A lovely relaxed lunch at the Golden Dragon ! The service team lead by Rachit was excellent ! Personal attention to detail and great service ! Food quality and taste was superlative. Though we were only 4 of us dining, we ended up ordering generously and actually polished off everything ! Again, I must say that the entire experience gets enhanced a few notches with great service !

Sorry to say but this is one of the worst Chinese food experiences I've had, and I've eaten in plenty of Chinese restaurants. I thought that being in such a nice hotel, it's almost a shoe-in that it will be a nice restaurant, maybe even great. Oh boy, was I wrong. First clue that things will not go right were the noodles, that looked like thin spaghetti, nothing to do with asian noodles, and were quite bland. Then we ordered the sweet and sour pork and black pepper chicken, both smothered in sauce. I was so dissapointed in the food I had to say something and to the credit of the staff and the chef, he came to explain their meals are adjusted to the local market. So he made us the sweet and sour pork with less sauce. But this time a little spicy. :( anyway, not authentic at all and far, far too expensive for what it is. Sorry!!

I dined purely at Golden Dragon for yum cha / dim sum on a Sunday. It didn’t not disappoint for a solo diner as the dumplings were bite sized however, you’d probably have to double up portions if you went with a larger group. Friendly service and I loved that the steamboats were piping hot .

Delicious food, exquisite service, the cutest thing was I saw a kitten mewing well fed right outside the entrance of Taj Mahal and no one chased it off, like any other hotel would. It was such a pleasant sight. Courtesy the Tata love for animals. Great experience.

We ordered asparagus and corn dumplings which were phenomenal! You can see the chef making them right in front of you, like a magician! The spring rolls were crispy, crunchy, had just the right amount of filling and the sweet chilli sauce was something I could eat a bucket of! The vegetarian fried rice with a non spicy black pepper sauce was the cherry on top :)

Food no doubt it's fantastic. The people serving food should remember they are no one to judge someone's appitite. This person Prakash at golden dragon should do his duty of serving and taking orders rather then saying how much one should order or he doesn't want food to go waste. That's not their concern. We as customers order and ready to pay for service we take. Taj group you r not doing charity so don't tell someone how much one must order. This was on the 15th Feb at 10.40 pm. The person who served later and got the bill Manoj also mentioned this that 1 sweet dish will be enough and 2 will become excess. I think this should be got to the notice of the management and the CEO

It opens on weekends but the food quality and the service was the best ever as the Stad was very friendly and also cooperative. The made a play area for my small baby and was supper friendly and creative of them. Highly recommend

Had a surprise lunch at Golden Dragon Taj. The place amazing. The feeling of finally going to a place which has been a dream for many is out of the world. However, the food which is the main thing we paid for was lackluster. At this place I was expecting to be mindblown but I wasnt. I wasnt even awed. Its tasted very mediocre which I definitely dint expect from this place. There was no effort taken on presentation at all. Very disappointed. I expect a lot thinvs from Taj being a regular. But Disappointed is definitely not one of them.

Great food, we ordered edamame truffle dumplings, Chung fa, crispy lamb which was sweet and you can give it a miss. Water chestnut dumpling which was the hero. Chicken black pepper which was good, burnt garlic fried rice and a chicken in black bean sauce. Overall good quality. Pricy yup but great taste. I paid 10k.

The food, ambience and service of this place has never disappointed me. The cocktails were very well made too

Taj, A brand which oozes class and comfort. I never thought I would be giving a one star. So the story goes like this. It was my friends anniversary dinner where I accompanied them on Saturday 4th march 2023, his whole family was there. Our order was taken by Akshay, Akshay the real problem of the night. He was pretty rude and unprofessional. I was sitting quite just cause I din want to create commotion in front of his parents. We placed a multiple dish order to Akshay, some of the dishes we ordered were Mutton in chilli garlic sauss, sticky rice , 3 pepper chicken , momos and few more things. Akshay got the mains first. My friend politely asked him why din you get the appetisers first. He replied in s rough tone I thought you’ll wanted whatever is made first. On that my friends dad told my friend that don’t order anything more. We will go out somewhere else and eat food. A good food journey starts with the people working there. The hospitality. The way the staff behave. The way the food is presented. The atmosphere the restaurant creates for its guest. I genuinely din care about the food side as I lost my appetite after seeing Akshay’s behaviour. He single-handedly spoilt a special night for someone. That’s what now taj has come to ? That’s how taj staff behave ? The employ defines the brand and sorry to inform you but Akshay has tainted THE TAJ name and brand for me. Just for your information the bill was not some small figure. I was so so so disappointed with this experienced and as soon as it ended I have made it a point to never ever visit and never recommend this place to anyone.

Golden Dragon is the one of the best Chinese restaurants in the world I have a been to, I could even say the best…. To match the delicate, elegant and sensational spread, the hospitality of the team was outstanding. Prakash who was our host knew every intricate detail of the menu and beyond and every recommendation of his was spot on….

The service was quite bad, although we had a booking for 10 PM they have us the table at 10:30 even though they had tables free but those were for larger groups. When confronted the head steward said candidly “ there was a delay I cannot do anything “. Do not expect such service from Taj Hotels . I will not deny the fact that the food is good. But it’s high time ppl at 5 stars start taking younger ppl aged 21-25 more seriously.

Amazing chinese food with chinese desserts

Golden Dragon is the one of the best Chinese restaurants in Mumbai .I love it all vegetarian options, specially crystal dumplings. Amazing service done by Sarfaraz 😊

Excellent evening. Reshma Suresh and her team took care of us. The food and service were excellent! The roast duck and pancake and the chili crab is absolutely amazing!!!! Basically anything you order at this place is amazing!!!! Stop researching - go and try them out; you will love it!!!

Food was really average. We had a variety of dim sum and the spare ribs, nothing was delicious. Considering the very high prices we had a disappointing experience.

Must try Resturant if you love Chinese Food. I had great recommendation from Akshai, best server with best recommendation. Sit facing live cooking station, highly entertaining and meditative. Will miss the crispy duck 👀

Celebrating mom’s 89th birthday. Super golden fried prawns(mom’s all time favorite) , sliced fish and crispy lamb for starters. Main course chicken in oyster sauce and double cooked sliced lamb.Fantastic service from Kiran. Meal for five with alcohol was 23000.

To be honest , I am not sure if i should be judging this restaurant based on just visit... But If I talk about my experience, It failed to meet my expectations. Ambience is Awesome, Service is great but food hmmmm.... not happy. I felt i could get better meal outside in any other restaurant. Really need to improve on food they serve. If you visiting Mumbai or Want to try out then yes of course you can visit.

Superb chinese food. The butter garlic prawns are just too good To end up with the desert of warmed brandy which is warmed in our presence with a flame around the glass and served with fresh strawberries and a scoop of icecream is a must try.The chill of the icecream and the warmth of the brandy going together with fresh seasonal fruit is a must have to end up with

Excellent service but the food is overpriced I found compared to other asian cuisine restaurants. Only items worth the price are the dim sums freshly made to order in front of us.

The food did not match up to our expectation of the place; the portions were very large and quite difficult to finish. The food did not taste very authentic, it all seemed drowned in soy. Personally it felt like I was eating an overpriced Chinese takeaway.
