The staff are wonderful. Very clean hotel. 20 minutes walk to the Balcon and around 12 minutes to a beautiful beach. We had a lovely view of the town and beach very large balcony with table chairs and sun loungers.

Close to town but a long walk if you have kids or you're not keen on walking. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine, had lunch and dinner in town, so can't comment on the evening meals. I enjoyed my stay there.

Room was small and noisy when entertainment on in bar as right above it. Clean room but very tired looking and needs modernising. Bed was very hard and pillows not nice. Food in dining area was same every day.chicken, pork, fish and salad.not to mention the deserts being the same every evening (see photo)We paid for the gala Christmas dinner but were very disappointed. Basic lettuce & walnut salad mostly lettuce as starter or choice of 1 soup & Main was Just turkey, 3 Brussel sprouts, boiled new potatoes and gravy followed by a chocolate pudding. 2 crackers between 4 of us & wine. WiFi did not work in our room. Noisy air con in room. Spa was ok but no sauna or steam room. Very basic and dated. Only few English channels on TV but most of them had no sound or pixelated. Good points were lots of hot water although one evening the water was cold as the hotel had a problem but sorted it out quickly. Lots of pressure in shower. We had a lovely view from our balcony which was a fair size, overlooking pool and part sea view. Rooms cleaned every day and clean towels. We had a kettle which was a bonus as I didn't like the machine coffee in dining room. Although no tea, coffee provided in room. Small fridge provided in room. Hair dryer supplied. There is a safe in room but we didn't use it as you had to pay. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Recently revamped. The bar area has been modernised and expanded and referred to as a sports bar. The sun terrace is the best around - full sun all day. I didn't stay at the hotel this trip, just visited a couple of times for drinks and food. The staff are the same aswel. Been visiting for 10 years.

The worst nights sleep I have ever experienced due the beds being seemingly made of Lego. If it wasn't a backache or ribache it was headache. We cut the holiday short by 2 days due to lack of sleep. The hotel itself is nice hence any stars at all. Even though we were half board we were not served drinks at dinner, only breakfast. If we wanted a drink we had to buy one from the hotel. There was 1 solitary sign declaring that guests were not allowed to bring drinks into the dining hall unless bought from the hotel. This sign was in a lift that we never used and so we were unaware. The staff were quick to embarrass us in front of other guests to inform us of the drink rule. There were many signs declaring that guests should not reserve sun loungers but we had to wait until gone 5pm to get one due to selfish guests doing exactly that and staff did nothing to stop it because there was no financial gain for them. Over all I would say book elsewhere if you want to be treated like a guest and not a cash cow. Also if you want a comfortable night's sleep just kip on the pavement.

Had a nice spacious room with a large balcony. Room was kept clean but sheets were not changed in the week we were there. Bar is very nicely kept. Beer reasonably priced but shorts quite expensive. Good at happy hour! The let down is the food. Very boring with pork and casseroles every night. Pudding equally mundane with same cake and jelly every night. Breakfast saved only by the great scrambled egg! Will not be returning.

The Hotel was beautifully clean the standard of the cleaning of the rooms was excellent they changed the sheets nearly every day. The staff where always smiling and couldn't do enough for you. The Hotel was on a hill so if you had walking difficulties may be a problem. It was local to two supermarkets.we found the food very good. We feel for what we paid for the holiday it was very good value We would certainly return here without a doubt.

The hotel was clean & very well kept, however the food was absolutely appalling. The first three evening we had the exact same dishes, the chicken was pink, the salad dry & the fruit was extremely ripe.Myself & my parents were here for ten days & that whole time the soup never changed. I did approach the only waitress that seemed to be working single handed during dinner & asked her to tell the chef the food was very bad. We were here on half board & although drinks were available in this package at breakfast all drinks at dinner time we had to pay for. In conclusion if your looking at losing weight by not eating this is the hotel for you.

Good value - we opted to pay an extra 21 Euro each to upgrade from B&B to half-board for a full week! Staff were friendly - we had two small issues with our room both of which were sorted same day 👏 Food was fairly good - only had one time where sprouts were undercooked. Also would suggest keeping the trolley in the kitchen area (out of sight) rather than in the dining area. Bit of a hike to walk into town centre (25 mins) - but there’s a bus (Line 1) at half-past the hour, every hour (not during siesta) which you can catch outside the Carrefour supermarket opposite the hotel. Only costs 1 Euro. Drinks reasonably priced for a hotel (happy hour 5 -7). Overall we were left with plenty of cash to eat out, enjoy life etc.

Had an excellent room this visit. The owners are actively looking to upgrade facilities - new looking dining room, reception, bar area. New equipment in gym area. Indoor Spa area ideal to relax in

Beauty and the beast where do we start a quint hotel with a beautiful pool terrace area tad small albeit booked in as half board first morning at breakfast was so disappointed asked for gluten free bread and was told I had to go to reception and ask for it there? Food was below average, the evening meal was no better warm if not cold food not recomended we never came back for food absolutely rubbish walk to nerja town was arduous at 68 but we perserveered bar didn't impress happy hour typical 5-7pm 1 barman 40-50 drinkers served Spanish before paying guests my wife drank wine spritzer with draft lemonade (fine) then after happy hour nott allowed draft lemonade only bottles of 7up£££ all in all poor at best will we return at the hotel no

Room was probably the worst in the hotel, that wasn't the issue -- every time the hallway opened, it squeaked loudly, enough to wake up the dead. I asked it to be lubricated but never got done. The food for breakfast was mediocre at best. Staff was nice, pool unheated, crowds of people and their sound carried. Better rooms would be better than mine.

After reading some reviews, I was a little concerned. However, I need not have been. The rooms are spotlessly clean, staff courteous, and helpful. Lovely quiet hotel food is good. However, as the cost of this holiday was less for us than in week in Devon last year we are happy to eat out in the evening. Thank you for our relaxing holiday. we have only on day 1 of 10 so happy to be here. BEWARE however happy hour from 5 till 7 can lead to drunkeness 😆😆😆

Great 10 day holiday, everything very clean & majority of staff very good. Better than expected for a 3 star hotel, although some areas in need of being updated. Would definitely stay again if returning to this area.

Hotel a little far from town centre, but 10mins walk to beach, with a tough hill to navigate on return. Hotel was spotlessly clean, and the staff very friendly. Breakfast was a typical Spanish buffet, never really right for our fussy diets.😄😄. Had two issues with the room, shower head was leaking & fridge was not working,(needed for medication). Both were sorted while we were out on the day of informing reception..👏👏.

Great hotel food so so. Don't get a pizza undercooked. It's a bit far out of the town but ok if you can walk. That's the only reason we wouldn't stay there. Plus you can hear people going to their toilet walls are thin

The sports bar and its staff are excellent, however the food was inedible. Cheap ingredients which a 3 star hotel should be embarrassed to offer customers. We said to the barman who apologised, but the waitress didn't seem to find it surprising the food was left. We won't be eating here again.

This hotel is on the outskirts of town. It is a short walk to the beach and old town. Buses and taxis are available if required. Staff are friendly and helpful. View from the pool terrace is great. New sports bar with reasonable prices is fantastic. Food, buffet style and was good. Always a fish and meat (chicken or pork) course. Plenty of salad and vegetables. Great value for money stay in a lovely hotel.

Very clean hotel both in and out. Rooms made up each day if desired. The pool is a good size. Mid Oct the time of my visit the hotel was quiet, as l prefer it. Food, plentiful, wide range of choices. Bar staff very friendly, good English spoken if required The spa area consists of a small gym area, a jacuzzi and l wouldn’t call it an indoor swimming pool as they advertise, it’s more of a plunge pool with jets of water, great for working on those tired back muscles. I got the sessions free with my booking, not sure l would pay for additional sessions however.

Overall, hotel is nicely done up. Poor quality breakfast. They said up to 10 am for breakfast. Everything was switched of at 10. Toaster, juice machine, and toaster. People bring in their own banana and kiwi. Black boiled eggs. When I approached the chef, he opened it up to see a tiny bit of yellow and then said perfection. OMG. Rooms needing done up. Sun curtain needing replaced. Bathroom large and in need of storage. Had to keep toiletries in the bedroom. Key for safe €40. Disgrace. If safe in your room, why charge!!! Breakfast used 2 out of 7 days. Awful.

Lovely little hotel, however all the reviews I read before we went were all correct.some rooms very small with little storage space, everything clean enough, not enough sun loungers or space around pool, food just about average and a 25min walk to town centre.not really a lot in area around hotel.

Rooms are fine and well maintained, but most of the other areas of the hotel need a big injection of cash the outside appearance is shabby and does not look appealing. Pool furniture is broken or in a poor condition. Staff are polite and do a good job. Food is no more than average at best. Location of the hotel is the biggest issue need to be either be very fit or young to get anywhere. Would not recommend this hotel at all not impressed one bit. I understand that tui are aware of most of my points as I am one of many who make the same comments but still continue to send people to this substandard hotel and must take some of the blame for issues around my disappointing hotel.

A great 3 star hotel could not fault it. Great value for money a bar, restaurant, spa, swimming pool and sunbeds. We were bed and breakfast and value for money you would find it hard to beat

hotel and staff very good rooms very clean balcony a bit small for two.Food quality and choice very limited desserts were boring the same every night for 3 weeks.Large groups of customers did take over the pool and sunbathing areas with meetings during the day and drinking/ in the pool until 4am.People that had been there before some up to 12 times had never encounter such large groups?Again the staff were amazing couldn't do enough for you

Good for a 3 star. Food OK bit repetitive but edible. Entertainment bit out of date songs about 60 year old. Around a 20 min walk to the town downhill. Same fir the beach hard going in the sun.

We great service and care whilst at the hotel its a lovley small hotel but has a great vibe lovley pool area and very friendly staff. The only draw back of my stay had nothing to do with the hotel. But my partner who hadn't been away since lockdown found the change of location affected his dementia

Currently staying here, its our 2nd visit the first being 4 years ago. What is still very disappointing is the lack of umbrellas, ONLY 11!!! There is no other shade when sunbathing round the pool, and the 11 umbrellas that are available get reserved by guests as early as 9am, who set up and then disappear, leaving guests who want to relax and sun without the opportunity to sit under shade. The sunloungers are all broken, the plastic underneath the yellow cover is broken. Beyond uncomfortable, had to buy a quilted topper and another towel just to be able to lie without feeling like I was lying on concrete. Come on Club Nerja, everything else is great but you really need to invest in new sunloungers and MANY MORE umbrellas !

Great hotel in super location. We were half board and the food was varied and plentiful. Really enjoyed our stay here. Staff are lovely, rooms spacious and it's good to get a small fridge and kettle. Happy hour great fun then followed by cocktails on the large Verandah. Would really recommend this hotel. Great value for money.

The hotel Nerja Club has been refurbished and it looks very light and modern. I love the location as its quiet around the pool and lounge and if you hire a car, there's easy access to the motorway with parking at the front of the hotel. It's quite a walk to the town and beaches but it's downhill and a cab back for 2 is approx 8 euros.

No entertainment whatsoever, not even any music playing, very boring at night with nothing to do, suits older people with one foot in the grave, not suitable for people that still enjoy a good time whilst on holiday...sorry Nerja Club & Spa but we shall not be returning!☹️life is stressful enough...fun it up you're not dead yet!!🙄if you think Neil Phillips is entertainment then I'm afraid you're very deluded, try a bit of karaoke as there are people out there that can actually sing!!!😒the food is edible & that's about it, thank goodness there's a Mercadona supermarket smack next door!

Its a nice family run 3 star hotel but location lets it down for me to many steep steps and few handrails

  • 5/5 Hannah A. 1 year ago on Google
Staff are so kind ,friendly and accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble. Room is cleaned every day and is spotless. Great location to supermarket ( 2 min walk) 15 min walk to the beautiful town. Nothing to fault, beautiful location and value for money . Super!.

I do not recommend the place at all!! I were with my child there last week, from 16 to 23. I noticed the first day that someone sneezed at dinner, after in the morning , at breakfest, i heard people coughing , later on the terase as well, from their balcony to. Nobody told me to be carefull because are sick people there!! after two days I started to cough, then to have a fever, muscle pains, a cough that feels like it's tearing my lungs and I eliminate it very often...I wasn't warned by anyone, how is it possible to know that the people in the hotel are sick and not to warn customers???? at least the rooms were taken care of

Our holiday was ruined by a waiter called Josè. We were accused 3 times in front of many people of leaving the restaurant without paying for the wine, the security cameras showed otherwise. I asked only for an apology from the waiter. The hotel director and restaurant manager both told me l would get an apology from José, I'm still waiting.......

Clean & comfortable and the food/service was wonderful. We were out every day and consequently didn't use many of the facilities, however, we would return again.

The staff are the stars of the show here, plus the location. 10 mins from the bus station, for reliable routes to Frigiliana and other places, and about 15 mins from Balcon, and 10 mins from Burriana beach (downhill, so uphill back!) and handy for the caves of Nerja. Very clean, bedroom was perfect, just what I needed for a walking break near Nerja.

The welcome we received and the complete friendliness of the staff made us feel really comfortable. The room was clean and comfortable and perfectly adequate for our needs. It is the food that is so special. Honestly, I loved it. The choice, variety and...taste. Wow!
