Really great vibe, love the place. Gives you the feeling of eating in the middle of the forest. Top notch ambience. Unfortunately the food can't keep up with the great place. Don't get me ring, the good is not bad, but it's not the best either. It's somewhere between okay and good. Also the variety of served dishes is not that high. Some of the staff could be a bit more service minded and overall friendlier. These are the things preventing a five star rating. As I said, love the vibe of the place.

I love the location. Go do the forest tour and end up here at the beer garden. Magnificent setting amongst the trees and never totally full and chaotic. Playground small but nice. Has a little soccer pitch also there. A must -go if you're in beautiful Freising. Only reason it's not 5 starts is I thought the food was overpriced. But other than that - great place!!!

The plantage is a great family destination, unfortunately the food at the beer garden is not worth writing about and they often run out of basic supplies like pizza dough or bread early in the afternoon.

It is a nice without large crowds as in Munich. Definitively worth a visit (for a pizza as well)
