Dr. Audrey Beam is such a wonderful vet! She is extremely thorough with her exams and always patient with our questions. We never feel rushed during our time with her. She genuinely cares about our pet. Everyone in the office provides excellent service!

I love the docs, techs, and office staff at Academy East. My cats have been patients there for the last 13 years. They treated my three senior cats with great care, and took the time I needed to understand how to deal with insulin injections and subcutaneous fluid injections. They were great when I lost two of my seniors, I appreciate the room they now have with the door directly outside so I didn't have to face everyone after my 21 year-old died there. I now have a 16 yo cat with aging issues, and three one year old litter mates who are destroying my house. Dr. Slaughter was great when my young male decided to assert the authority he thought he had and hissed and spit at her during his physical. And she and the tech were unfazed when all three kittens decided to try to fit behind the refrigerator in the exam room. The front office staff are great about rescheduling my appointments when the cats find out about them and hide, and if they can't answer my questions they find someone that can.

Very kind and professional staff. Dr. Hampton goes above and beyond to check on her patients. Thank you for taking good care of our kitties.

I recently moved to Fuquay and was in need for a vet for my dogs. I came across academy east and I am so happy that I did. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable! Dr. Beam is fantastic and is always trying to help our babies while be conscious of what we are comfortable paying.

They once again brought me to tears because they touched my heart so much. Not only do they send a holiday card every year, but they also sent a heartfelt letter to let us know they got an ornament for their office tree for our over the rainbow bridge dog, Juno. They gave us the ornament so we can celebrate her life too. So thoughtful and beautiful! As long as we are in the area we will always go to Academy East as our animals guardian angels!

Dr. Hampton is the most awesome Vet that I have ever had! She is so knowledgeable in all aspects of kitty health. Her love and compassion for her clients and their human companions shows from the first moment you meet her. My kitties and mommy and daddy absolutely LOVE her!

I've been taking all of my dogs to Academy East for over 20 years. I've never had a bad experience. The doctors, techs, and reception personnel have always been caring, thorough, and thoughtful. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else.

The entire Academy East team is friendly and professional. We had an emergency and were seen quickly to treat our pet.

Just be careful and ask about upcoming vaccinations. I took my pet in for a sick visit and when I arrived home I had an email reminder that I needed to bring him in for vaccinations. Wish they would have combined visits and saved me the office visit charge.

Our fur baby Romi absolutely LOVES Dr Hampton. If it wasn't for Dr H's loving approach & full attention to every possible detail of her illness at the time I don't know if she would still be with us today. Her collaboration with other know professionals outside of her office helped deduce what the root cause of illness was and treatment started immediately. All the people who work here have always been professional and accommodating. I’ve always been able to get appointments that fit my schedule and emergency situations are no exception. Dr Beam is amazing! she took wonderful care of my sweet English bulldog biscuit. She knew exactly what to do and how to treat him and kept me feeling very comfortable the whole time. My Shar Pei has also been seen here! These guys do amazing work!!

Dr. Bray is great. She takes her time and is very gentle with our babies. We have been going to Academy East for over fifteen years now. Everyone at the front desk and all the techs are always compassionate and caring.

I've taken my two Pitbulls to Academy East for the past 4 years and have had nothing but positive experiences. Great staff, and very attentive to my babies. Dr. Erin Slaughter is THE BEST. She treats her patients as her own pets, she is my dogs best friend. Even though we moved out of town we still drive an hour to get there and will continue to do so.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Padfield for years and love, love, love her! Today was a different veterinarian and he was terrific! For over 25 years I have taking my dogs to Academy East, and though I moved to Raleigh, I still bring my dogs back. The cost of teeth cleaning was half what I was being charged at a vet in Raleigh. So overall great service, and the vet bills are high, they are more fair than others I have tried. I highly recommend Academy East veterinary hospital!

I love Academy East Veterinary Hospital! We have been taking our dogs and cats there for years and have always been extremely satisfied with the doctors and the front desk staff. They treat our animals like the family they are, and always listen to my concerns and answer my questions no matter how busy. We are customers for life!

Love Academy East Veterinary Hospital! My dogs actually like going there. I appreciate the follow up calls from Dr Beam to check up on my dog that had been in for treatment. I board my dogs there too and am confident that they will receive the best care at their “sleep away camp” while I’m gone.

We love it here! The front desk staff are always friendly and the vets are extremely thorough. They will also always try to fit you in the same day so your pet gets the care they need. We’ve been to other vets that will say “we are booked until _______” , which is extremely frustrating. That’s the reason we left our last vet. We’ve never had that problem here. Highly recommend!

Out doggie Ellie stayed at your facility for a week from last Monday until Friday. She was there for heart worm treatment. We are so thankful for all the wonderful treatment that our baby got while she was there. We appreciated the calls and updates on her condition. It is comforting to know that we have a facility like yours that is at our disposal when we need it. Thank you to Dr Bray and the staff that took special care of Ellie.

I wish I could give them 10 stars. I cannot express strongly enough how amazing Dr. Beam has been with the care of my pup. She was always thorough with her communication and so responsive by phone while I was out at a specialty referral. I had always had great experiences here for my routine care, but they really showed their true colors in a time of urgent need and proved how great this clinic really is.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Academy East. From the patient, accommodating and caring staff to absolutely top tier veterinarians- I am beyond grateful to have them taking care of my boy Blue. I Was just seen today by Dr. Beam (the best ever) who did the an exceptionally comprehensive exam while explaining everything in detail to me and being so patient and loving with my sick dog. Multiple unexpected things came up during the exam which she so graciously took the time to go over with me and ensured I understood a holistic and comprehensive plan moving forward. No exaggeration, Dr. Beam and Dr. Slaughter saved my dogs life by making a diagnosis that other vets had missed before. I cannot thank them enough! 12/10 highly recommend- would give a million star review if I could!

By far the best Veterinary Hospital around. Staff is always welcoming and do a good job of taking care of all your questions and needs. We have primarily had Dr. Padfield as our vet and the amount of care and concern she shows to our fur babies is amazing. She truly loves what she does and treats every animal like they're her own. I'm constantly amazed at how well this place operates. They are always busy but you never have to wait very long to be seen. Highly recommend!

We were here for our puppy's first vet exam. The staff & the doctor were all very knowledgable and made sure our puppy and we felt comfortable! They made sure his tests and vaccination went smoothly and gave us a lot of tips on puppy nipping, bathing our puppy etc. We're looking forward to making this place his lifelong vet :)

We saw Dr. Rojas for my German Shepherd’s ear infection. He took great care to explain the anatomy of a dog’s ear and was very gentle and patient with my pup (who does not usually like men as much). He was great!

Academy East is hands down the best vet, we've taken our babies too. That's trying multiple vets in 3 different states in the last 10 years. Every staff member we have dealt with just really seems to understand how much our pups mean to us. Everyone has been so caring and compassionate. We especially have enjoyed working with Dr. Bray her professionalism and compassion makes it easy to entrust our babies health to her. Thank you all for being awesome! Very clean and spacious. The staff are ALL very kind, helpful pleasant to speak with. The doctors I dealt with were top notch and very compassionate. I felt very comfortable taking my pet there right from the start. I would like to thank personally April, who I spoke with the first time I made an appointment and Dr. Rojas, who has been treating my pet. I love this vet! I have an australian shepherd and she is such a nervous dog and all of the staff is so good with her! The vet techs are amazing and comfort her at check ups. I have used the groomer there twice now and Ms. Katrina is awesome. She never cuts my dogs hair too short and my dog always looks so good afterwards. The grooming is also very affordable!

I've taken my geriatric cat and my new puppy here and have always had a fantastic experience. They are incredibly thorough but not pushy. I love being able to get my cats prescriptions locally and that they have weekend hours.

I have seen genuine compassion and concern for my sick fur baby. They have made him a priority and got us right back in when testing came back concerning. We took our new puppy in for his first check up and his second round of vaccines. Dr. Slaughter and the tech were great. They took a lot of time examining Jasper and answered all our questions. It was a great experience. All the staff was very helpful and friendly.

Fantastic location with extremely friendly staff. After adopting a pair of kittens over a year ago, this location has been my primary care. The vets that work here are all friendly and generally seem to enjoy what they do. The vet tech I’ve had numerous times is awesome. The front staff handle what seems like a significant workload of scheduling and differing patients with professionalism. Even arriving on the wrong day due to a scheduling issue (my fault), they found a way to get me in and seen.

Been using Academy East for years and my dogs love them. Dr. Beam was essential in figuring out a health issue with one of them and she really went above and beyond during the process. Everyone is super friendly and being able to board with our vets is an extra peace of mind when we go out of town. Highly recommend!

I've been a client for many years with two different dogs. They are great! I just feel like the veterinarians and vet techs really care about my pet! At a recent visit my dog was not thrilled about a blood draw and they were very patient with him.

My puppy was vomiting and Academy East got me in quickly to see Dr Hampton. Everyone was fantastic from the receptionist who asked me several detailed questions about Oakleys condition to the compassionate vet technician who brought me back to Dr Hampton who ran some tests on him and offered me a plan to help Oakley get better. I totally appreciated Dr Hamptons professionalism,wonderful caring personality and quick response to my puppy. I even got a follow up call within 48 hours to check on him.

We love this clinic. The staff love on our boys just like we do. Kisses and everything! They are outstanding. Dr. Slaughter has helped us and our new family members *immensely* in the last year and we won’t go anywhere else!

Dr Ward and staff are wonderful with my babies. I have a senior baby and they are so friendly and sweet to him. My younger baby had to have heartworm treatment and Dr Ward called me every day with updates when she was in the hospital. I trust them with both of my babies.

We have been coming to Academy East Veterinary Hospital for at least 23 years. We started coming here when Dr. Padfield first opened the office. She’s retired now and we truly miss her. She’s an amazing veterinarian. Dr. Slaughter is who we regularly see now and we just love her. She gives us her open and honest opinion which we value greatly. She knows our dogs (present and past) well and takes great care of them. However, we have always had a great experience no matter which veterinarian took care of us. They have been worth every penny we have spent here over the years.
