I made an appointment (a month ahead) for physicals online and went a day prior for blood work only to know my appointment was cancelled. They never called and informed me. And when I called customer service the response was bad. Each location acts like a separate group… why should they call themselves as a group if it is left to the patient to call each location to check for appointments. I asked the front desk who should I talk to file a grievance.. and the response was rude. I’m done with Avance … I have been with them for 4 years but it has gotten worse. I like my PCP but I cannot wait for 3 months for physicals appointment (and my physicals is overdue by 6 months), which is unacceptable.

They did not code as preventative for annual exams as per Insurance. Very frustrating to do back and forth calls and pay bills out my pocket. Update: Called the office as per the below response but they said since the Dr. had already coded, it cannot be changed. How is Lipid/Cholesterol testing does not fall under preventative? I never had to pay for my annual blood work and the office said I must pay this time!

Today 3/21/2024 was my first time in this office. All of the staff (April Jackson, Clara Chiappini Rhonda Williams NP) was outstanding and caring. From the minute I walked into the office until I left they were excellent. Rhonda Williams was very thorough. She took the time to discuss everything that was going on with me. I had blood work done in another office, she took the time and reviewed every single result. You can’t find people like this anywhere. I highly recommend this location and staff to anyone who needs a doctor.

Place was great when I started going over a year ago. Now, they don't answer the phone, are impossible to get a hold of, and booked even for urgent visits. I'm livid. They've canceled my birth control with no warning or explanation. After calling multiple times I was informed that I can't get a refill and now I'm going to be forced to come off a medication I've been on for a decade! Never have I ever had this happen!! Will NOT be going here anymore. What kind of a doctor does that? Ignore the "conserned" reply they posted to me, cause I had just gotten off the phone with them before I posted this review.

I have been a few times and they are all absolutely amazing and professional. My coordinators that I’ve seen Jeremy, Helen, and Antoinette are so sweet and are nice every time which isn’t common most places. The MA Lucia both times I went I felt like she was concerned and was so helpful not like you are another body. My now primary doctor Amanda Steventon, is absolutely amazing and I feel comfortable with her and not judged. I haven’t felt that way about doctors ever, it was refreshing finally able to experience. I would highly recommend.

I was new to the area and needed a new primary care physician. Avance was recommended by a CVS employee. I took a chance - did some research online - and scheduled my first appointment. Everything was seamless. From my initial call to my actual appointment day. This location is new- opened in November. It is meticulous. Every single person I met with that day was professional and kind. They listened to me and answered all of my questions. The Dr. was friendly and down to earth. I’ve had doctors come in and barely say anything. Not here- she was genuinely interested in me and my overall health and well being. I never do reviews- but I had to do this one because I was blown away by the service I received. If you are looking for a new doctor- I highly recommend this one.

Really a professional place. I am excited to know that I will be using this facility for all of my healthcare needs. Jeremy and Antoinette at the front desk were amazing, then Zannetta was my medical assistant, and Kristen Seidel was an awesome PCP.

This was my first visit in search of a new primary care provider. Online portal with forms and instructions were fine. First impression with April and Ashley was great! Had a very open discussion with Debra Guzman, NP about previous primary care provider and their failure to meet my expectations. Also discussed some other health concerns and developed a plan moving forward. I'm hopeful this will be a good fit. So far so good!

I did not have a great experience. Upon arrival, the staff did not seem happy about being at work. The physicians assistant and the physician were Very regimented. They did not go outside of their routine to connect with me as a potential lifelong customer. I literally told both of them that I am looking for a place to call Home in regards to a doctors office.

April and Christina were very helpful. They both made the new patient check in paperwork very easy. Rhonda Williams was very patient and understanding. I highly recommend.

Super Nice Staff with a clean facility. My first interaction was with Helen almost immediately after scheduling a same day appointment online. She was really nice and very helpful. After I arrived at the office for my appointment, I realized that it’s was just a front on the phone, she is nice and helpful in person. The nurses assistant was also helpful and extremely nice. She made sure to go over everything with me. I felt as though Micela was very knowledgeable on her diagnosis of me and took time to understand everything that I had to say and formed her option based on what I said and actually checking me out. This is definitely a 5 star office with 5 star employees that care about the well-being of their patients

I’m not sure what’s going on with Avance care lately. There’s been a lack of communication with patients on the side of scheduling appointments at this location. I’ve tried to schedule an appointment online, but have yet to hear from anyone- it’s been well over a day and some odd. Plus my doctor isn’t found on the website. I’m having asthmatic symptoms related to a prior COVID diagnosis and nobody will answer the phone to schedule an appointment. At this rate I’ll have to go to an urgent care to get evaluated, which will cost me more. Absolutely ridiculous. Not very happy with Avance Care lately. Problem fixed. Issue was on my end where my phone was marking the call as spam- unsure as to why. It blocks spam calls automatically. Helen and Jazmin fixed the issue quickly.

Wonderful first experience! Helen at the front desk was warm and welcoming then Medical Assistant, Nathan was very personable and friendly as well. Dr. Sanchez was thorough and took time with me to carefully diagnose the issues I was having.

Everyone I've come in contact with at this facility is professional, efficient, and friendly. I'm new to the area and just had my first visit here. I was immediately made to feel welcome, and there was not the ridiculously long wait in the waiting room I've experienced that most other Medical providers.

As someone new to the area, I was looking to find a primary care facility that made me feel comfortable, cared for, and listened to; I found all three at Avance Care in Fuquay-Varina. Not only did I get in quickly, but everyone I met (Helen, Leslie, Tabitha, Sonya) was kind, helpful, and attentive to my needs. I never felt rushed. My questions were all answered. I am thrilled to have found such a fantastic place, and I now have the relief that only comes when you know you'll be treated well no matter what brings you to the doctor.

Very welcoming staff on the front desk. Helen Taylor and Ashley East treated me with warmth and respect. The medical assistant, Jessica Martinez-Gonzalez, was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The PA, Kristen Seidel, put me at ease and treated me as though I was her only patient.

What a great facility! Clean, super friendly staff from the front desk to the exam room - everyone was great. They are welcoming, answer all your questions and never make you feel rush. In a world where health care providers are rushing between patients and barely have time to speak with their patients, Avance takes the extra step to provide an amazing experience. Highly recommend this facility for anyone looking for a new provider. All forms are online to complete before you arrive, member portal is user friendly and they are open 7 days a week.

Kristin is amazing!!!! She takes the time to listen to my eldery mom and helps her feel better mentally and physically. Kristin really cares for her patients and their family. Helen is the front desk queen! She is the best and the kindest person. She remembers my mom's name every time. Our family loves this location!

I have gone to many drs and none of them ever listened to me or wanted to help me. When I call or go in Helen at the front is always so nice and helpful. She is very knowledgeable and always gets back to me if need be. Dr. Steventon took the time to listen to me and go through every one of the problems I have been having. She set up diagnostics right away and had referrals set up for me as well. When we got the results of the diagnostic tests, she went over them with me in detail and we made a plan to move forward with my health goals. Wonderful staff and wonderful doctor!

Dr. Steventon is amazing! So kind, caring, and thorough. We took our son to Avance for a well child visit, and as a result we'll be switching our whole family over to this practice - including our newest addition arriving next month. So great to have a doctor who genuinely cares about her patients! Thank you Avance Care!

This office has an amazing staff, very friendly and welcoming. They make you feel it ease and everything goes smoothly. There is attention to detail in the care provided by everyone. I saw Helen Taylor, Chloe Guevara, Stephanie Luna, and Dr. Amanda Steventon today. They were all wonderful!

I had my first visit today as a new patient and everyone I encountered from the front desk to meeting my nurse and doctor treated me extremely nice. Being someone with PTSD/anxiety this made my visit much easier than normal. I am used to going to Veteran Affairs doctors, and for the first time in ages I felt like I was actually heard today. I would recommend Avance Care to everyone, especially fellow veterans.

I recently went to Avance Care since I needed a primary care doctor and was having some skin issues. The building is new, clean, and a convenient location. I had the pleasure of interacting with Helen Taylor, Zannetta Flythe, and Dr. Amanda Steventon they all were very welcoming, professional, understanding, and made me feel right at home. Dr. Amanda broke down everything during my visit so it was easy to understand which was also nice. I will definitely be going back and without a doubt feel like I am in good hands!

Jeremy and Helen both patient coordinators were so sweet and helpful. Ms. Zannetta the medical assistant was a joy to meet, she was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. Our provider Ms.Seidel made sure my questions were answered as it was for a wellness check up for my infant. Very glad to have made them our primary care physician. Everyone was courteous and made us feel we were well cared for!

I was looking to establish care at a practice that was closer to me and I am THRILLED to say the least. Brand new location with a beautiful office building. From the moment I checked in, I felt comfortable and welcomed. I dealt with Helen at the front desk, she is incredible, and very caring; not just there for a paycheck, it seems she loves people! Medical Assistant, Lucia, took me back, and was beyond amazing. She was very detailed in preparing me for meeting the NP and she very much knew what she was doing. My NP was Micaela, and I am beyond thrilled with her expertise and helping with my physical, and her recommendations to great health. THANK YOU! Highly recommend this location to establish care for yourself!

All my interactions here have been excellent. Friendly front desk staff, kind nurses, caring physician, clean facility. I felt listened to and was given the time I needed during each appointment. I’ve been to other Avance Care branches and this one is by far the best, in my experience.

This office is awesome! I had my first appointment that was seamless from start to finish. Scheduling was easy and the reception staff was very responsive. I saw Kristen Seidel who was amazing. She listened to my concerns and was very understanding. She ordered labs that came back very fast and sent me a message with the results. I am so glad I have chosen this office for my care.

My experience with the front staff and nurses was wonderful! So I couldn’t give one star. BUT my experience with my actual PCP and the lab was a mess. In March, we found that my platelets looked low in my bloodwork. I went back for follow up labs in June. The results came back inconclusive. I got a call from the doctor saying everything looked good, but when I asked about why there weren’t any results for my platelets, then I was told to come back in and redo the labs since my blood had clotted. I looked up why blood clots in a lab sample and all the results said that it’s an error on the lab’s part and not indicative of a health issue. I went back in to redo the lab since mistakes happen, but got the same inconclusive results again and another follow up call that my results all looked good—even though the platelets we were testing for had no results. I was told to come back in again for more bloodwork and at that point basically said no thanks. A couple weeks later, I got a message from my PCP (Debra Guzman) stating that the results could be inconclusive because there may be an issue with my blood. Again, maybe I’m wrong, but everything I was seeing said that clotting in blood sample is due to errors in the lab. And if her concern was that I may have something wrong in my blood, why tell me both times that all my results looked good? I don’t know. What a mess and still no answers. Time to find a new doctor..

Kristen Seidel is so smart and a terrific provider. She has a professional approach to her work while demonstrating an ability to articulate her thoughts well and listen to her patients. She always has time for me and my questions and helps me to learn about what I have going on so I understand what I need to do to make it better. Staff and assistants are ALWAYS friendly and totally rad.

They charged my doughtier in 1 visit $465 (after insurance $357) If the self pay charged less than insured person (What can we call that policy?)
