Occasion: I was at this place with my wife last year in september and we were on our honeymoon through the beautiful area of austria. Service: very handsome, there was a super friendly swiss lady as well Location: amazing castle in the middle of the town Food: high class food - dont expect schnitzel Wine: very good variaty Bar: lovely Children: not appropriate Room: very cozy, little, clean in the top of the castle (didnt take pictures unfortunately) Parking: will be done by the concierge SPA: small but ok Price: high but worth it Guests: classy Conclusion: enjoy this beautiful place with your better half

Beautiful place high above the city. But you can be in town in 10 minutes. Just a short tree covered walk and a quick elevator ride your in town. The hotel thinks of everything and definitely try the restaurant. It's incredible!

Great hotel with fabulous service. The Michelin star restaurant has great food and fabulous views. The breakfast is sumptuous.

WOW! This hotel is truly one of a kind, the most luxurious and accommodating ever. The grounds are absolutely stunning with gorgeous views of the city. The pool is beyond incredible with full service. The rooms are beautiful, elegant, and spacious. All of the people who work at the hotel are friendly and hospitable. It feels so private and special, yet you are so conveniently located to the city center thanks to the amazing elevator in the museum of modern art! Would highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to return!

I think I must recommend to everyone who wanna travel in salzburg. I have a super good experience in this hotel And precious memorable here with my boyfriend and staff. The staff here is so kindness,helpful,have a service mind espacially Mr.Thomas (breakfast waiter) and more. Food ,bed and facility here is super too Also the view is so gorgeous If I have a chance to comeback again Im gonna stay here again. Love it !

The service was just outstanding. We were greeted outside as so soon as we arrived and our bags brought up to our rooms. We had a complimentary drink while we checked in, and then were given a tour. The spa was fantastic and so relaxing. Every person we spoke with at the hotel was kind and so helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Salzburg! There are also stunning trails behind the hotel that lead to spectacular mountain views.

I walked past this castle on a trip in the mid-90s and saw a plaque stating that it's a hotel. At this moment the seed was planted - I dreamed to return later in life to stay here with my family. I recently had a chance to live that dream when we stayed for a few nights during Festspiel. Every part of the experience, from the booking to the arrival to the room to the facility to the food & drink to the location represented a peak experience. We were charmed by all of it and felt more special than you'd imagine. When you finally realize you deserve something good in your life, spend a few days at Hotel Schloss Mönchstein.

What a magical place! I only wish we could have stayed longer. My husband and I just came back from a short honeymoon in Austria, and this hotel was truly a highlight. Gorgeous setting, top-notch service, beautiful pool/spa area, and they really made us feel special. We had a fantastic panoramic view of Salzburg from our room - I'm sure Salzburg is beautiful at any time of year, but our late October stay was gloriously autumnal and picture-perfect. Thank you so much, this hotel was such a treat!

We absolutely loved our stay here. Yes, it is pricey but if you only get to Europe once every 5 -10 years then splurge on the hotel! The room was amazing, the staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the surrounding grounds are beautiful. We would definitely stay here again

Sophisticated hotel with spa and a michelin starred restaurant Glass Garden. Stunning views of Saltburg.

This place is perfect in every way. We ate dinner in the restaurant after a long trek from the fortress. Landed here just at sunset and had a drink at the bar before deciding to stay for a meal. The staff was very kind and helpful, the food was some of the best we've ever had, and the views were spectacular. Come here to treat yourself if you're ever in Salzburg.

We were there for lunch to celebrate my husbands birthday. 5 star for everything,the way we were welcomed and the view.our food were super great .presentation is great. Taste is the best part. A great place to eat.the hotel is up on a mönchstein mountain so you have the whole view of Salzburg and is so beautiful view.were at the glass garden bar it’s part of the hotel.price is fair enough.i will rate this 6 star.i was there again on lunch date.was still the same.the food were over my expectations.i enjoyed my steak a lot

This hotel felt so private and tailored for me and my wife. It was absolutely astonishing. The room was luxurious, not over the top, but cozy. Staff were super friendly. The walk to the elevator itself is very pleasant and kind of a tour. Breakfast was very delicious and somehow ended up being private. Maybe it was the time of year or hour of the day? Man the homemade jam is awesome! I would come back here in a heartbeat.
