Spectacular temple with very wide, practically cathedral-like naves, a large altarpiece (whose restoration years ago restored spectacularity to the complex) and a wonderful tabernacle chapel, unique without a doubt for its majesty and singularity. Emblem of the city of Lucena and reference of the countryside.

Aside from the religious context, the parish brings together a large number of impressive antique carvings, paintings and artistic articles that, very well detailed, are worth contemplating. I liked it a lot 👍🏼

The church of San Mateo. It is the largest and best preserved temple of those built at the beginning of the 16th century in the Córdoba countryside. Mixture of baroque, Romanesque and Renaissance styles. To highlight the impressive Baroque style Sagrario chapel. Located in front of the town hall, it is an essential stop for anyone who wants to know the monumental wealth of Lucena.

Wow! With a simple façade although with beautiful doorways and a prominent bell tower, this temple was erected on the ruins of the main synagogue of Lucena since there was an unusual Hebrew majority here. Once the original Lancualnap was demolished, it was hardly used; in fact, it is said to be a 16th century building, incorporating in the 18th century the spectacular Chapel of the Sagrario, which is a TRUE WONDER OF ANDALUSIAN BAROQUE. It is a must-see temple in the city of Lucena.

(Translated by Google) Wonderfully decorated church worth visiting. The grandeur of its dome and altarpiece stands out.

(Translated by Google) The temple is wonderful with some impressive images. The Sacristan is borderline, he does not sympathize with people, the times we have spoken with him we have received horrible treatment. I give 5 stars because the temple is fantastic but the sacristan should change it...
