Lovely pub in a beautiful part of North Yorkshire. Had a couple of meals with them while also staying in their holiday let, Sunset Cottage. That's where the photo is taken from in fact. One evening I had an amazing ham hock and battered black pudding, who would have guessed that was a starter made in heaven. Last day we had freshly cooked pizza from their wood fired oven. Brilliant. Well worth a visit, with a nice drive in through some great countryside, friendly staff and good food. Always a decent pint of Timothy Taylor as well.

Gorgeous traditional Yorkshire pub outside of York, close to Malton. We ordered the fillet steak and ham hock. Both came impeccably cooked with some really impressive sides. Didn't get chance to sample the drinks as I was driving, but it certainly seemed to have a good selection of both ales and spirits. Highly recommend this place for the quality of the food Vs it's price. The food was perfectly seasoned, presented beautifully and the staff were both welcoming and attentive to anything we need. Definitely coming back again. The menu regularly changes, so call first to check what the latest offerings are!

Great pub! Food was excellent, service was great, friendly patrons. Dog welcome. Prawn cocktail, pork belly was divine!! Apparently so is the black pudding, salmon and the steak! Highly recommend the Jolly Farmer Inn.

I have past this pub to and from work for quite a while and always said to my other half we need to go and we now have, fantastic atmosphere warm and friendly other customers Food looked great , bar staff brilliant and a laugh also.

Amazing little (well quite big but cosy) pub nestled in the Wolds! Food from small plates (also not so small) but absolutely delicious, great selection of drinks through to fantastic service oh and a delicious Sunday roast too..... Beautiful place! Highly recommend a visit. They have a lovely family dining room which was perfect for our active 2 & 1 year old. They even have a ramp for easy access for everyone! Get yourselves there - but do book for food!

Food was great and tasty! Staff were friendly. Definitely should have booked as very busy. A little pricey for what we got but that’s just our opinion however we would definitely return for all the positives!

It's a little bit run down in some areas, but the very friendly welcome, from both staff and other customers, more then make up for any decorative shortcomings. All the food we had (see pictures) was absolutely gorgeous, and, while not cheap, was very good value. The drinks are a very fair price too. I cant recommend The Jolly Farmer Inn highly enough. A must visit if you are anywhere near the area.

Lovely & welcoming pub! Really nice food and quick service. Very dog friendly, too!
