Nice atmosphere, drinks are good, spacious table. You can also get food when you get hungry. The curry we had was not too spicy, not thick, great for a light meal. I’m not a music fan so didn’t know what song was being played but I liked the whole experience. The music didn’t bother our conversation at all. Now I know where to walk in when feeling like drinking peacefully.

Such a lovely place. Chilled, laid back atmosphere with great music selection. Has a cover charge of ¥800 but told as seated and comes with selection of snacks. Drinks taste great and excellent service. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming to everyone.

Unassuming little cocktail bar around the corner from our hotel that played nice jazz music (no live band) and had a decent Whisky selection. Convenience was the main reason we came but we enjoyed the chill vibe so much we returned for a night cap the following day. Note that there’s a 600 yen cover charge per person unless you arrive during happy hour.

If you like jazz this place is great. They have legit LP records playing, and a great cozy atmosphere. Indeed there is a cover of about 500 Yen, having said that we quickly accepted it once we got inside and relaxed a little extra subsidy was warranted given the space and feel. They do give you some nice bar snacks as a part of your service for free for what it’s worth.

My non alcoholic cocktail tasted of nothing and I felt ripped off at the end of it as they charged what they would if it were to have alcohol even though it was not on the menu.

Hidden gem, kind staff, immaculate vibes ! Records on vinyl and delicious food 1000% recommend.

Found this spot while walking back to our hotel. Great jazz music playing from a large system. You can choose the vinyl you want to hear if you ask at the bar. Great scotch select. Beer is good (there’s Guinness) and a small but decent wine select. Not easy to find, but worth the search!

Some one else posted that this was a must. I totally agree. Went on a Sunday (today Oct 1st) and thought it amazing. The vinyl collection alone will blow your mind The turntable and the sound system likewise This is a bar and restaurant not a dance hall

We found this spot by chance, while walking back to our hotel and had definitely a lovely time, sipping a great Yamazaki and couple of Japanese beers while listening to jazz music in a serene, chilled and timeless atmosphere. There is a cover charge of ¥800, which you are informed about right away when seated and it comes with a selection of snacks. Personnel is kind and welcoming and service is attentive and professional. We highly recommend this place!

Incredible place for drinks and jazz. Self-taught Indian food, which we didn’t try but maybe next time! Kindly owners and great atmosphere.

Amazing curry and drinks! The music selection is phenomenal and the bartender is absolutely lovely and very attentive, great service! Finding this place has been the highlight of my trip to Kanazawa, and now I wish I lived in this city. If you're passing by on a trip, do not miss this place!!!

A very cool spot with a clear passion for jazz. We had chicken curry and drinks. The curry was delicious with tender meat and some additional ingredients I've not seen used in other curries in Japan. The majority of the music is played on vinyl with records regularly swapped for other albums lining the walls of the bar. Please note a cover charge may apply at certain times.

Great sound system and selection of jazz vinyls. Really good japanese curry and whiskys as well. Would definitely recommend despite the slight cover charge. I left straight after Phil Woods 'And when you are young' - could not be a better night.

Nice Cocktails and great homemade food (try the curry)! The atmosphere is awesome, sitting at the bar surrounded by locals and listening to the finest jazz selection. Must go

It was a rainy evening and I wanted a nice bar with some music, was recommended Bokunen by a Japanese friend. Came during happy hour although there normally is a cover charge of 600 yen (6 euros). Comfortable and charming would be an understatement. Stereo speakers were of high quality and music choice was great. Amazing appetizers, I had a selection of olives and homemade pickles; both were excellent. Drink choices (especially whiskey) were excellent. Bartender and her husband were very nice and had a few chats. This is a very memorable bar and should not be missed if you're a lover of Jazz and great drinks.

What a find, such a relaxing and chill bar! Staff knows their scotch and whiskey too. It was great to listen to their extensive vinyl collection. We didn't have any of the food but it looked good too. There is a cover charge if you get there after a certain time but it's worth it.
