I’ve been looking for new restaurants to try and this place literally could not have been more perfect. We picked a few things to try and they gave us samples of things we didn't order and it was all DELICIOUS but I'll specifically be coming back for the sample items which were the bean soup and fried mac bites with whatever sauce that was omg! We also tried the garlic noodles with shrimp, plantains, & beef patties which were again delicious. Very happy I tried this place and I highly recommend!!!

A MUST !! this is absolutely the best place I’ve been. Amazing food, the service is even better. The waitresses are extremely nice, knowledgeable, and give great service. Lots of healthy options, including vegan and vegetarian. You have to stop here if you are around. You’ll be positively surprised.

We had the crab cakes, fritters, and the bean soup. Everything was remarkable. Honestly one of the better crab cakes I've ever had and coupled with the aioli sauce it's even better. The fritters were surprising as the sauce drizzled over it provided a sweet and almost smokey taste. From now on we will probably always order the fritters. The bean soup was the most shocking. I'm not one for beans but this was something else. It was savory, sweet, and oddly relaxing. I highly recommend the bean soup whenever and especially when the cold comes. Staff are super kind as well. I cannot recommend higher.

The staff was kind and the service was excellent. We were given a sample of the stew and it was amazing. We ended up ordering a lot of options and everything was delicious.

This is happy food. Each dish is a flavor bomb bursting with deep flavors. I have had their garlic noodles with shrimp, stew and shrimp and grits. All these were heaven to the senses. If your shopping at Target or Trader Joe's stop by and give them a try. The staff is warm and welcoming. You'll leave happy from the inside out. Just had the onion rings for the first time. Simply put the best I’ve had!! The aoli and homemade ketchup is a complement.

I just happened to be walking by and saw this great place. The food is delicious! The seasoning is perfectly spicy and the plantains were the perfect texture. We are island people so whenever we find great Caribbean food we tell everyone we know. The owners are super nice too! This will be my go-to place when I don't have time to cook.

Look no further!! The food is amazing, so many incredible vegan options, friendly staff, awesome vibe, affordable prices. They also give you a free sample of their bean soup if you're new. Honestly the whole time we were talking about how great the food was. Highly recommend. 🙌💕

The food and service were both excellent. Friendly people, amazing food. We had the chicken bowl, garlic noodles with shrimp, fries, and the bread pudding. All of it was just delicious! There are also vegan and gluten free options on the menu. Cannot recommend this place enough.

I usually don't write reviews for restaurants but I HAD to!!!! Grilled Fraiche is SOOOOOOOOO delicious!!! Omg...the flavor was AMAZING, it's a taste from the Caribbean!!!!!!!... The options were healthy and fulfilling and the prices are unbelievable for the quality and amount of food you receive!!! Salute to the chief!!!! Thank you to the young lady hosting, serving and taking orders...she was pleasant and had a beautiful smile and demeanor!!!!! I write this as I overhear the couple next to me tell her, "This was AWESOME!!!" You HAVE to come try Grilled Fraiche in Long beach, I guarantee you will leave satisfied and excited to return and try the other items on the menu!! I know I will!!!! Wonderful!!!! Thank you!!!

Wow. Just wow. What a gem. I was shocked to find that this place has a perfect 5 star review. After eating here I see why. I got the chicken bowl with brown rice and jerk sauce. Every bite was fresh and delicious and perfectly cooked. The staff was smiling and friendly and laughing together. This felt like a home cooked meal in a restaurant. Absolutely one of the best meals I've had this year. And it's almost December.

Wow. This place is amazing! Great ambience, welcoming staff, and delicious food. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted and offered a sample of their believe stew. I inhaled the sample and decided to order a large portion with the crab cakes. They also offered a patty of my choice (I chose jerk chicken) since I was a new costumer. Everything was so good! The crab cakes are good on their own, but even better with the white dipping sauce. Unfortunately, there was a bone in my patty, so I'd realistically give this place 4.5 stars. However, the quality of the food and the customer service warrant the round up to 5 stars.

The food was so delicious! I didn't realize food could taste so good. They had a lot of vegan and vegetarian options. They even had a vegan cheese for the tacos. I tried the stuffed rolls, crab cakes (chickpea based/vegan), tacos, believe stew, and fried plantains. All the items were delicious. I want to go back and get other options. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. I would definitely go back. I just ate there and I already want more. Go support an awesome local business!

Had the best lunch at this place. The food was outstanding and the team there were so positive and thoughtful. Don’t see a lot of that anymore but this place has it down.

Fantastic lunch, great portion size and really reasonable price. I was very happy with my salmon bowl with house sauce, and they suggested the vegan dream sauce to my friend who enjoyed it too. The only complaint is there is stuff on the menu that is probably gluten free, and not marked as such. It would be nice if sauces and stuff had those listed

We stopped by after a visit to Trader Joe’s (next door) and ordered take out. The food was delicious! My mom loved the noodles with the lemon sauce were incredible. The bean soup was also creamy and delicious. We are already looking forward to the next visit. Highly recommend.

Wow their food is soooo yummy!! Those vegan crab cakes though… absolutely delicious!! Also, the people who own and run this place are absolute ANGELS!! I walked in for my first time just to check it out because my boyfriend had mentioned they had vegan food, I was not sure what to get and the lady at the front was so hopeful and kind :) I decided to get the vegan crabcakes and since it was my first time there she offered to give me a vegetable bowl on the house! Good people, with good hearts and good food :) excited to go back

I’ve been to 3 of the Grilled Fraiche locations and each has its own thing I like. What I like about the Long Beach location is the healing energy you feel when you walk in—thanks to the thoughtful and uplifting quotes. The essential oils diffuser, the subtle candles, mildly upbeat music, and flora inspired decor all provide a homey feeling. The service was outstanding—from our attentive and prompt server Marley to the chef Angelica. They make sure you get exactly what you like and that it is to your liking. They also provide excellent recommendations. Don’t get me started on the food!!! Their menu has options for the meat lover (such as myself), those who prefer plant based foods, and everything in between. I especially loved the patties (we tried the spinach, curry chicken, and spicy barbecue chicken) and the oxtail. I couldn’t decide which I liked more between the classic shrimp and grits I got and the shrimp and salmon croquettes my fiancée got. They have a selection of sauces for every taste palette. I also like that you can sit down if you want or get your food to go. I recommend this spot.

I was floored by the food here the oxtail bowl I had was cooked to perfection, I could cut the oxtails with a fork they were so tender, with Jasmine rice and fresh veggies with a plantain also. Pictures don't do this bowl justice, it was wider and deeper than my grandma's gumbo bowls. They also have a Jerk sauce that you have to try, it adds a nice kick to your meal and you don't need to use the whole container. My friends had the shrimp and grits, and the grilled salmon on noodles. They loved every bite, highly recommend this restaurant. It was clean, the service was good, and the staff made me feel comfortable. A great experience.

The believe stew with peas in coconut milk is so good, oh my. Pretty much anything in coconut milk is delicious. Had the Shrimp Enchiladas, I think I ordered the salmon on Uber eats but I got shrimp was still delicious full of flavor and the special sauce even better. The bread pudding was so good. Keep it up, excellent food.

Wonderful casual atmosphere, very nice interior design, and the food was great. I had the shrimp and grits, I also tried the believe stew, both were delicious. The staff was very nice and helpful. Overall a great meal!

OMGGGG This place is amazing !! High quality food and excellent customer service . I had the opportunity to try the veggie bowl with the house sauce and my husband had the oxtail and grits. We were both blown away by the flavors ! Will definitely be back and recommend !

Incredible product. Food was really good and there's not much Caribbean food out there. Everything on the menu is fairly unique. It might have just been our server who made our experience so good but she gave us a sample of their bean stew, which was incredible. Then after we got our food, she knew we were interested in the sauces, so she brought out a few different sauces for us to try with our meal. All the sauces are pretty incredible. The one with mayo is a little to Mayo heavy for me though. I definitely recommend going half-and-half with the dream sauce and the jerk sauce.
