Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, formerly Victoria Terminus, is a historic railway terminus and UNESCO World Heritage Site in Mumbai. It is one of the Busiest station in Mumbai, It serves both Local trains and Long routes express. Local train platforms are alloted from Platform No. 1 to Platform No. 6 for Central, Harbour and Western line Suburban trains, other remaining platforms are alloted for Long route Express. Thus it contains total 18 platforms for Local Suburban and long route trains. Washroom facility is available, plenty of Food courts, Ticket counters are available for passengers. Subway is connected to the station to avoid road crossing. Taxi stand and City bus stops are also connected to the station. Sitting chairs or sitting arrangements should be available for passengers at this station which is a major missing.

Its construction began in 1878, in a location south of the old Bori Bunder railway station,[6] and was completed in 1887, the year marking 50 years of Queen Victoria's rule.

From CSMT to thane first train was started and this Mark's the start of train services in India. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj terminal is UNESCO heritage site. This building is also the headquarter for Central railway.
