I entered the lobby and immediately smelled a strong odor I then got closer to the front desk worker and discovered it wasn’t the lobby but it was actually HIM. He had extremely bad BO I don’t wanna be rude but I couldn’t believe it. Someone needs to tell him about it. He wasn’t rude or anything but WOW. Fox News was also BLARING on the TV in the lobby which was insane especially in a liberal town like Macon, but I would have been annoyed if CNN was playing too because it’s inappropriate regardless for a business to do that. If playing the news put on NBC, ABC, etc that could deter a lot of business or cause fights with guests! The segment was also about how racism basically doesn’t exist! Super classy and welcoming. I wanted to leave right there and then but I had no other option so I go to my room and my god it was disgusting. I literally slept with lights on because I feared roaches would appear in total darkness. AC also barely worked and without it the bad weird smell of the room would be too overpowering to ignore. There was grime everywhere, bedding had stains I could tell it wasn’t washed they just made the bed up, there was hair in bathroom, I felt I needed to shower after leaving! Only pro was that it was quiet and in a safe area but that is literally it. The hotel is DISGUSTING and they DONT CLEAN THE ROOMS.

The only good thing I have to say about the hotel is the location is really good. Other than that, there is nothing good about it. As soon as we walked in the lobby we were hit with a pretty bad smell, and a super loud lobby tv blaring where we could barely hear the person checking us in. When we got to our room it was also smelly, and looked dirty. The bathroom didn’t have any room to put any toiletries, it had a chair in there that was supposed to be white but looked dirty grey. We were too exhausted to complain or change rooms so we bit the bullet and stayed. The other thing (that isn’t that important) is that whomever painted the walls of the room must have had blindfolds on. Things that shouldn’t have been painted had paint. I’ll leave it at that. Basically, I don’t know how this hotel has a rating of 8.2/10. I think other customers were being too nice. Don’t bother staying here. It’s not worth it. EDIT TO RESPONSE: I don’t feel like this issue is the responsibility of housekeeping. Management or the owner has to actually show up and evaluate the poor condition of the hotel. There’s only so much housekeeping can do.

We stayed at this hotel twice in October. Once on our way North and once on our way South. We had a very enjoyable stay. The rooms were clean the place smelled fresh. The gentleman on duty when we checked in both times name was Jay. He was very accommodating. They do have a small breakfast available in the mornings. Typical hotel breakfast like fruit and coffee ,OJ, Danish, bagels that type of thing. We were both pulling a motorcycle trailer and there was plenty of room for parking without any issues.

Stopped here on the way to Fl. Check in was quick and the front desk guy was nice. At first glance the room was nice. 20 seconds in we realized it was grimy. The couch was very stained and dirty and the carpet was quite dirty too. The worst part was the a/c. It must have been 80 degrees when we walked in with the air set on 75. The setup of it is very lacking. The sitting area above the a/c is obstructing the airflow and the room never got cool enough. Too exhausted to find a different hotel, we had to try to stay cool. So ridiculous to have to deal with an a/c problem in a heatwave. I guess I should have researched better because the a/c seems to be an old issue that is not getting fixed.

I stayed at the hotel April 29 and it was very good. On my return trip home May 24 it was very different. My a/c did not cool very well and when the condenser kicked on it sounded like a lawn mower running. The carpet was very dirty, after walking across the room in my socks they were filthy. The curtain was falling off the rod. I could not find the tv remote, after searching everywhere I finally found it under the phone stand. The bathtub was dirty as were the waste paper baskets.

Hello all, Be warned. I am not one for leaving reviews, however my experience with the Microtel by Wyndham in Macon, GA compelled me to stand on the soap box. I had booked a reservation for 3 nights in April of 2023 as I was in town for a wedding. I realized when my flight landed that I never received a confirmation text/email which is common practice these days. I assumed that maybe it didn't process correctly so I called the front desk to confirm my reservation. After just providing my phone number and date range, they were able to confirm my stay and name for the reservation. I had asked about extending my stay by an extra night and adding the addition to my card on file however they said they could only guarantee the extra night after seeing what's available in-person which I thought was strange and not reassuring knowing I would be arriving late at night. After a busy day of wedding festivities I was exhausted, and arrived to check-in. I was frustrated as even though I had called earlier that day to confirm the reservation, they could not pull me up on their records. I didn't exist! Of course I didn't have an electronic reservation to prove my conversations earlier. This meant that instead of booking at the affordable rate I had locked in earlier I got to spend roughly $50 more a night than I had planned for the "in-person" booking. I was tired and just wanted a bed to sleep in at this point. After 20 minutes of processing payment and answering question, the computer gave the gentleman at the front desk problems so we switched to another front desk computer and went through the same questions/payment processing on another computer terminal for another 20 minutes. Around 3am I finally get to check-into my overpriced mediocre room. Fast forward to night two, I returned back to this hotel after another day of wedding festivities only to find that my room key-card does not work. I went back to the front desk for help and the representative was sleeping on a cot behind the desk. After 10 minutes of pleading for help and throwing pens through the tiny window hole to get his attention, I called the main number which woke him up. 3x attempts of trial/error to enter with the new car card and 30 minutes later I am back into my room and beyond frustrated with the customer service. The gentleman at the front desk have been "in-training" or it could be that bad systems are in place. Once I returned home, I called the corporate customer service line with Wyndham and they could not pull up my stay initially, as I wanted to reach out to leave my feedback prior to leaving this review. After my second call, I was connected with support that asked for the confirmation # said they would pass along my concerns to the site manager who would then call back within' 7 days to follow-up. This never happened. I was not expecting a 5-star hotel, however I had hoped that they would listen to my experience to ensure that the basics don't miss the mark for others. I would not recommend this hotel for pleasure or business unless they can fix the reservation and follow-through for customer experience. It will be worth your time to spend a little more money elsewhere and avoid the headache. Otherwise the accommodations were what you would expect and the room was cleanly.

Love the Tesla chargers! Bunches of them in the back. Nice comfy simple rooms for a quick nights rest. Bummer that all the equipment in the workout room was broken/ancient/unusable and the TV didn’t work. Would still gladly stay here again because of the chargers.

Price was great for a last minute change due to power outage at a different hotel. Decent breakfast selection, good location, comfy bed. It was a little unclean, the shower drain was a tad clogged so standing in my dirty water with a bit of someone else's wasn't pleasing. The staff was mostly friendly. It's a solid choice for $69.96 taxes and fees included on a Sunday night-monday morning.

We had booked another hotel in Macon that turned out to be sub parr, and after trying 2 different rooms gave up and looked for another hotel on line. Found Microtel, booked on line and was there in minutes. They had our reservation ready and we’re welcoming and all set. Breakfast was good too next morning. They are now on our list to go to anytime we need a hotel in the area

The picture of you is very quiet, a little out of the way, but is kept clean for the most part. The staff is really friendly but their process for checking in is extremely slow. The rooms aren't very large.

It is a very clean and convenient location for a quick stay while passing through. It is very easy to reach from the freeway. In addition, right up road there is a. Pharmacy Walgreens and several great places to eat. The location has numerous free EV charging stations for guests and a decent free breakfast bar. A very great stay for the value and very pet friendly with a nice dog walk area.

Safe small town area. Clean room and comfortable bed. Hate carpet in any room but nobody asks me. Desk clerk slow and seemed to be unhappy about getting up to wait on me. Good mid price one night stay.

Hotel built in a newer, upscale neighborhood, just off 75 with many restaurants & shops to choose from. We stayed one night, the end of July, the Crepe Myrtle trees were everywhere & in full bloom. The staff was friendly, free breakfast was good, & the room was very comfortable & clean. Would highly recommend.

Great place to stay with your fur baby. Staff was kind. Room was clean and comfortable. The only fault was the eating area for breakfast was on the same size. We stayed here again on our way home. After leaving in the morning and driving for 3 hours my husband discovered he left his wallet in the room. I called to let the hotel know, it was already being held at the front desk. Thanks to all of you and especially housekeeping for your honesty. Though there wasn't a large amount of cash in it, there were credit cards and other important items. Thank you thank you thank you.

Our room was newly renovated, which was nice. I would have given it 5 Stars had the fridge and coffee maker worked and if the toilet bowl was cleaned. I will stay there again, but will check the room before check- in.
