Pretty much how I remember it. But bigger. I think they've added some rooms. Food is excellent and service was fast and friendly. Lots of staff working the lunch shift on a Wednesday. Haven't been in years but was a pleasant surprise. Lots of street parking. Some parking in the lot, but it's small with parking in the rear.

I love Castillo’s Mexican Food #memories from childhood. The food is still yummy a great potion for my money. The chips has a seasoning on them which makes them yum, they are making the trip back to SoCal with me. I recommend Castillo’s for great food and service….

This Mexican Restaurant is a gem! Great customer service…from the person welcoming us to the server, everyone was incredibly helpful and joyful. Amazing. Chips and salsa are fire. It’s what you would expect with warm fresh chips and pico de gallo. Ton of options for food, all is delicious. I got the Chile rellano and my wife got the enchiladas and tacos plate. Ton of food at a great price. IMO, this is what a Mexican restaurant ought to be. All the food that was come out looks tasty. Came out fast and hot. Ambiance was great inside…super busy…but that’s cause this place is worth visiting.

I came here for an early brunch. I was pleasantly surprised to know that they served lunch all day and breakfast was served until noon.. I ordered a chicken fajita with a strawberry Margarita. The Margarita was great because it was light and not heavy. The server reminded me that it was actually made with a Mexican wine and not a tequila . The fajitas were hot a hot and sizzling. Hot chips and salsa 🔥. The Mexican rice outstanding. Superb service and I love the remodeled section. They should remove tacky Tecate light posters. My mom loved te abondigas!

The food was awful. I have ready many reviews about how great the food is. The picture you see is red chili with eggs, beans, and potatoes. It's was on my top bad places to eat. I do not recommend this place.

Authentic Mexican food close to Moms. I came here for a Mexican breakfast and loved every bite. Typical Mexican decor in this large restaurant. The service was spot on and the food delivered hot and fresh. I had 3-eggs over easy, chili verde, beans, potatoes, and flour tortillas. The chili verde was the best I've ever had in a restaurant. The portions were hearty and I could not finish my food. I'll crave this experience until I can get back.

Service by staff was amazing, I can see everyone hustling and doing a good job. We did’t mind waiting about 45 minutes. Just to get in due to it being lunch rush on a Sunday. What I didn’t like was the food. Very underwhelming. Back in the day as a kid this was THE spot. And now it’s ehhh. I got the Nachos and the Chilaquiles. For the Nachos: the cheese was melted and hard, the asada was dry and not seasoned, guac tasted like it was instant guac out of a packet and watery. I ate the middle because I was starving but I wouldn’t feed this to anyone. For the chilaquiles: the salsa had no seasoning it just tasted like tomate and water. Again ate just some but it was just a sad meal. If you want AMAZING Mexican breakfast food stick to Las Mañanitas. (No disrespect, to this place, but it was the worst food I have ever had in a long time) again staff were great, food was -1/10.

We were trying to find a sit down restaurant that could accommodate our group of 9 quickly at lunch. We ended up picking Castillo’s for this annual outing 2 years in a row. The chips are delicious and the salsa is flavorful. The food came out fast and didn’t take long to prepare. There sodas are NOT free refills according to the menu, but they are so large you can make it last through the meal. The staff is attentive and friendly. They were kind enough to split the check up for each person to pay separately.

Menudo was good, pork chops plate was good as well. The only thing I didn’t like was the tortillas, I believe they cook them on low fire and it makes the tortillas raw if remove early or if cooked perfectly end up very hard. Other than that, the food was good. What made a huge difference was the service, I had really good service provided from this lady with a piercing on her left top cheek. She was very nice and very attentive. Nice service and food.

Best authentic Mexican restaurant in Fresno for the last decade. Anyone that is from Fresno knows this is the spot. Their service is impeccable. You see the same workers there so you know their management treats them right. I will not support a private business that doesn't treat their staff appropriately. Prices are still the best and the wait is always worth the wait. Food is consistent. Never got the same dish that tasted different. Very consistent. I used to work at a hotel and always directed our guests there and they always came back with the same experience I say. "Perfecto!"

The food is always bomb. We needed a table for 14 due to a funeral, we waited about 15 minutes only. They had no problems accommodating us all. Everyone's food came right on time and they continued to ask if we needed anything, this was during lunch hour and they still did great. Thank you.

We found this place on Google maps. It said a 4.6 star rating but I would give it a 5 star rating. I had the pork quesadilla and my husband had the ground beef burrito. Both delicious. This place is a must try when passing through.

First time there at that location. Went in right at 5pm which is when they close. (Didn't know) They could have turned us away but they gave us the option for take out. Very friendly staff. Also very quick. Got 3 fajita specials with all 3 meats. It was delicious and good portion. Will be back again. Hopefully to dine in next time 😂 appreciate them making my son's birthday dinner possible

Fabulous authentic tasting meals, excellent service, and excellent prices. This restaurant has been here for years and once you taste the food, you'll know why. Parking can be a challenge; however, you can park in the residential area a block away.

We absolutely love this restaurant. It takes a while to get in, but it is always worth the wait. The food never disappoints. My favorite dish is the chimichanga. I love that it is crispy and flavorful. This place is well worth our money.

Great food, fresh to order. Service was amazing. Our server made some excellent recommendations based on our taste preferences. Was too hungry to take good pics, but trust me when I say every bite was worth it!

Wonderful staff, fast, friendly service. Food was great they even let us adults eat off the kids' menu. The plates of food are big. The soda cups are big as well. We enjoy the chips and salsa. It looks super small but decent size inside. Could use some updates, but it's OK because she staff, food are fantastic.

Excellent customer service. The staff is very customer oriented. The host made sure that everyone who entered was acknowledged. The house was full. Once seated, our order was taken promptly. It didn't more than 5 or 6 minutes after that for our entire order to co.e to the table. Quality food at very reasonable prices. I had 3 item Combo with beans and rice for 12.99

I forget how good there food is omg. I first came here 3 years old with my fiancé great place. Today for lunch I came with my 2 year and fiancé food was just amazing. Great service. Great spanish rice.

I think it's time to upgrade the dinning area where it all started. Seats on the booths are worn down. Service was great.. Food was not to good for me, I don't think the enchilada sauce is home made, nor the rice. The chicken and shredded beef was good, beans were good. Salsa was not spicy. I'll try something different next time.
