We stopped here on our way from LA to Yosemite. Do glad we found this gem! We were in for lunch, and our server was also our chef and busboy. He was running the place all on his own that lunch hour, and he did a spectacular job. Everything was delicious. It was actually my parents' first time eating Ethiopian food, and they loved it. We ordered the platter to share between 4 of us and had plenty left over. Would highly recommend this place!!

The food was excellent, the ambient was fun tasteful and clean. The owner engaged us and had a good word for everyone. Make sure you leave yourself enough time. This is not a fast food place. Be prepared to wait a bit for your fresh and tasty food.

Charles was very awesome and friendly, he greeted me with a warm and welcoming smile and asked if I wanted to choose what to eat (vegetarian or meat) or if I wanted him to pick based on my tastes. Everything at Fasika looked delicious, so I chose 2 dishes and Charles picked 2 for me, and wow I couldn't have been happier! The vegetable sample platter is a bargain feast! You get 4 different dishes and a large amount of tangy fermented bread to eat with. I want to return here immediately, because of the great environment, welcoming owners, delightful food, and I just have to try everything here! As a vegetarian I am always shocked when a place has more vegetarian options than carnivorous options. This made my choices difficult, but a lot of fun, thanks for a great meal :)

Delicious Ethiopian and Kenyan cuisine and a charming, friendly owner. Make sure you go with a big appetite and plenty of time as the portions are plentiful and the pace of service is leisurely.

I was in Fresno yesterday for a work trip and was struggling to find vegan options in the area. I found this place and omg-delicious!!! The service was excellent and the gentleman who helped me decide what to get did not disappoint. The flavors were spectacular . Not only was the food yummy, but the vibe and energy was great. Nice music, and great service!!!

They were understaffed, but the owner was hilarious, very personable, and every stop at our table left us laughing! The food came out in good quantity and was overall absolutely amazing. The reason for removing one star was the wait. Expect to be here 2-3 hours. However, everything was wonderfully seasoned and delicious!

Some of the tastiest food I have ever had. It was the definition of comfort food and all I wanted to do was go to bed right after eating. Spicy, savory, rich and perfectly balanced in every way.

This was my first time ever eating Ethiopian food and I must say that I loved it! The Kenyan beef I had was tender, juicy, and flavorful. It mixed well and tasted great along with the peppers and onions it was grilled with. The Injera itself tasted great and accented the rest of the food very well. The owner of the restaurant was very nice and friendly. The service was a little slow, however this was forgivable considering that it appeared to be a two man operation.

The food here was nothing short of amazing. Every dish served was a delightful experience, tantalizing our taste buds with each bite. The service too was commendable. The staff was not only super helpful but also impressively knowledgeable, adding to the overall dining experience. However, there was a noticeable downside - the long wait. Despite the evident popularity of the place, indicated by the large number of customers, there seemed to be only two staff members managing the floor. As a result, we ended up waiting almost 75 minutes for our food. While this was a bit of a dampener, the wait turned out to be totally worth it, thanks to the exceptional quality of the food. The flavors and presentation were so remarkable that I’d definitely return, hoping for a quicker service next time!

So so so good. The food is very fresh and the spices are amazing. You should 100% try it. Better Ethiopian food than in the bay, DC, LA. I always ask for extra injera! Keep in mind it may be a long wait but it's well worth it. Best eaten at the restaurant family style with a few other people. Staff is also very friendly!!

Hands down my favorite restaurant of all time !!! Delicious authentic Ethiopian food!! Served traditionally. The owner is the funniest wholesome guy ever & it makes the experience even more worth it!! If you’re considering eating here , I say you should do it!!! Although you may not be familiar with the dishes, everything tastes GREAT and is healthy !!! Food is served upon ingira (I think that’s how u say it), also called Teft bread, which is an ancient grain that is fermented. You eat the food with it and it’s so amazing. No utensils necessary!! Best way to build a connection with your food is to use your hands :)) Love coming here !!!!!

Although it took a long time to get my food, the whole restaurant is run by a single man who is The cashier the waiter and your chef. The food was delicious and tastes homemade, I had the spicy beef that was kind of like a stew and it was just amazing. Not a restaurant to come to if you're in a hurry, it might feel a little weird at first but it's very homey.

Delicious food! Mine and my gf's first time trying Ethiopian food and it was wonderful. The chef/ owner I believe helped us out with choosing our food and going over the menu. And showed us the grain the unleavened bread was made of, very neat! Would definitely recommend for either casual eating or a nice sit down with the family. He was quite humorous and a tremendous cook, wonderful combination! Don't hesitate to come if it seems to exotic or foreign for you, it's a great place to expand your culinary culture!

The person the helped us was so pleasant and funny and very helpful. The food was great I personally loved the spicy beef. But the coffee was so goooood. I would go for that alone. A must have.

We have had Ethiopian food all over the world and this was one of the best meals we have had. As good as the food was, the owner and service was even better. Highly recommended and thank you again!

Wonderful food, kind and charismatic owner, excellent value, comfortable dining. The owner will briefly walk you through the menu so dont feel intimidated! There are wonderful vegetarian and meat dishes. The sample style tray lets you try several out at one time. You will have leftover food and it's delicious warmed up! Absolutely will be back. Try it out! You won't regret it!

The business is slow and easy going atmosphere. There is available outdoor parking for people. I liked the cultural African theme of the restaurant but, it's very slow of service. The host allows you to seat yourself any available tables. The host is a great entertainer and informative by showcasing the ingredients they use in the food. Share insight knowledge about the Ethiopian meal. The meal is served in a large platter to share up to 8-10 people. Ideally suits family and large group of friends. The food are freshly made and takes a long while for the food to be serve. The speed of service takes a long time but the food is worth it.

I had lunch here - I used to live in Oakland and there are the BEST Ethiopian resultants there! I have also lived in NYC and traveled Europe and I always get Ethiopian food wherever I am. Anyway, this place was pretty good all things considered. The staff were nice, the food was tasty, but I’ve definitely had better. But, it’s Fresno, beggars can’t be choosers. Haha.
