I have been wanting to visit the Art Museum since I was a teen, I'm mid 30s now, so it's been on my list forever! I finally went on a Saturday, it's only $10 to get in, for it being a Saturday it was very calm. I was able to be in some of the gallery rooms alone and take my time looking over the pieces. I really loved the "Beyond Boundaries" expedition. The colors and art really called to me, there were about 4 or 5 different expeditions on display. There were 4 separate rooms in the museum and then one display was in the main lobby area and hall. The building itself is beautiful, high ceilings, beautiful flooring, modern. They have a cute gift shop, and a sculpture garden in the back, the garden is nice, small and quiet, on warmer days it would be nice to just sit and relax back there. There is also a Beautiful mural painted on the building in the garden. Parking is free, the museum is right next to a park, staff was very nice and welcoming.

How amazing experience! They are right to say “ visit us … be inspired!” The quality of the exhibition is great, similar to visit the Broad at Los Angeles CA or the MoMA at New York! This museum offers us unique opportunities to see and enjoy important pieces of art and artists. On this museum I knew the Chester Arnold artwork and his art catch me immediately! That is what I am looking for when I visit the museum! FAM is absolutely amazing, great exhibition, garden and the store is really nice. The docents are very kind!

It was a wonderful place to visit. I really like that they have an outside area that you can sit and enjoy some art rocks. The art inside was really unique. The place was clean and the gift shop has a lot nice things that you can purchase.

I’m sorry Fresno. You’re kind of depressing. I’m trying not to judge but...And surely there are some lovely parts of you. I found one I love. Your Art Museum. Small and unpretentious. My first visit a couple of years ago I was a little put off by the unsavory characters hanging around the parking lot but once inside was blown away by the exhibit. This visit happened to be on a Family Day so there was a food truck, music and kids everywhere. The main exhibit was closed due to the fragile nature of the exhibit and...children. Ah well, I still got to see one exhibit by Jenne Giles that I thought was brilliant. Bravo for having such a thing as Family Day! And for putting on such amazing Fiber Art exhibits. **************************************************************************** I’m learning life in my van “Belle” is quite different from life in a trailer which is much more sticks and bricks like with running water and a bathroom and a fridge! Van life is bare bones yet much freer. It’s a road trip every day! I’m sure there will be days when that just loses its appeal entirely but for now it feels grand.

My daughter and I had a lovely time at the Art Museum today with one notable exception and the reason for the one star deduction... the homeless hanging out on the North side of the building. The issue I have is it's well within eyesight of the parking lot and it made my daughter nervous until we got inside of the museum. Once inside, all of the staff were friendly and helpful. The museum itself was well lit and clean. At the time of this posting, there is a special exhibit for Maurice Sendak. He wrote and illustrated the children's book "Where the wild things are". We had an enjoyable morning, and we will likely return later in the year.

A gem for the art, but I never have a pleasant experience with the staff on duty when I visited them over the years. Third time visiting in 2017 was the last straw. I had been very excited to share the exhibit with my friends and family and readers across the globe, but after dealing with the staff on duty there, I kept it to myself and vowed never to return. But I wish others a good experience.

Was a fun hands on experience. I went with my daighter for a field trip, and was very informative and fun. Great place to take your Family for a local fieldtrip. Cool artifacts, knowledgeable friendly staff. Cool air condition. Everything was very well kept, restrooms display cases and all.

Love this museum. It's not the biggest, but it packs a punch. There's always something good to see here. Usually not too crowded or much of a wait.

Really enjoyed the Fresno Art Museum. Each little wing was for a different artist, and we saw a nice mix on display. I enjoyed the focus on the different people, different media types, and the lovely courtyard as well. It was a little chilly, which I understand helps with the art preservation but still - bring a jacket. It somehow felt a little empty, like the rooms were large but could have been fuller, but maybe the individual pieces were just a little small for the walls. It was still well worth it. The employees were delightful, and they were even serving cookies and cider in the main area for free. It was very nice art museum!

A high-quality museum with not much to see. The gallery exhibits change several times per year, so it's worth going back, but for such a large city, the city art museum is unexpectedly meagre.

This place is not kids friendly. My son was doing scavenger hunt and he just touched an empty wall where no art was displayed,an old man came to stop him then he asked me not to let him touch the wall again. He was just a little kid,and he felt so threatened because the expressions of old guy was really hurtful.I think they should mention that dont bring kids, rather than embarrasing parents and kids.

Sad place- 4 rooms -no budget- no art here- just kids books pages in frame on wall- very disappointing. No permanent collection open… Child spent 10 minutes inside- garden was best part-drug dealer in parking lot-will not be back.

I liked it, it's something small for a reasonable price. Definitely don't like the rule about the backpacks. But it is something nice to do
