👍👍 Heard about poppies through a friend, and stopped in for the all-day happy hour on Sunday. We rode our bikes across town 9 miles, it wasn't bad at all. The happy hour specials are great, great beer specials micheladas specials spicy Coronas with the shrimp. We tried the wings and the Pollo tacos.... People often mention great, good, salsa, service, chips, delicious,

But we will be back to try the state quesadilla and others! We sat at the bar and still got great service even though they were very busy! Thanks again! 👀💪😎

Tried Papi's and it was pretty good. I went with the surf and turf as it seems to be the most popular menu item. It didn't disappoint. The steak was chargrilled and a little tough but the flavor was good. I asked for extra sour cream and it was pretty good. Visited on a Saturday afternoon and they were pretty busy. They offer outside dining and seem to have a banquet room as well. I saw a lot of tequila so would love to try one of their margaritas. The burrito had steak, rice, beans, sour cream on the side and shrimp inside the burrito. They serve with side lettuce I guess for those that want lettuce. It came with salsa and chips. Salsa was strong. Packed with flavor I added to my burrito and it was okay. Outside of the dry meat it was pretty good. I would order again. Wouldn't rush back but looks like a fun place to dine. It's near Yosemite Ranch and Press Box.

We’ve been coming here semi regularly for a couple years. Always a great option especially for their happy hour. Sunday and Monday happy hour is all day!! Their food is pretty good, I’m a big fan of flavorful Spanish rice and theirs is delicious! Their chips and salsa are really good! I can’t get enough of the spicy mango margarita. Drinks are always delicious. The owner is a very friendly guy. You often see him making rounds around the restaurant talking to people. We will keep coming back for the friendly atmosphere, great food and delicious drinks!

The food is above average, the drinks are good and Papi’s has a good selection of beer. Yesterday 5/20/22 around 1615 my wife and I arrived to a mostly empty restaurant, our plan. Upon arrival we were greeted at the reception area, 2 minute wait while the two girls were discussing there weekend plans. They greet us with courtesy and inform us there is a 5 minute wait. Okay, 90% of the table were empty.?? The two girls continue discussing there weekend plans. After 5 minutes I asked about being seated, I was informed we had to wait 5 more minutes. Guess they were punishing me for asking. After 10 minutes my wife and I were seated. I can only attribute there behavior as “Ageism” me being 3 weeks shy of 65 because other 20-30 something’s were seated promptly. So I guess the bottom line is Papi’s is trying to keep the old out and cater to the young. This is sad but obvious.

Had some street tacos and drinks here. I like their vibe. They have a great variety of alcohol. Their mixed drinks are prime level. The chips and salsa are delicious. Service is fantastic. They offer heaters in outdoor area. I do recommend getting a reservation, Can get busy at times.

Authentic to the max. Delicious food all the way. The simple tortilla and heartwarming salsa is to die for. The staff takes pride in their job and are so inviting and eager to recommend options. Restrooms are immaculate…. Tremendous plus for me. Beautiful artwork through out the establishment. The crowed that frequents also contribute to the great experience. I

Came here for a gathering of about 16 people for our Christmas party and we were all very pleased with the service and accommodations. There is also a banquet room available as well as the patio for group events. The michelada drink was spot on. The mango margarita was delicious and I asked for tajin on the rim. Their menu has traditional Mexican dishes; however, they do an incredible job of incorporating seafood to many of their dishes. For example, we ordered the stuff jalapeño poppers. Never had any with shrimp inside. They were excellent. Second, we ordered enchiladas suizas and again, there was a blend of scallops and shrimp. I’ve only seen and tried shrimp enchiladas at restaurants so this was a treat. The tortillas for the tacos are hand made! I’ve found my new spot for Mexican food!

Updated review: the bottom part is what happened on 9/3/23, so went back to pick up my refund and that female manger that accused me of cursing at her, Her manager came out and he was more polite took me to the side and told me im not banned and i never cussed which what i was accused for, but the menu has changed (which i dont believe i ordered same thing 5 days ago and i got a full order not half like todays) so I wont be going back since I always order Fajita for two and now its for one and its $45 bucks. Too rich for my blood to pay $80 for lunch for two😡 that is ridiculous I will try one more time maybe they didnt see they messed up and if I was wrong I will CHANGE THE REVIEW!! Til that day comes this is how i feel Earlier: The manager is extremely rude, they were so busy they didnt realize they shorted our food and she accused me of cussing at her and im no longer welcome to order there and I did not cuss not my style all I wanted was the remainder of the food and i am not even getting that. Very rude. The servers are much more polite then the manager, Bad enough they raised there prices again and they never update the site I had to pay more get way less I thought with Chevys and my other fav mexican restaurants closed thought i had found a new one but the food is great the service 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 I just ordered a week prior and it was excellent today was terribble What is in pictures below was the Fajita for 2 order, it was less food then before for more 🤷🏻‍♀️

I came here for the first time for my friends bridal shower. The service was great, the staff were very attentive and polite. The food and salsa were yummy. The drinks were very delicious. I recommend a spicy mango margarita with a tajin rim. I will definitely be going back.

We went out for a walk on sauger pine trail and on our way back we stopped for breakfast at Papie's Mex Grill. Nothing like staring with chips and salsa. The salsa took me back to an old restaurant we loved, Fajita Fiesta, just the right amount of hot and spicy, not too hot to stop eating, just the right amount too keep you coming back for more. The stake and eggs were very good. It made the walk worth while.

3.8 out of 5 ⭐' s I am Mexican. I grew up on Mexican food. This particular one has some really authentic dishes but also some that are more americanized... The most authentic dishes: -Quezo fundido (appetizer) -Albondigas soup (entree) -Regular burrito (entree) -Red Salsa (served with chips) Location: The area around here is beautiful and very safe. They have outdoor seating and it's relatively clean. Indoors they have a bar and it looks very inviting. Location works well for a casual date or family dinner. They have heaters outdoors. Service: Excellent. I felt very welcome and cared for.

I was told the tortillas were homemade authentic flour tortillas but unfortunately they were far from being authentic. Food was not a hit for the 5 of us adults that tried it out for the first time. Waitress was very attentive. Won’t be going back there.

This was my first time going to Papi's in Fresno. The service was amazing, everyone greeted us, even the owner came out and spoke to my Brother. He's been going there plenty of times. We had a party of three. I had two beef tacos 🌮🌮 with rice and beans. Wait!!! The Sala and chips were great! That's the start of the evening. I'm not sure if anyone has seen Papi's and thought about going.... I'm telling you now get down there, the food and service is amazing 🤩😍 Thank you for such a beautiful evening, They were very busy BUT gave all of the visitors special attention. Enjoy your dinner
