bridge that used to link to villages and some more interesting spots to check like the Iron stairs in in between the rocks. Absolutely recommended.

Stunning park 😃 we went on a day trip with a guide (check out cayman tours) that took us from dresden to the german part of the park and after to the Czech Republic part. Both were beautiful. The Czech Republic part required a little hiking but most can manage and the view on top is worth the effort.

One of the amazing place for trekk and everywhere the view is awesome , people tend to get lost in the route so before going please make sure you know the route u want to folow. We followed a rout from komoot and it was amazing

Very large and beautiful place, a harsh contrast to the flats of neighbouring Brandenburg/Berlin. Popular tourist destination for Berliners but also (Eastern) Germans/ Europeans in general. Very lively during the Warm seasons April-October. Mostly friendly people, cute small and pretty villages. I'd advise some caution to People of colours(PoC), but no warning, especially in the off seasons stares are pretty much guaranteed but that should be the extend of it.

Cependant , avec un grand esprit, Northern Hikes Company n'a pas annulé le voyage, le tour a quand même très bien soigné et parfaitement passé. Cela m'a beaucoup touché. Un esprit très convaincant pour moi d'aimer le peuple et le pays de Tchèque. Merci à Pavla et à ses collègues de m'avoir aidé à vivre une expérience aussi merveilleuse lors de ce voyage. The Schrammsteine are a beautiful vista that I can highly recommend. The hike was not too hard but I would suggest not bringing kids as it can be slippery and dangerous at some parts, especially at the main vista point of interest. Beware of ticks!

Awesome area for extended hikes and day hikes. Multiple options to spend the night or possible to just camp outside (in certain areas). As picturesque as the postcards indicate. The trails are well indicated so it is difficult to get lost. If course the major routes can be quite busy but with a little bit of looking around it's easy to find secluded spots.
