I’ve had an incredible and amazing experience eating at this place three time already and after tasting it I would recommend it for everyone who likes Mexican food , fyi it’s way better than chipotle . Cynthia is too competent in her job where she attains a great customer service management and too friendly with customers and always offer help.

I was kicked out of the house for a bit so my wife could concentrate on work because I’m a distraction. I always have a hard time deciding on what to eat, especially with other people. Me and my cousin were looking for places for like a half hour before deciding to just pick somewhere close. This place is bomb, I got the sweet pork barbacoa burrito. You get quite a bit of food for the price ($17 with drink). It’s in the style of pieology or chipotle where you pick the ingredients as you walk down the counter, so I’d imagine the taste is going to be consistent every time you come. The staff is friendly and the horchata is surprisingly good. 5⭐️ highly recommend

Best burritos in Fresno. Get the steak burrito with black beans rice and cheese, enchilada style. It’s burrito perfection! Horchata is also excellent!

Food was cold (ordered a burrito). They put a lot less meat in their burritos than other locations. In store orders are very slow. They will make half the family wait while they take care of call in orders. I have had the same experience multiple times.

Staff is pretty nice. Quiet but that doesn’t mean anything bad, I’m just an extrovert who loves talking people. The food though 🥹🤤🤌🏻 That food is so heavenly and we are obsessed. So good and hot and flavorful. They do such a good job! The store also seemed very clean 🧼

Truly fascinating culinary experience on many levels. Fresh ingredients, but I truly believe if one of the big-tech companies developed a robot or an artificial intelligence program of what it thinks Mexican food should taste like, well Café Rio would be it. Not that I don't love getting nickle-and-dimed for salsa...I mean who doesn't in this day and age? If you’ve never had a taco in your life before you will think this is fantastic I’m sure. Or if you have and you get all giddy about fond memories of “Mexican-food” day at middle school, then head on down there.

Honestly for my first time I was very disappointed. Paid $17 for nachos and there was more chips than anything. Small portions of meat, asked for cilantro and literally got 2 peace’s. Way over priced for some nacho’s. You can get a better plate at Arsenios with plenty of meat rice beans and the rest of the fixings for a cheaper price and it would include a drink. Very disappointed in this Cafe Rio place

Finally got to try this place out. A nice alternative to my olf stand by Chipotle. Lots of different meat and sauce choices that are very flavorful. The flour tortillas are pretty thick and are taste home-made. Outside seating is a plus.

Our first time to Cafe Rio. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Ashley was very informative with our questions and great. Lily was super friendly and genuine. Both made our experience pleasant. Plus the food was super tasty. We'll definitely return. God bless!

Had lunch with a friend here for the first time, the food was hot fresh and made to order. I had nachos with grilled chicken, the nachos are topped off with cheese, guac and sour cream and the serving size is plenty for two people to share comes with plenty of chips. My friend had enchiladas with shredded chicken dish came with two sides rice and beans the enchiladas were soft and flavorful, good enchiladas sauce. Nice employees the guy who takes the orders was so patient with us while we ordered because we were unfamiliar with the menu he guided us on what to order. There’s outdoor patio seating and indoor seating is allowed with social distancing in place.

Roach in my food. Won’t be back, ever. Huge bummer this is one of my favorites. also one star because I couldn’t even reach the store to report the issue. All I got was a lady at the call center saying “the store doesn’t have a direct line. a lot of restaurants in the area fight this problem” Disgusting place and disgusting customer service. Huge bummer also because the line staff in store here are great. Don’t know how they allowed a roach to get into my tin though.

My sister and I went for the first time, had burritos, food was good but OVER PRICED. 50 bux for 2 burritos that were really small for the big price. Probably won't be going back.

Food is good, fresh, and amazing. By the time we placed our order and sat down was quick and that’s where the problem started all the booths were filthy! There was a spilled drink under one of the booth and it sat there the whole time we were there. The long bench had food on it as well. There was literally no place to sit. Hopefully next time we come they raise the standard on cleanliness. I gave them a strong 3 star customer service and food was great

My honey brought me tacos from here and thry were good. We were out trying different taco locations in national taco day! He had chicken and tortilla soup, and I had beef. No pics we were hungry 😋

Great catering option. We ordered the Enchilada meal for 25 family members. Online ordering made it super easy. Our order was ready as scheduled, the package included absolutely everything we needed to make this a perfect family reunion. Everyone thought the food was delicious. I wish I could give these people 6 stars.

⛔️⚠️Be careful people are stealing credit card info ordering online and cafe rio doesn’t try to resolve the issue kind of sus considering I’ve worked in the restaurant business for about 15 years and I can literally pull up last 4 of any card number even back before computer POS systems were a thing. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO A CAFE RIO IN MY LIFE. Never will now seems like they’re in on the scam. Just don’t. First transaction they attempted $270 what the heck!!! Then successfully for $44 so sad this is what the restaurant world comes to. Gross 🤢

Good quality and great tasting food. Only issue is the person making it, like most franchises the recipe is perfect but depends on the workers/individual following the instructions. Overall I like there food.

I live in Texas and was visiting family that just moved to the area. This place was convenient to the airport and have to say it was awesome. The food was delicious and fresh and so flavorful. Reasonably priced. We ate there on the way back to the airport 3 days later we liked it so much! I recommend the Pollo asado!

It's like Chipotle only not better. I got a veggie burrito, with only the vegetable toppings and beans. I asked for sour cream and it was slathered on top. It made my burrito soggy. I didn't specify on the side and they didn't ask. Only good thing was the machine made tortillas. Maybe it's just not a good option if you don't eat meat. 🤷

We have mixed feelings about the food here. Most of the time it's pretty good .. others... Too salty, thick and heavy. And it gets pricy. The workers are wonderful! We try it out a few times a year.

The company where my friend works had this place cater lunch today. I got to try some leftover green chile chicken enchiladas that had sat in the fridge all day and then went fora ride in the car for during some errands they had to go on before they got to me. I was blown away! The tortillas tasted fresh and homemade. The salsa Verde they were covered in was delicious and they were packed with shredded chicken. I thought they were so good I had to come leave a review immediately. I haven't even officially eaten here yet!

When looking up "food near me" this place popped up. The reviews seemed okay, but the pictures of the food are what sold me. As soon as we arrived we were deflated to see it was a Subway-like experience where you choose your entree, your type of meat, sauce etcetera. The food was SO GOOD! I did encounter a few grains of rice that were not fully cooked, but no biggie. The soda and condiment station had sodas to choose from, horchata, lemonade and a few other choices. They even had syrups for you to customize your drinks. The napkins and utensils were of excellent quality and they had various hot sauces to choose from. (oddly enough, the knife did not fit through fork while cutting? 🙃) All of the employees we encountered were very nice, pleasant and none seemed to be disgruntled in any way shape or form. I'm glad we gave this place a shot. We will definitely be returning!

I have tried Cafe Rio twice. The first time I tried the enchiladas but that wasnt what brought me back. I've gone back a couple of times for their delicious homemade flour tortillas and their guacamole, chips and salsa. The guacamole is pretty darn good but it turns brown fast so will eat it in one sitting only. I tried the lime cilantro steak and it was good. They are extremely expensive but have great appetizers. If they served alcohol I'm sure they would stay packed for the chips and guac. Wasnt a big fan of the enchiladas but they werent bad either. I took a pic of the quesadilla as well. The draw is definitely their tortillas.

We ordered the steak salad bowls and it did not disappoint! The only reason why I did not give it 5 stars is because it is my first time ordering and we only ordered one item from their menu and we would like to order more. The salad was delicious. It was a good portion. It included rice, your choice of beans, greens, tortilla strips, a soft flour tortilla bowl, pico de gallo, and such a delicious creama cilantro dressing. Your choice of protein. We chose steak, great flavor!

The food just okay, nothing exciting. Main chef/Order taker seemed rushed. We were not asked if we wanted flour, corn or whole wheat tortillas. Be sure to ASK if you want something special. The Cashier was courteous and effective! For dine-in, you have a choice of a hard metal seats or hard wooden slabs! The rice that I was served was crunchy/hard probably from the edges of the pan. The Pinto beans were very flavorful! Also on the positive side... I will say that they have an excellent selection of drinks!! Overall okay!
