I have visited this restaurant many times over the last 30+ years. Family owned and the service is always friendly. Generally speaking the food is good. They do not serve chips and salsa with a meal, that is for breakfast at least, which is what I usually go for, but I’m sure it’s available at an extra charge. They have a nice little outdoor dining area, which is where my friend and I had breakfast today. My friend thoroughly enjoyed the omelette he ordered. I however ordered Chile rellenos which were unfortunately over cooked and too salty. This has nixed the possibility of my ever ordering that dish there. Not suggesting that it should influence your choice of meal. It just is what it is. I have had chili rellenos there in the past that were quite good. One of the hallmarks, in my opinion, of a good eatery is consistency. Bob appetite!

Great authentic, fresh food! We found this place on a whim traveling through the area and will definitely make it a destination place in the future. This place has a great family history so take the time to read it in their menu. The tortillas were fresh made, the shredded beef was flavorful and tender. The service was excellent, attentive, and personal, and still run by family. I highly recommend!

Apparently this place is the original restaurant before they opened others. They have a patio and an area inside. The patio is surrounded by a water mister system. The food was great! I had the bacon wrapped shrimp with rice and beans. The salsas (green and red) were both mild but tasty. Oh yeah! They make their own fresh corn and flour tortillas.

Ordered large albóndigas and it only came with two meat ballls. The rice had way to much Camino/cumin and the meatball a little undercook

I go an order a menudo and they ask me what size, so I say a small since it's for my senior father. When i get the menudo she bags it and i noticed no tortillas. I ask doesn't it come with tortillas she says no. I ask wonder why since you ask me what size? She replied because it's cheaper. Who eats a menudo without tortillas? My father lives in Madera so just threw it away and made an order of menudo at Maranatha in Madera. Homemade fresh corn tortillas. Was disappointed not sure if it's a valid complaint but for sure left me unhappy at Guadalajara.. Just figured tortillas should be part of the meal.. Who eats spaghetti without bread?

I've been going here for a long time never have I had issues however today was just horrible we sat and waited for over 40 minutes after placing our order and finally asked what was taking so long they then told us we were 3tables behind the to go orders. They could have told us before there was a longer wait for dine in.

I used to eat here around 4 times a month and the food was outstanding 12 years ago but my last visit wasn't what I expected and the prices were up there. But to be fair and say maybe it was just a bad day I will give them 1 more try and see if they have just lost their way.

Great spot. Food was delicious there was generous portions the servers were so kind and attentive we ate out on the patio and it was wonderful. If you like spicy try the chilaquiles. Definitely coming back.

This place is cozy, kinda strange location, but the service was great, friendly and fast. The food was amazing 🤩. Very delicious and good quality, quantity for price. Definitely going to be a regular.

I'm not from Fresno. 1st time I visited this place. People were nice but I can't say food is good. The rice is dry and overall the burrito was dry. I wish this place the best but I won't be going back

The food was so good this is definitely the best fajitas I’ve ever had and love that they serve it with homemade flour tortillas. They also serve a really good breakfast as well but honestly everything on the menu is really good I recommend everyone to come here especially if you’re looking for authentic Mexican food.

Haven't ate here in many years. Came out with a huge group of friends. Service was fantastic & very fast. The wait staff was very friendly. Food was as amazing as I remembered. I moved far away. So when I'm back in Fresno will be coming back. Thank you Guadalajara staff. God bless you all.

Guadalajara is well known as the best Mexican food in town. I went for breakfast and the Chili Verde was delicious. It even came with homemade tortillas. I added a jalapeno toreador for the perfect extra added spice to the meal.

Great taste. Great customer service. Portions were good sized. Coffee was good. It's hard to find a good cup of coffee.

Had the asada plate and the meat was burned, the plate didn't look like full it was small peace of burned asada.. sad it use too be my favorite place to eat.. the only good thing is they haven't changed thier salsa. Was not worth $27 for 1 plate of food😔

My first time here. The place feels clean and larger size seating capacity than it appears. Parking is confusing/unmarked. We ordered two breakfast burritos. The tortillas were homemade and the potatoes seem boiled, but overall a good tasting burrito. Probably healthier than fried potatoes. Authentic Mexican beans. The service was friendly and welcoming. I would try this place again!

Bought a asada combination burrito and it was delicious very stuffed and fresh. Love their soft handmade tortillas. Only thing is no good parking and a bit crowded

Absolutely Amazing service! The Food was just perfect! I ordered the Menudo very flavorful and the tortillas were hot and made in-house. I will be returning any chance I get! I brought my grandkids and daughter and they enjoyed it just as much as I did.

It is a small restaurant, can't say much about the outside, it was pretty late when we went. Food is good, servers were very attentive. No entertainment, that I saw.

Omfg I ordered because I saw the reviews!!! Who wrote the good ones! I got the Carne asada and was like chewing a leather belt! Hard and flavorless... The beans were water like and the rice was dry! They need to go back to Guadalajara to try tlaquepaque food then come back to rewrite the recipe... Horrible food!!! Avoid it.

Went with my daughter for breakfast, food was delicious service was slow to start, waitress was outside talking to a friend I'm assuming so had to wait like 10min to take our order but after that service was good

The best menudo hands down. This place has been serving up some really great food for a few decades now. They've opened other restaurants in town, but none of them compare to the original restaurant.

I totally recommend this place! I've driven past it for years but never went in, but my girlfriend and I went together yesterday and we were blown away. It seats a lot more people than it looks like from the street, and the food is terrific as is the staff. Check it out!

This place may be small and very close knit as a "papa mamas" place, the food is made with lots of caring thought for the customers. Very deliciously made and to your liking. I really enjoyed the environment with happy customers!

What is up with their hours of operation, Closing at 4 in the afternoon. I had been going into this pace for over 20 years for dinner or lunch now I can't make it for lunch so I cannot get food from here. What reason could they have for killing off over half their business. I hope they can explain why they had to do this. It was once the best restaurant in Fresno. I am sorry I can no longer say that. All of my reviews of the food were from the past
