This darling little restaurant has the touch of "family owned" that I haven't seen in soooooo long. The first time here, the daughter took her time to help me as I was was explaining that I wanted a fish burrito. (Pero no hay). The menu item I ordered was similar but way better... a Fish Tronquito. Yes this place is a fusion of Salvadoran, Mexican, American with unique menu items. Wow. It was amazing! 😋 😋 😋 😋 Yummy!! The size is very generous and they cut the Tronquito in half. My husband was more interested in saving a seat outside in the patio and just said order me a chicken bowl. He never orders "bowls". So when he tasted mine, lol, he ate the other half!!! Truly it was that good (in addition to his Chicken bowl). LOL! 🤣😂 Also I had guacamole and sour cream. Their spicy hot sauce has a great kick to it! Love it. 😝❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 My friend ordered #27 chicken >> Enchilada, Taco Dorado, and Taco Placero, and he enjoyed it, too! So you order and sit and they bring the order to you and wait on you. What a giving family. Son, daughter, and Mama owner. They asked us many times if we needed anything. Can I tell you about us ordering some lemonade? They referred me to a deliciously hand made fusion of cucumbers, 🍋 lemons and some propreitary recipe. It had some fresh green something or other as well. Whatever it is, it is so refreshing, delicious, and something I could drink daily. A perfect blend. Coming from San Diego the owner and I hit it off. She's a sweety and gave me more for the road. Now there is a fried banana dessert with powered sugar sprinkled on the side, which is so wonderful too! She gave that to us on the house as well. I am so wonderfully favored!!! All fresh ingredients, made that day to order. Nothing is frozen to microwave or frozen to defrost to cook. It's fresh. Veggies, fruit, and meat. What a refreshing place! 😍

Peak customer service, never experienced it as good as this. A MUST try and guarantee you'll be coming back for more, I know I will! We had the delicious pupusas: one chicken, one revuelta and one frijoles con queso, all delicious. We also tried the torta de Pollo, which if I weren't already dead set on trying the chilaquiles next time I would get this for sure. Husband had the Walter Frys and loved them. Watermelon Agua was chefs kiss. The owner is incredibly sweet and welcome and also one of the chefs. Amazing all around!

Came looking for Salvadoran fusion cuisine and that's exactly what I got. I tried El Volcán and it was delicious! El Volcán is a Pupusa Revuelta with a scrambled egg, rice and beans, and your choice of meat. The Chef and Owner is very friendly and attentive as were the waitress. Personally I will come again to try more from the menu. I highly recommend this place. Don't expect your typical Salvadorean dish as this is meant to be different.

Chef Yanira won me over. You can't help but love her with her exuberant smile and presence. The food ... oh man, the food is made to order and oh so damn delicious. Everything was fresh and piping hot, like a home cooked meal. GET THEIR FISH TACOS. I think it's the best fish tacos I've ever had - perfectly crispy and then fish has such bounce in texture. Their shrimp coctel was also good and had a nice kick to it. Service is also great - my glass of water was never empty. Venue has outdoor and indoor seating - can accommodate one large party but most tables are set for 2-4 people. At the end of the meal, Chef Yonita told us that she would be providing free meals for patrons on Thanksgiving. She said, "I'm not rich or have a lot of money, but I have a lot of love," and proceeded to give us free bags of chips and agua fresca. Support businesses like these! Feed your stomach and your soul!

Life-changing restaurant. I came here after a trying day of work on a Saturday and my troubles were lifted off my shoulders on a flavorful papusa cloud. The food was incredible and the service even better. The head chef spotted my colleague a papusa, glowing with pride knowing they’re the best restaurant within 50 miles. Chilaquiles: adventurous and savory; Papusas: you’ll never go back to pancakes or empanadas without longing for Salvador; Agua Fresca: the perfect combo of the light watermelon with some citrus tartness. 12/10

We ate at here a few months ago while on vacation, and it was some of the best food I have ever had! And the owner is one of the sweetest women ever. Felt like we were family being welcomed in her home. If you find yourself in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in for a meal, you will not regret it! I will for sure be going back on the next trip in LA.

Visiting LA for a few days and found this place from google maps. Loved what the reviews said so I decided to try it. Oh my goodness I was not disappointed. The food is incredible and so flavorful. The iced coffee I ordered was in a huge mason jar and so delicious. The owner is so sweet too. She came up to me and thanked me for supporting her business during covid. Definitely will be coming back to this little hidden gem.

Pretty expensive for this kind of food. $25 for a breakfast tronquito and an agua Fresca. The food was tasty; however I've had a much tastier $18 version of this at cilantro Mexican grill in North Hollywood. That place is legendary and highly recommended and this place is instead good. Staff was super friendly, and I feel pretty lethargic and fat after eating here, but overall I had a good time. I noticed the price for the breakfast tronquito for pick up is $13 not sure why I paid more in person.

Everything was amazing and clearly made with love. We had a small miscommunication with what was ordered and the owner handled it very well

THIS PLACE IS FIRE. Want to say thank you to Yanira for taking care of us. The food was really good and aguas frescas were delicious. It’s a little pricey, but worth every penny.

I happened on this spot after my flight! Had an amazing time the owner is super friendly and I felt like I was right at my Tias house. Not only was she super nice but the food was amazing, I’m from NYC we know a lot about food haha! Definitely worth a spot as you’re leaving or entering LA :)

Made with love. Phenomenal service and incredible food. Fresh, made to order and customized. They pour love into your meal and it comes through with every bite. A joyful and welcoming atmosphere, you can tell this team cares about your experience and is proud of their work--as they should be-- they are top notch. High quality in all regards.

If I could give them 6 stars for service, I absolutely would. The food and the restaurant are both amazing on their own. But the women operating the place are the sweetest and most passionate restaurant owners I've ever encountered. They were attentive, kind and generous beyond belief. But it would be a disservice if I didn't mention the food. We had the breakfast wraps, fried bananas and tamales. All of which were perfect. Everything was made fresh with real ingredients and it pays off in the quality of the food. If I am ever in LA again, I will absolutely stop in again without hesitation.

I just had the most amazing experience in this restaurant. The owners treat you like you're a member of their family. The quality of the ingredients is unparalleled, and you can taste the love that the chef puts in every dish that comes out of the kitchen. If I find myself in LA again, this will be my first stop for food!

This is a great local eatery with a classic Latin American menu and a Chef that is amazing! Chef Yanira, thank you for your extraordinary hospitality & great food! I stopped by to look for ice cream for me and my nephew to my luck she had run out though was fortunate to be blessed with a Chipilin tamále, and one of chicken. Both delicious!

This place is incredible. The owner is so kind and generous. The food was freshly made and delicious. I ordered El Volcan and I loved it. The pupusa and rice and beans were on point. The names of the salsas are hilarious. I love this place. ❤️

I have never been more well taken care of in a restaurant in my entire life. The owner says she aims to treat her customers like family and she means it, what a lovely, kind soul! That’s in addition to the fact that the food was exceptional!

I’m so glad my husband suggested this place. The owner is so sweet and attentive! She even brought out a special meal for my toddler. She has had this place open for 8 years and the stars she gets she deserves! The customer service felt so unique and home-y. The food was very good! We had the volcano, chatacoffee and agua fresca. It was all so good we took the leftovers home! Can’t wait to go back again!

It was an incredible Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles and look how famous I am with the owner! This is used for breakfast and lunch every day.

I ADORE Chef Yanira and team! She has treated me like family since the first day my husband and I visited. But of course, it's the food that brings us back. It's my go-to whenever I have family and friends in town because everything is always so fresh and delicious (always a hit!). Namely: * Pupusas are a must! I like revueltas (carnitas, beans, cheese) or chorizo, potato and cheese * Gordita - what you wish every quesadilla you've had was like * Tronquito - when you're in the mood for a massive burrito with rice (they have a breakfast version, too); reminds me of the SF Mission-style burritos * Crazy Relajo Bowl - when you're in the mood to be a bit healthier * Aguas Frescas - mix all 3 flavors, no matter what they are that day * Pastelitos - when you are in the mood for a freshly fried deliciousness! They're much lighter than they seem like they'd be - sooo good, please try!

This place was amazingly good. My family and I had lunch here and we ordered a lot of different items and loved each one (Even had a American breakfast sandwich that was awesome). The quality was very good. Beyond that, the staff was so kind, helpful, and dealt with our large order. Just come here and enjoy.

Don't miss this place! Some of the best food in Los Angeles but the location is easy to miss. Food is homemade, fresh and delicious! The only reason we didn't go for 5 stars was because the guacamole didn't seem as good as the rest of the food and because things are made to order so you need to expect to get your food as it is ready and not all at the same time like you do in bigger establishments. We had the tronquito and the mini pupusitas and tacos dorados appetizer with a side of chips and salsa. Very filling and couldn't stop till we finished it all because it was so delicious! In addition, the staff was super friendly! Overall great place.

Outstanding brunch service and delicious cuisine: a fusion of Mexican, Salvadorian and American. The Horchata coffee is great. Great place for brunch with young kids.

My wife and daughter had lunch here the other day, and they couldn't stop telling me about the incredible dishes they enjoyed. They insisted on taking me for breakfast the next morning, so we went. All I can say is wow. My palate has never experienced such an ecstatic combination of flavors. I'm grateful to have grown up eating so many different Mexican and Central American foods thanks to my family, but I can confidently say that I've never had the pleasure of savoring such an appetizing fusion. I didn't expect anything remarkable when I took a sip out of my coffee, but I immediately noticed hints of warm nuts and spices. Every aspect of this place, from the food to the customer service, is unlike any other restaurant we've been to. This place is a gem. Truly a one-of-a-kind spot that rivals the best restaurants in LA and homemade family feasts (sorry mom and suegra).

I forgot to take a photo when the food arrived but it was very tasty! I got the plate that came with pupusas and taquitos and I loved the salsa and toppings. The flavors all went well together! The drinks were big and refreshing, I recommend getting the mix of the 3 aguas frescas.

TDLR: found my new fav. brunch spot! My friends and I originally were going to a different brunch spot and came upon this, and tried it out. The portion sizes here are out of control! We got full from one bite of pupusas but kept on grabbing for more. The owner is so sweet, and she treats her customers like her own children. She gave us large refills for our black coffees & extra side dishes! Return: Most definitely!
