One of the many family friendly Christmas events that Fresno, California has to offer the community. It’s free. They gladly accept donations. Car drive through. Plan accordingly. Long wait times. We decided to go on a Wednesday evening. On this day we waited 1.5 hours to get in. Took us about another 1.5 hours to drive through the entire lane. Make sure to dine before or take along snacks and water. Always take your patience when driving through Christmas Tree Lane. It’s a joyful Christmas event but it takes a long time to see the whole street. Rain or fog this event takes place. They have wooden reindeers throughout the lane. It’s fun to try and spot them all.

All the cars lined up and great reviews led us to believe this place would be awesome, but it was incredibly lame. Most people barely decorated if they even bothered to at all. Only 1 house at the very end was actually impressive. A few at least had a bit of cool stuff to look at, but there are much better houses to go to if you actually want to see Christmas lights. Underwhelming is an understatement.

Beautiful place to visit if you're passing through or live in Fresno. I have been here quite a few times and it never ceases to amaze me. The lights, music, and decor help take your mind off things and really put me in the Christmas spirit! 🎄 This place is Free, and excepts donations. My only disappointment was they closed down at 10 and I didn't get to give my donation.

Fun for the young ones! But as an adult who used to go down Christmas tree lane I felt like it was very sad. It's just not the same as 15 years ago. Less lights. Less houses putting in the efforts like they once did. Non the less still enjoyable place to take a cruise thru or even better the walk night!

Is Christmas Tree Lane open on Christmas? I enjoyed many trips down the lane as a child, took my children when they were young and this year I want to bring my grandchildren on Christmas night. The many years of hard work that have gone into this event are greatly appreciated. The memories of this beautiful display will never be erased.

My wife and I walked the entire Christmas Tree Lane last night. It was an easy two hour roundtrip. Port-a-potties are provided near the (north) end. Perfect way to enjoy the displays. Felt very safe the entire time. Much better than enduring the long line to drive through.

This has been a long family tradition that did not disappoint! I am so appreciative of the families that work so hard each year to put this on. It means so much to so many. My elderly father, young son, husband, and teenage foreign exchange student had another amazing year!!! Thank you!

Love Christmas Tree Lane yearly! Haven't missed one for 5 seasons since moving here. ❤️ this tradition and all th3 beautiful artwork as well as light displays. Please support this project via Venmo @FresnoChristmasTreeLane It is through community donation that they are able to run year after year! Suggestion if you don't want to wait in a long line: * Get there before sundown

We went last night. Took some relatives who came to visit from another country. They loved it. Seeing so many lights is so beautiful. I remember coming as a little girl. While not all the houses are decorated the same, it has always been donation based. I was imagining myself having to put up all those lights across the trees from one side of the road to the other. That's a lot of work! I appreciate the time and effort that was put into Christmas Tree Lane and enjoyed singing along to the music on their radio station. It is a privilege to go and to have it right here in the valley! Thank you to the people who put it together every year!

I love Christmas Tree Lane throughout the year it's just a wonderful place to walk up and down meeting with the neighbors and seeing the other dogs and cats haha no cats are walking anyway it's just a wonderful time just to fellowship with your neighbors.

We have made it our yearly family tradition to bring the kids here. Adults and kids alike will appreciate and get into the holiday spirit once they visit.

I’ve always loved Christmas tree lane, always a good time with the family and we appreciate the families that take their time in decorating and putting this event together when they really don’t have too?! No what makes me upset is all the people complaining about giving donations and a lot of homes not having lights up! This is something this neighborhood isn’t forced to do so don’t be feeling entitled to getting a free show! Plus no one is forcing anyone to give money that’s why it’s DONATIONS! You know just the way that hard working people pay their taxes and “less fortunate” people get section 8, food stamps and stimulus! If it’s that upsetting get together with your neighborhood and start your own event!

Definitely one of Fresno’s classic Christmas traditions and my family looks forward to going every year!

Always a great tradition for our family. The line on Dec. 3 was treacherous with 4 anxious kids waiting for an hour in line, but it's expected. I think going a little later is a good choice to beat the rush. Also what really disappointed us is that our kids were waiting so long to see Santa and he was heading to our sons window and then got into an RV right next to us and stayed in there so we couldn't say hi. It totally bummed them out. Maybe the Santa can treat everyone fairly.🎄 Merry Christmas!⛄

There's only one Christmas tree Lane since the 1920s the poor boy died in one of the houses there and ever since they put a tree there in his name and everyone else decorated too that's how it all began I have some pictures that I will post from back then and in the 50s I've been going there since I was a child I was born in the '60s they really should give candy canes out like they used to especially when people donate money I mean where are the simple things in life

It's always beautiful and gorgeous, just a shame once and a while some heartless people have to make people fearful to come enjoy it,this street in Fresno is to represent peace on earth and good will towards all men!

Before I go All-In. Thank you neighbors for sharing your homes with thousands of people every year to shut down your neighborhood, for hours and weeks, for the goodwill of smiles. Kudos to the City of Fresno for structuring the event planning in a safe and organized manner and communicating with the community about the expectations of maintaining this traditional event to be respectful, safe, and family focused. Wow! Can I stay awake through this drive. Sleepy Mom Driving. If you have visited any magical Christmas Lane then you will be bored. I'm a visitor to the city. And lights, camera, action is my thing. Actually if you got bundled up to go see Christmas lights it's probably your thing too. The Fresno bowling alley had more Wow. When kiddos and cars go to sleep and it's only 6:10 that is telling. If this was a walking event, I would demand foot massages at the end. And a refund. Oh yeah it's free. Well, refund my time. I have no proof but I noticed a pattern: No mechanical decorations. Period. The most dramatic a house could be is stand-ups that were cardboard or wood decor No awesome lights spectacular. Most homes had one light or it could have been the already lawn lights Do not expect any Christmas Light Fight competition Two hours later between waiting in line and passing last home, I would recommend a pass on this one. High Fives Beautiful trees. Actual trees, not Christmas trees. Monetary donations at the end are appreciated "Don't compare the measure of giving of your heart to another. Each of our circumstances vary."

I’ve been coming to this for years and this year I finally got the opportunity to take my baby for the first time. Everything is beautifully decorated and it’s very family friendly. My daughter loved the lights and music. No cost is associated but they ask for a donation.

An annual family tradition for the past 4 years. Our daughter loves it. It is a very long wait to get into the entrance of Christmas Tree Lane, but it is always a wonderful treat. It's free, and the past couple years there have even been little treats you can purchase before entering, such as hot chocolate, glow toys, and churros. You can drive or walk through. If you plan to do a walk through dress warm. There are photo opportunities along the walk, so be sure to take the time to stop and take photos. At the end of the Lane, they gladly accept donations and appreciate it, any little thing helps.
