This neighbors Riverstone Creek retention pond where you can fine a wonderful gang of ducks turtles and one very grumpy goose. It's also known as El Franco Hike and Bike trail which is an extension to the larger El Franco Sports field and Splashpad located just off beltway 8 feeder and Hall Rd. ... El Franco in a whole has everything you want in a community park. Sports ballpark has several feilds, picnic areas, playground, splash pad, nature wetlands, recreation center and indoor and outdoor reception areas.... It's the best park in this area. It's my nature sanctuary to where I can honor our beautiful planet. I'm grateful it's available for my workouts and nature fix. P.S. I can't tell you how many pounds of trash I've cleaned up because the trash cans we're all over flowing with trash and when it storms it flys into the water and THAT is a danger to the life of the turtles and ducks. PLEASE do your part to keep this park clean. Do NOT throw your trash in these overstuffed bins.... maybe use your home or nearby gas station. #DontMessWithTexas

Very beautiful scenery and nice long trail However, unfortunately, I had a horrible experience . I would go run with my dog when I got approached one day (last week 1/19/23) by a black male long black/white beard he took off his vest and proceeded towards me (he also tried to talk to me but I had ran off and called the police(police could not do anything report made) once people came, he took off the other way … unfortunately, this is not the first time someone has been assaulted at this park + a young female went missing. Please be very careful. I don’t even feel safe going to this park anymore. Carry pepper spray and be aware of your surroundings especially at night there no lights anywhere.

Bring water because this is basically 6.25 miles of full sun. Trail is asphalt and has large, deep cracks in places, so be careful. Keep in mind though that it is a great, free resource. Grass along the trail was well maintained. Plenty of free parking at various playgrounds along the trail.

Nice park, but the sides by trails need cleaning. Blue bathrooms in front stink. Also needs more lighting at night. Some areas on trails need to be fixed.

Great park to exercise. Long bike trails, nice view of bayou & duck pond. Eyesore is the trash in the bayou. There is no public water fountains along trail or restrooms.

It was a nice little trail with a bunch of ducks and geese. Too bad it's not that well maintained- there was empty plastic bags and poop on the sidewalk. The water looked splendid though because of the sun. It did look dirty up close but what can you expect when it's home to animals like turtles and what not.

Clean. fun. Love the shady forest area and the walking trail circle. Nice place for a walk. There are restrooms open during the week. Never used them, but it’s a nice touch.

6 mile loop. Feels very safe. Usually great parking. Always been able to find a spot. This trail loops into neighborhoods so you can really get a lot more mileage. The trail is asphalt and narrow and in mediocre condition but still a great trail. Beautiful scenery and friendly people.
