Imagine airport food, but worse. Honestly I can’t think of a worse meal I’ve had in an airport. The food was greasy and not what we ordered. In addition, any healthy options they had they were out of. The woman who checked us out was friendly, but the person training her was miserable. This is a trap because it’s literally the only place to eat in this airport. But if I’d known I was going to pay $40 for me and my son to eat a disgusting breakfast, I would have opted for a bag of chips. I ordered the breakfast burrito, he ordered the avocado sandwich.

Breakfast sandwich is not even really edible. Took a few bites and threw it out. Really thick, dry bun and the bacon was chewy and one piece was miscolored like it was probably rotten. Basically I paid 15$ for tots because that's all I could eat.

This is the only sit down restaurant within the secure area. It apparently was named John Muir Tavern in the past, but changed to Tap & Pour in fall 2023. At 9:30am on a Friday in early November, there was plenty of seating. Note that even though you’re handed a comprehensive food menu and drink list, breakfast food is all that is served before 10. Not a huge menu, especially if you have dietary requirements. I went with the toasted breakfast brioche. It was actually better than expected, with a fresh enriched bun, egg (I asked for scrambled), bacon, and cheese. Tater tots were on the side. The meal was supposed to come with salsa, but it was left off, and I wouldn't have used it anyway, so no problem there. My order came out in a plastic to-go container because the dishwasher was being repaired at the time. It was a proper carb load to help me get through the first log leg in a day of flights. The overall service was good, with the food out in about 10 minutes. The check was fast, too. That attention is much appreciated in an airport before a flight!

Pros? For one, I believe it’s the only sit down “restaurant” option in the entire FAT airport, so I suppose they definitely have that going for them. And there is a bar area where they serve beer, wine and mixed drinks if that’s what you’re in the mood for, although I can’t attest to the quality because I didn’t actually try one myself. Also, the young woman, Vellshay, who was working the resister during the lunch rush today (Monday) was an absolute delight, which was such a pleasant surprise in a world today where most people do not bother to take enough time to show even a basic level of human decency anymore. I even personally thanked her for being so polite and mentioned how rarely I see that anymore, and she told me she just tries her best to treat people the way that she would want to be treated herself. So well done, Vellshay! You keep doing you, cause it looks good on ya! And management, if you read this review, you’ve got a gem in her. As for the cons? They have a very limited menu, which is somewhat to be expected during Covid, especially for an airport “restaurant” (insert air quotes here). But it is also EXTREMELY pricey for what you actually get, even taking into account the normal airport $$ markup. I ordered the Boneless Buffalo Bites, and what I received looked strangely similar to the frozen chicken nuggets my mom used to dump out on a baking tray and pop into the oven when my sister and I were hungry for a snack after school. Except they tasted much better when I was 10. Although I will say that they were very generous when I asked for extra buffalo sauce on the side (yes, this Southern girl likes it spicy!), and they also didn’t try to nickel and dime me for it either, so I’ll allot them a few extra points for that. Overall, I’d say the subpar food quality and high prices grant them a 2 out of 5 in my opinion. However, the unexpected, yet much appreciated, courtesy and kindness from their staff (I’m talking specifically about you, Vellshay) bumps them up an additional star, rounding them out to a solid 3 star experience.

Continue your intermittent fasting and eat elsewhere. I got fish nuggets for fish and chip. Worst airport rip off food. The manager did what he could. The server was O.K. Apparently, there is a change of ownership

They charged me an extra $1 without my permission or without letting me know about their practice. My total was $16.24 and I could not reconcile my bank account because of that dollar. My food was take out, and I gave them $1 bill as "tip" or just a thank you for take out service which is not mandatory, just a gracious give. So glad they did not extra charge me more than this. Was not a pleasure to spend extra time to find this unexpected charge when reconciling. Was not a pleasure to discover their practice. But this is Fresno, I guess. Will not go to this place again when traveling.

Nice place to stop for a quick bite in fresno airport. Typical food. Nothing bad about it other than usual inflated airport prices. Breakfast was $20. Omelet, tater tots, toast, and $4 for a cup of hot water and a lipton teabag. Service was great. They sell wine, beer, to go food, and hot food to eat in.

When I arrived most people were sitting at the bar, which must be the only good thing here. I ordered two things here: 1. the steakhouse burger (or whatever the "premium" one was) 2. Wings with the korean sauce. When asking for drinks, it felt like they were out of a lot of things. Even the lady next to me was asking for wine and out of the whole page of wines they had two. I got water. The wings were fine. They got soggy eventually, but the sauce was actually pretty tasty. The burger was kind of problematic. First it had 0 flavor. It had cooked onions, I think it was missing the sauce it comes with, but had 0 flavor, and when I opened it to put at least ketchup on it (which didnt help) it was apparent that this burger was a frozen puck before. For $21.50 I would have expected more. I upgraded to tots, but they apparently were out, and I got a sad pile of fries. The service was also lacking. For starters, I was never told they were out of tots. I would have just done the included chips, and not paid for fries that looked like they were undercooked. Second, my food was sitting there a while. Where i was sitting I could see into the kitchen and I saw the plates up there that I thought were mine, and confirmed about 9 minutes later when they came out. The atmosphere gets a two simply as the organization of the place its hard to tell where the self-service tables are, and where the full service tables are. Unfortunately unless you want a muffin from Peets, this seems to be the only place to get something to eat here at the Fresno airport. As others have stated, better off eating before you get here, or pack a sandwich. Don't waste your money.

I've been working 12 hour days all week traveling and after not eating all day decided to try this place (is the only one). I tried the BBQ Steakhouse burger, it had ZERO flavor, the onions were half grilled and the tots were probably twice deep fried. I'll just go hungry next time.

Changed the name probably? But should be honest about the time they’re open till. Their kitchen closes at 8pm. After that, good luck finding anything decent to eat.

Worst service ever and pretty much required to tip even though no one deserves it. They completely ignored us. My kids were hungry and flight delayed. Even after I went up and asked for a menu...waited....they served other new people. Then they yelled at me for switching seats to charge my phone. Finally I had to ask if they served children or were ignoring us on purpose to which the server questioned why I would even ask that question!!!!! We had three different servers all together, several charges and tips later and still didn't get all we ordered. The place should be renamed to "Tip.........and Nothing"

Let's start with a compliment as my concern should not diminish the quality of service provided. Jessica was most delightful. The food, unfortunately, was anything but delightful. The chicken strips were super dry and the breading hard as a rock. I don't trust returning food to a kitchen not knowing if someone would retaliate. Hence, I did my best to eat something before getting on a long flight. With all the bad reviews I'm seeing now I'm surprised an airport management that prides itself as a quality organization keeps such horrible business around. The food is overpriced for this low quality. Most fast food places serve higher quality food. The selection was equally poor. This airport needs competition in the dining area. I will remember for my next flight not to eat at the airport again. Very disappointing.

My food was fantastic and very tasty, but my girlfriend didn't like her's. Will definitely dine at the restaurant again

Flight was delayed so decided to have a house burger at the Tavern! Really good decision indeed.

Wait staff was nice and tried to alleviate our concerns. They did not cook, nor are they responsible for the terrible payment system here. First of all, there is a QR code on the table that encourages you to scan, look at the menu, make selections and pay. Do not use this. Even though it was refunded, it never should have happened. This is not good credit card hygiene and reflects poorly on the young lady who served us. Second, we ordered fish and chips. It was obvious from the taste of the fish and the consistency and taste of the fries that they have not changed the deep fryer grease in much longer than is acceptable. Given those two limitations, I'm sure this is a fine place... The young lady who served us was very nice and offered to replace the meal. The taste it left in our mouth, both physical and literal was too much to overcome so we declined.

This place is terrible. Don't eat before a flight, after is safer if you have to. There is a killer greek spot right down the road if one has time but if not it's this or Starbucks. They serve "The Classic". Scrambled eggs from a bag, under cooked tots, kinda toast, and seem to never serve anything but that. Come on Fresno, got a gold mine sitting here and selling tired soggy eggs nobody wants to eat.

If you don't have 90 minutes, don't chance it. Had a bit over an hour before my flight. Online ordering is really lame. No one could get it to work. Finally, ordered in person, and i guess eggs and bacon, no toast, is complicated for their kitchen. After waiting 25 minutes, the waitress came by and said it was only a few more minutes. Meanwhile, others got their food before me who ordered after me. I cancelled and said how much for the coffee and she says, don't worry about it. Gee, thanks. Didn't shoot the messenger but still....

The only bar and restaurant in the airport once you get through TSA. They have a small menu with breakfast lunch and dinner options. They carry local brewery Tioga beers on draft. My favorite is the Sherman IPA. The bar is so close to the gates, super easy and convenient. Also if you don’t want to wait the long Starbucks line, you can grab some coffee here. Service is ok and some of the servers are very nice and friendly.

Stomach bad after fish tacos. They tasted good but my stomach is rumbling as I'm waiting to board. Ugh

Thee only options once you pass security are this, Starbucks (closes at 5pm), and Hudson News. Super not worth the prices, even considering its in an airport. At least with Starbucks food you know exactly what you're getting.

Airport restaurant. Solid job with food and a decent bar. Plenty of space and very good staff. Open late for late night flights

Don’t sit at the end table off wall seems like you get no attention or service available for sitting there … but any customer that sits across from those tables get more attention… or maybe it was the gear I was wearing 🤷🏽‍♂️. Who knows but server should service everyone equally…..
