La Torta has a lunch buffet between 11am and 2pm. The food was hot and presented well. The service is a little slow and we had to wait for tortillas and napkins. But other than that the food was delicious. The chile rellenos were great, the carnitas were crispy and just right, the enchiladas yummy, the Chile verde just right and on and on. I highly recommend this place for lunch. But get there at 11am because it does get busy around 12:30 for the downtown lunch crowd.

I've been here twice in the last month and they have always proven to be an exemplary fine restaurant. Even during the busy rush of lunch time the staff is attentive and quick to serve us. The food is great examples of Mexican food and the cost is most reasonable. You get the feeling that this is a great family run place.

First time going to La Torta, I was not dissapointed. Food was great and so was the service. Norma’s was our waitress. She went out of her way. Clean place will definitely go again.

Always great food with fresh ingredients at a good price.they have 4 or 5 specials everyday that they rotate throughout the week.

First off, I just want to say the service was great and so was the atmosphere. The reason we are giving a 2 star rating is we all got sick from dinning here. We did not eat at the buffet (which is a cool feature) and might be a one off incident, but unfortunately can’t give it a full 5 star rating. That being said the food was good, rice was a bit dry, but mole enchiladas were delicious, and unfortunately made us sick.

Killer food... definitely added to my rotation of restaurants.

The worse $20 lunch! Taco and burrito was not separated from the enchilada. Both taco and burrito was engulfed in enchilada sauce. Asada meat had lots of nerve. First time trying this place & last.

I had the Carne asada torta, it was bomb! The bread is so good I could eat just that bread and be happy, and the ladies are very nice.

Perfect for a quick lunch! Buffet style, grab a plate, grab your food, sit and eat. Servers are all really nice and the cheese enchiladas are delicious!

I would have believed them if they said my mom cooked the food. It tasted just like her cooking. The lunch buffet was great and had a good selection. The waitress was very friendly and regularly checked in with me to make sure i was ok. The best part was the price. It wasn't expensive to have a great lunch buffet. I definitely recommend this place

They need to show pictures of the food dishes on the menu so where not surprised when we get some thing we weren't expecting 😉 other then that it's a good place.

Amazing staff. Great food. Cute restaurant front. Always so friendly. I have even had to send food back once for correction and I got a great response not rude or snippy not a long wait. You can call ahead to order. Nothing but great things to say about these people and this restaurant.

The food is delicious here. The lunch buffet is my favorite, it has a little bit of everything..beans, rice, caldos, enchiladas, chile rellenos, chile Colorado, chile verde & much more. If your in downtown Fresno give this place a try you won't regret it.

Great little establishment. Tried this place on a wim and glad I went. The buffet is really good, authentic mexican entrees, make your own tacos, chilli rellanos, chilli colorado and more, little salad bar with some fresh fruit and soup. Well worth the 15 buck, and you get chips and salsa and a drink included, staff is very attentive and the owner is a sweet heart. I will definately be going here again.

If you haven’t tried La Torta yet, give them a shot. I’ve had them twice now; service is good and the food is quite delicious!

The owner Elsa and her staff are amazing just as great tasting food on everything they make in her restaurant!! The buffet is to die for everything is hot and fresh! The dining is so refreshing and roomy. Must visit and done in I guarantee you will not regret!

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this spot yet. If you're looking for lunch in downtown, there's both sit-down and buffet style offerings that are all quite delicious! The staff is very kind, so please treat them with respect. La Torta offers many vegetarian options as well! The vegetarian taquitos and the classic two cheese enchilada plate are my comfort food favorites. Find them inside the Galleria! Also, their chips and salsa are A+. This is probably my favorite Mexican style restaurant in Fresno!
