This place need to be shut down. They don’t use gloves nor wash they hands. They use old food that people don’t pick up for example I saw them opening up a chicken quesadilla and take off the chicken to make it cheese. Posting picture below. Also the owners are racist and treat employees like trash especially nancy. John lick his fingers and touch the tortillas also the long tongs he use for food he also use for the toilets when clogged up.Nothing is really vegetarian because they cross contaminated everything. I worked here and left before the place is a mess health department need to SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN

I hate to post anything negative, but at the same time I also want others to not get disappointed/ripped off … I’ve been going here since the place opened in 1995. In the last few years, everything had been so stale, plus, apparently owners tell employees not to give out napkins, even if someone asks for more than one. I just got my order, prime time on a Friday evening. This time, I asked the order taker what was the freshest right now, told her a lot the bad experiences going on there for a while … it’s a bummer to come and have stale chips and food. She didn’t know so I got my usual, a taco and a chalupa. Both were so bad and I didn’t finish. I asked for an extra napkin, lol .. which she said she gave me, but when I opened bag, there was only one. Used to be decent, terrible now. Save your money.

Surprised that I haven't paid this place a visit before! The service was fast and very friendly. The food was good and with decent sized portions. The menu is diverse and there are plenty of vegetarian options. Right now you can dine outside, inside, or go to the drive through. The ambience is very inviting with oldies music on the overhead speakers. Bathrooms were clean. This would also be a great place to bring kids. I will definitely return.

Good food and great customer service! We ordered online and they made a mistake and added chicken to one of the Vegan items we ordered. I drove back and Andy went above and beyond to make it right. He really made sure I was completely satisfied and added more stuff I did not asked for. The food was really good!

Nachomama's is a St. Louis classic at this point. The food is always good, and the staff is always friendly. I've been eating here for nearly three decades and would recommend their Tex-Mex to friends and family. Crunchy taco platter with beans and rice and a side of chips and salsa for the win!

I'm giving this place 4/5 stars. My wife ordered a burrito bowl, and asked for no pico de gallo, sub sour cream. They added pico and forgot sour cream, and another person in line had to go back for the same thing. The chips were almost stale. Aside from those two things there really isn’t anything to complain about. It’s a self serve Tex-mex style. Order at counter and wait for name to be called. The portions are decent, seemed a lot to me like a Chipotle or Qdoba. Overall good experience. Indoor and outdoor seating, extra parking in back. Kid friendly.

Good food, tacos were just a little too hot. Customer should be the one to spice up the heat on the tacos themselves. The tamale was just right however. Have loved this place since it was a dive with mismatched tables when it looked like a hole in the wall spot.

This is not bad for quick service Mexican. My wife loves the burritos here but I am not a big fan of their fajitas. They have outside seating which is really nice and can fit a large party.

I know the name can put some people off. It doesn't matter because this place is great. This restaurant took over an old Popeyes many many years ago and decorated in a really fun way. Nachomamas is a great casual place to get some good Mexican food and margaritas. They serve chips and a terracotta pot and the handmade guacamole is really good. They have a nice outside seating area too. I hope you enjoy this neighborhood favorite.

Been coming here since the 90s. Love this place. Will never hold the high turnover employees against a small business like this. My advice to people who have a less than stellar experience with a cashier & rush to emote about it through a review, get over yourself. We need local restaurants like this to make our city great.

I placed an order for a fish burrito at the drive thru. Upon my arrival home, I discovered that I'd been given a shrimp burrito. I have experienced communication difficulties in the drive thru in the past. I've had to return orders due to receiving the wrong type of burrito. Since the staff recited my order back to me, I figured I didn't need to double check before leaving. The shrimp were inedible. They were prepared in form of the glutinous muck you see pictured. After separating the uncooked shrimp from the remnant of the burrito, my stomach ached and my body rejected my consumption efforts. If the aforementioned image looks appetizing to you, then Nacho Mama's will tickle your fancy and digestive system. Just make sure you run to Walgreens first and pick up some mylanta and kaopectate.

We have driven past this establishment several times and always wanted to try it. We finally decided to try it on a Taco Tuesday. When we arrived it was busy but we were able to find a table next to a rather large group. Come to find out later, it was the owner’s family. When we went to sit at the only table available we had to move a school book and tray that had been pushed over to our table. There were 3-4 children with the party that had spilled something all over the floor. The children were yelling at each other. I needed to use the restroom but the children were running in and out of the restroom and playing in there. And the adults just seemed to allow this behavior. As I said we had never been there before. We didn’t know the process for ordering food. The girl at the counter was rude and didn’t explain anything. Once our food was ready. My spouse went to pick up our food from the counter and who we assume to be the mother of these children was arguing with one of the children and my spouse said excuse me twice to the woman while carrying two trays of food and the woman never moved nor apologized for the inconvenience. I understand this is their business and they can do what they choose. But this unfortunate experience has left us very disappointed. We will not be returning and wanted to warn others.
