📍 Los restos de una basílica paleocristiana. No se conserva ningún muro completo pero si las bases de algunas columnas así como la pila bautismal y un buen montón de tumbas, los restos de estas se encuentran en el museo de Málaga. Sorprendentemente aún resisten algunos restos sueltos de pintura en algunos pedazos de muro. Recomiendo completamente la visita y no perdáis la oportunidad de dejar que el guía os explique sobre toda su historia. La visita es completamente gratuita aunque con un horario algo ajustado.

Well protected and enclosed but needs some TLC to show it at its best. Set back from the sea, well worth a visit but check the opening times.

Lol, I don't agree with rating archaeological sites, it's bizarre! They would all get top marks if it were up to me as they are a legacy worth preservation. This site has been cleared and had a viewing deck added. The caretaker and guide is extremely knowledgeable and was kept busy showing around us and other visitors.

The site was a regular interesting historical/religious site but the guide in there worked with passion and explained a lot without being intrusive!

Godziny otwarcia 11- 14, ale to jeden z najstarszych archeologicznych przejawów wczesnego chrześcijaństwa w Hiszpanii datowany na IV w. Wyjątkowa jest kamienna chrzcielnica w kształcie krzyża, zabezpieczona szybą. Prowadzone od 1915 roku prace archeologiczne odsłoniły plan bazyliki i otaczającej ją nekropolii, w której znajdujowało się ponad 180 pochówków różnego typu. Dzięki archeologom trafiły do muzealnych pudełek. Z grobów archeolodzy wykopali także gliniane naczynia, klejnoty, monety i tablice epigraficzne, do obejrzenia w Narodowym Muzeum Archeologicznym, Muzeum Prowincjonalnym i ratuszu Marbelli.
