Richard's Prime Rib & Seafood is a classic steakhouse in Fresno that has been serving up delicious food and great service for over 50 years. The restaurant is located in a casual setting, but the food is anything but. The prime rib is the star of the show, and it is cooked to perfection every time. The steaks are also excellent, and the seafood is fresh and flavorful. The restaurant also has a full bar, with a great selection of wines and cocktails. The service at Richard's Prime Rib is top-notch. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they are always happy to help you choose the perfect meal. The restaurant is also family-friendly, and there is a children's menu available. Overall, Richard's Prime Rib is a great option for a special occasion or a casual meal. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is comfortable. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great steakhouse in Fresno

Richard's Prime Rib & Seafood is a long time staple in Fresno , CA. The food here is absolutely delicious 😋 . The presentation is beautifully done. You can always tell how good your food will be when you order a salad ; the greens and vegetables are fresh and crisp 👌 Richard's did not disappoint on it's food whatsoever. Personally , I do not like to write anything negative about any establishment , however, the waitress we encountered was very rude. We did not remember her name < she was an older woman , with short blonde hair >Her attitude towards me personally went from bad to worse throughout our meal. Never in any review, have I had to complain about ANY staff member ever ! 😕 Needless to say, we did not tip her! < our bill was close to $200 , and we usually tip at 20% > This woman's attitude should not get in the way of anyone going to this establishment however, because the ambience and food are well worth it.

First of all, let me say Richard's is a Fresno staple. I first started going here over 35 years ago when Richard was making his customers feel very welcomed, and he was pleased to see you every time with a big smile on his face. It has not changed. The third generation is now running Richard's steakhouse and seafood. The setting is very intimate. The service is great. The food is delicious and plenty of it. The dinner started out with a hot basket of garlic bread and a shrimp cocktail. Then the salad came out, which was fresh and chilled. The 14oz prime rib was done to perfection served with baked potato and green beans. The 8oz bacon wrapped filet mignon was also done to perfection. Then, for dessert, we had a chocolate bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. I can not believe Richard's still has this high quality of dining and service after all these years. Richard's TOP NOTCH!!!! Thank you for making our 33-year anniversary so special .

It was our first time in, the steak and prime rib were delicious, the sides were just that, nothing to rave about. Our waitress was not that great. Asked what we wanted to drink, we hesitated and she just walked off, she was more interested in talking with the regulars than attending to us. She spent about 15 minutes with the couple that was sitting in front of our booth, pretty sure that's why my food wasn't piping hot when we got it. Definitely will not be getting service from her next time we go, if we go again.

I've been coming here for years. Our last visit off the charts was horrible. Food was average at best. For $350, I expect service to be top-notch. Waited on drinks, I had to go to the bar and serve ourselves. Food was not what I expected. I've had better food at Texas Roadhouse. By the end of our dinner, a man from the next table came over and started yelling at us. For $350, I expect someone to ask the man to leave. The man also followed me into the parking lot, yelling obscenities. Not one person working there asked the man to leave. The man stated that our table was too loud. If our table was too loud, someone who worked at Richards should have come to our table and asked us to quiet down. When I go to a restaurant, I expect to be safe. That was not the case. No one offered us any kind of severance for experience. I will never return. I am encouraging anyone who reads us not to come here. You're not safe, and staff will not make sure that you are safe, Food is average and overpriced.

I wish I would have come here a long time ago. Excellent service, great atmosphere and one of the best steaks I've had. Highly recommend!

The food was DELICIOUS here, they season their meats generously, BUT the reason why they get a 2 from me is because a lot of things went wrong. First, our reservation was for 830pm, they seated us, got our drinks by 845 and we placed our order. We didn't get our food until 950. Then, they forgot our appetizers, so we had to wait for them to make them cause they never got made. While eating their famous green beans, its just canned greenbeans with tomato, didnt taste that bad, but I was expecting fresh beans from this 4.5 star place. I had asked for well done steak, got it medium, not medium well, medium, sorry I'm weak I can't handle blood on my steak, so they took it back to correct it. Lastly when I got my bill, they over charged my plate by $10. Waitress says its cause they are adjusting the prices, I dont blame her at all she was really nice, but if the menu says $58.95 for a plate, thats what I should be paying. The food is really good though not gonna lie, just left a bad first impression for me, and I had really looked forward to eating there too. =/

Inside is beautiful very romantic looking in the bar. The drinks were very good. The food…… the bread is just the same you buy at the grocery store for under 2 bucks nothing special. The steak had no flavor and it was a very thin piece of meat. Lobster was good little over cooked(the only thing from my dinner I really liked). The prime rib nachos not the same at all from before. Now for prices. Drinks reasonable for to the amount of liquor that’s in them(not complaining about that). I ordered the steak and lobster for “market price”. I got the rib eye. Now obviously their market price is triple market price because lobster right now is $34 a pound and rib eye is $14.99 a pound. I had a salad baked potato (small potato) and sliced zucchini. My dinner alone was $126 (just the steak and lobster dinner). I will no longer go there. What a rip-off. The place sounded like a sports bar. Definitely not the same Richard’s. I can get that same meal with flavor and a bigger steak at cattleman's for half the price. Don’t waste your time take the drive to Selma if you are wanting a steak and lobster dinner.

This place never disappoints. Food is great drinks are stiff. Portions are generous. The owner greets you when you walk in and seats you. He constantly paces and scans every table making sure everything is perfect. The security guard outside actually walks around looking down rows and in between pickups. I'd recommend the hungry man prime rib with a old fashioned.

This place is GREAT! I am so tired of going to "okay" restaurants (food and service) in North West and North East Fresno/Clovis and paying crazy prices! We ventured to Richards and it is legit! Great bar, off the charts service and great food. For a Foursome we had, appetizers, entrees. wine, desserts and food to take home for $200!! When's the last time you did that? Area is a little rough however, they have outdoor employees watching cars/parking lot, not an issue. If your sick of okay food and service for $$$$ and want to remember what good dining SHOULD look like go check this place out...We will be back!!!

I have seen this restaurant for what seems like my entire life here in Fresno. I am now 56 years old and tonight was my first time here. To celebrate our 3 year wedding anniversary. I see it from the freeway everyday. I cannot believe I've never eaten here. I was pleasantly surprised. Food is amazing, service is superb, prices fair, portions just right, super clean, updated decor. Don't let the location deter you from one of Fresno's gems. Forget all these new fancy dining spots that pop up all over Fresno and then vanish. There's a reason Richard's has been around for so long. A+ meal experience. I can't wait to dine here again.

Amazing! Thank you so much for such a great dinner! My husband made reservations, and right when we walked in it was like they were ready for us. We instantly got our table, and service was so friendly and quick. Food was delicious. We were so impressed. Can't wait to come back.

Excellent steak, sea food and drink, the expense is well worth the cullenary experience. The location may seem a little out of place but once you come in the door the ambiance and motif will welcome you.

First time eating here. Service was good, food was way over priced for what you get. Atmosphere was dark and dated. Smaller dining area was a bit loud. Overall, not the best I've had locally and was a bit more expensive. There are too many better places to get a quality steak so I most likely will not return.

The service is excellent. I forgot my leather jacket there and it just so happen to be during Thanksgiving and they were closed. I called and left a message and when they opened back up they called me and reassured me it was there. Thank you

Not worth the price. Not the first time going but maybe my last. The atmosphere was terrible( couldn't hear myself/ partner speak, we realized we were almost yelling), I saw the bus-boy/girl more then my waitress. We had to wait for our table despite the reservation. The potatoes were obviously bagged and horrible, the new york was dry despite it being med‐rare. The table ware and dishes clearly spoke to a aging place trying to stay afloat. Now all of that is fine for a Dennys at $15-20 dollars a plate but for $50+ a plate no thank you.

Birthday party with a group of twelve for dinner last night. We were seated on time, cocktail service and appetizers were delivered promptly. Service was friendly and efficient. Dinner was amazing! My first time dining at this classic landmark and I will definitely be back!

We were having our dinner night and I took my wife here. The whole experience is AMAZING. The place is nice, the staffs were very accommodating and the foods were great! My absolutely favorite was the steak. It was so tasty and juicyyy. I love it no kidding! My wife loved the oyster. She keeps on asking for more. Definitely would come back here!

This place is the real deal. I need to go here more often because the experience is always satisfying. On my last visit I sat at the bar since I was solo and engaged with a couple who were regulars. Between the new friends and food, I have no complaints. Bartendar made a mean Old Fashioned too.

My first experience at Richards was my 16th birthday my mom and grandma took me here it was an awesome time. I am now turning 50 and spending my birthday here. Richards is an icon in Fresno dining and through out the years has been a special place for myself and my family.

Loved the old school vibe of this place and the food and service were both excellent! My prime rib was very nice, my wife loved her lobster and that potato skins appetizer was out of sight! The garlic sourdough is a nice touch to complementary bread👍 They go the extra mile. All in all I can’t wait to return for an amazing dinner experience.

Absolutely love Richard’s !! Great atmosphere, food and cocktails from an old school bar was a nice touch. The owner Ben has kept the tradition going. Be sure say hi to Ben when you go, such an awesome guy that assures your visit is nothing less than outstanding.

We had been wanting to go here for 2 years following others' recommendations but just never ended up on that side of town until yesterday. Was it worth the wait? You bet. Loved the ambiance, darkly lit, but welcoming, like a traditional steak house should be. Service was fast and friendly. Ordered the rib eye medium rare with cottage potatoes and split pea soup to start x 2 - everything came out perfect and for the price of $69 for two (soft drinks only) it was great value. Also, the cottage potatoes were a nice change to the standard offerings elsewhere, super crispy on the outside but fluffy and soft on the inside. Was there anything that they could have done better? Maybe just a touch more seasoning on the steak and sides would have been perfection, but then that's a personal taste quibble. We will make the effort to go monthly now. It was that good.

Richard's has been a Fresno icon for decades. If you're looking for a great steakhouse with a fully stocked bar and classic 70s steakhouse ambience, you will like Richard's. The interior was remodeled a few years ago and it really freshened the place up. The neighborhood is a bit sketch, but they do provide security outside at nighttime. One of my top 5 steakhouses in Fresno, and number one for prime rib.

A 1970s-80s throwback steakhouse in the best possible sense. Dark, no windows, tasteful naked paintings of women on the walls. Delicious prime rib and service was ultra friendly and attentive. Highly recommend frequenting Richards regularly. TIP: Go with someone and order the $69.99 dinner for 2. It comes with wine, soup, salad and a shrimp cocktail.

5/5 Food and service was great! They also have security that watches over the parking lot. The security guard even opened the door for us upon entering the restaurant. As we entered, we were greeted by several people letting us know they’ll be right with us, everyone was working their tail off. We didn’t even wait a minute before someone came and took us to our table. The gentleman was super nice. Food was AMAZING! Waiters/waitresses were on top of it! As well as the bussers/hostess and security guards. This is easily one of our favorite places to eat in Fresno!

Hadn't been here since the late '80s, it is very old school, brilliant comfort food! I ordered a medium rare prime rib with green beans and pilaf, they also make great Manhattans and lemon drops. Very pleased. We will definitely be going back more often!

We really liked it. A properly cooked meal is worth the wait. The meat was fantastic, the service was top notch. Not to mention we brought our rambunctious four year old daughter and she was well accommodated and not lost in the ambiance. She could be a child within reason as well as enjoy their food. The bar is gorgeous and we loved the wine cellar theme to the dining area. Can’t wait to go back and take others. Highly recommend.
