Always a great experience at Hon Ramen! Staff is always great and on point, food is always good and fresh. It’s always clean and the atmosphere is comfortable.

Wonderful place, went to eat after my graduation and they stayed open 20 minutes past closing for us to eat the amazing food and relax. Excellent and attentive service.

Went on a Saturday evening, without reservations, we were greeted and seated immediately. The food was served right after we ordered. Very tasteful and rich! We ordered spicy garlic Edamame as an appetizer, spicy chicken Yaki Udon and spicy tantan men. We highly recommend their Hot Sake 🔥

By far the best ramen I’ve had in town so far! The chashu pork is always super fresh and the chef makes the pork broth proper! I also had the snow crab hand roll but ate it before I could take a picture! Must check this place out. Update: since my last visit I’ve gone to three other restaurants for ramen. Ten gu ramen sushi hanshi and toro sushi. By far hon ramen is the best specially the pork belly and soft eggs. Must try.

Wonderful service! I wish I got the name of the ladies who sat my boyfriend and I at the bar and who served us. Even though it was extremely busy (hence the bar seating, we were okay with not getting a table because we never sat at the bar before), they made sure to keep checking on us, nestled aaaall the way in the corner to see it we needed anything. They went above and beyond. Also, this goes without saying, but the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen was perfect, and my boyfriend’s Spicy Garlic Miso was great. I recommend ordering nori (seaweed) and bamboo shoots on the side!!

It was my first time going there and it was absolutely delicious great service and food! Sure the food took a little while but it’s was definitely worth the wait!!! I definitely recommend this place If you in town!

Literally my new favorite ramen 🍜🤤 restaurant. The Spicy Tonkatsu was sweet, rich, spicy and full of flavor. The noodles had the perfect texture. Definitely not the cheap stuff. The fried cream cheese stuffed jalapenos were so good, we had to order another. I highly recommend this place. I plan on coming back. The best ramen place in Bakersfield in my opinion! 🌶️❤️🍜🔥

I used to love the place with all my heart, they have the best tasting broth but over the years they've downsized their ramen bowls, given few eggs, less choices, smaller and lower quality cuts of meat. It's still one of the best in town, but no longer at the top.

Good atmosphere that serves sushi and ramen of various types. We ordered the Hon Ramen, spicy Garlic Ramen, vegetarian ramen, spicy tuna roll and hidden dragon roll. All the ramen and rolls were very tasty and the presentation of the food was nice. The place has street parking in front and has a sushi bar located in the rear of the serving area with tables for seating in the front. There are also TV's on the wall on both sides showing various sporting events. We had NFL on one side and march madness on the other. The broth of the ramen was very flavorful and the soft boiled egg was very tasty. Prices are reasonable, 12-16 bucks for the ramen and 8-16 bucks for the rolls. You can expect a bit of a wait time to be seated as it is not that large of a place. We had a medium sized group which took a little longer for a table to be prepared. Not necessarily kid friendly as they don't have a kids menu available, we just got our son a bowl of rice and shared some ramen with him. Overall, I would go again.

This was the first time I’ve ever had ramen and it was amazing and the portion was incredible, I would 100% go back and the lady who helped me was so sweet and nice explaining what everything was and her recommendations for anyone wondering I got the spicy chicken ramen

The food is really delicious, the Spicy Chicken Ramen is the best I have tasted by far from any Ramen place, I come here every other week.

Hon Ramen is, hands-down, my favorite ramen place in Bakersfield. My go-to comfort foods are the spicy tonkatsu, spicy tantanmen ramen, and sukiyaki bowl. I love how they offer Japanese and Korean items in their menu so I get to add gyoza, takoyaki, karaage, and kimchi to my meal. It’s a plus, too, that Hon has a pretty neat bar and beverage list. A bottle of Asahi always goes well with spicy ramen! Besides the food and drinks, there are more to Hon that deserve to be shared. I always feel well taken care of by their servers even when I come in peak hours. I may come here less often since I closed my downtown office, but I make sure to swing by or order from Uber Eats whenever I can.

It is a wonderful restaurant with amazing wait staff. I had the spicy chicken ramen and edamame. The waitress helped me remember how to use chopsticks. The food is delicious. Consistently, delicious food.
