Sunnyside Delicatessen Has a new ownership the Husak Family. This is their first family own restaurant. Great location! The place looks great! Spacious indoor and outdoor dining. Perfect for a family event or birthday party. The food is fresh, delicious and healthy. Made to order. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The menu has a variety of choices for different tastes. Family friendly, spacious parking lot and safe environment. Expect to wait in line, since everyone in town is enjoying the deliciousness of their food. I totally recommend this place. The official opening day is September 4th, 2021. $$ Price range

This is a great friendly family owned neighborhood deli to meet up for lunch ONLY that serves beer and wine produced by local wineries and microbreweries! The sandwiches don't disappoint! The local favorites are the TBA ( turkey, bacon🥓 and avocado 🥑), Italian sub (4 meat types included), and The Works ( pastrami, Mortadella, Salami, Roast Beef, and Ham). The patio outside with the misters and fountain is ideal to enjoy lunch. Only Con: The bathrooms need a key to use and are behind the restaurant😔 #SupportSmallBusiness

I was bragging to my cousin about how good the sandwiches were and how quick service was. Well that was the first time I went. This second time I went to take my cousin. We waited half an hour for our food. They never called her name. When. She went to ask the bag was sitting on the back counter. When we got home my sandwich was not as good as the first time I hardly had any meat. We ordered fries fries were not in the bag. Had to call and go back to pick up fries. Now their using shoestring fries the first time i went the fries were bigger and. better. I dont understand how they would want to change their menu

Today was my first time in since the new owners. The staff was great. The addition of Tactical Ops beer's is nice to see. As a long time patron, I was not disappointed with the quality of the sandwich. Boars Head meats and cheeses are still being used. The vegetables we're fresh. The biggest difference is the bread, it is not the same Italian rolls that Greg and Co used to use. A spectacular sandwich all the same though. I look forward to coming back and trying the sides and soups. I hope they are just as successful as the previous owners. I love the new eco friendly to go packaging as well!

Great food, my favorite is the Turkey, Bacon, Avacado on Sourdough. UPDATE: 4/20/22 Happy to know this place is open again. The food and service is exactaly the same. Great work team. The TBA is still awesome! Thanks.

Absolute worst Italian deli I've ever been to, the first time I went I got an Italian sub and the bread was rock hard I decided to give it another shot, the second time I ordered a meatball sandwich and they gave me 2 pieces of bread with a container of meatballs, I called to ask about it and the guy on the phone said "that's too bad" and hung up I called back, then the "manager" answers the phone and refuses to give a refund. Both were very rude and offered no way to make it right.

Sunnyside Deli is a fixture in the Clovis and Kings Canyon area. Was sad to hear that the original owners sold during the pandemic, but new ownership has picked right up when Sunnyside Deli was and kept going forward. My favorite is the hot pastrami, and it still rocks! In the past, the grilled cheese has been amazing as well. Staff is polite and patient. Even when busy, things moving well. Go here, support local over chains like the ones that tell you how good their food is in their name. Google people, good food!

Their pastrami sandwich is excellent! The clam chowder was also very nice. The location is very clean and the staff is friendly.

First time there and we will be back, the half sandwiches are pretty big I don't think I could eat a whole one by myself. Fresh ingredients and friendly staff. 😁

Went on Thurs for the tri tip, not impressed. When they first opened they said they had the recipes from the previous owner, I don't think they're using them. I think they're going for the bistro look, they have beer and wine now. Not at all busy, and they are SLOW.

Used to be a solid 4 star place to grab a sandwich. Last time I went it was basically just bread and filler with no meat at all! Also the tots weren't cooked. Either a bad day for staff or they're struggling, either way save your money. As a New Yorker in cali I can say comfortably I wont go back.

The attention to customer service is outstanding. I order what probably no one had ever ordered. They just prepared what I wanted. The food was perfectly prepared and delicious. This deli listens to the customers and lengthened their hours and added limited entertainment and evening activities. We would recommend this delicatessen.

Great tasting sandwiches. I had the works and it really had the works in it. Update: had the works on Dutch crunch and it still tasted great

Co-workers recommended this place. I ordered the hot Pastrami; everything on it. This place definitely hits my top 5 for sandwich shops. I do wish they had smaller sides of potatoes salad to have with the sandwich. But price is right for the quality. I should of asked for extra pickles and wax peppers. Really fresh and crisp. I'll be coming back for sure. ***3/31/22 I have gone several times since Sunnyside has undergone new ownership. I can say it was a little rough at the start but it seems they have everything oiled up and running smoothly. Sandwiches and killer and so are the sides.

Love having this neighborhood deli back in business. Under new ownership but still the same great sandwiches. They use Boar's Head meats and cheeses (YUM!). Nice touches to brighten up the interior. Congrats and good luck!

Awesome food and awesome customer service. Went in on my lunch break to get a sandwich and a salad. Got back to work and realized i was given the wrong sandwich. Any other place would've told me to come back in or would've gave me a credit. Sunnyside deli remade my sandwich and brought it to my work along with a brownie. That kind of customer service is hard to come by these days. Will definitely be recommending this place
