18 dishes and they were all excellent. My wife and I had the 8 course menu. It was served in 8 servings where 7 servings had two alternatives. We were recommended to order different alternatives for every serving, turning our 8 course menu to 15 (albeit smaller) courses. In addition to this, we got 3 appetizers to start with making the total number of dishes served a whopping 18. We also ordered the non alcoholic drink package which was very good. No sparkly water and off-the-shelf apple juice in sight. Instead, we got served home made juices and teas, well paired with each dish. MUCH recommended! The best thing on the menu was the moose tartare. My least favorite dish was the leeks terrine. I'm simply not a truffles fan.

Fantastic dining experience , lovely seating arrangements and ambience . The service is on point with attention to details. It’s pricey but that’s what you pay for premium. My only feedback is to switch the music to something that goes along with this kind of vibe. It felt like an early 00s night club in there l.

What a wonderful experience! We were very excited to try out this restaurant and the 5 course menu after reading the list of choices. And we were not disappointed! In addition, the service was warm and personal without feeling intrusive. We can't decide on which course was the ultimate, maybe the chanterelle dish, or the octopus. No, maybe the quale. Too hard to judge, we need to go back for another try! 😄

Great atmosphere in this restaurant. Friendly service. The food is very nice, not Michelin-ready yet but they are definitely heading in the good direction. Combination of food & wine is very well thought through. A place to come back to.

We had a very unique experince there. The dishes' taste and design were outstanding and the restaurant itself is cozy with a good vibe. On the other side, there were very long description of the food's ingredients before each course that seemed awkward. The price is significantly higher compared to what you get from several tiny dishes. Moreover, one thing that I found surprisingly odd, was the small choice of selection. For each course, we had to select from approximately three dishes and most of the ingredients there were common in other courses as well.

One of the most fascinating dining experiences I've ever had in my life. My husband and I got the 5 course menu. I have no words to describe the flavors I tasted. Each bite is a unique sensation. Furthermore, the staff team is amazing. All them very friendly and so attentive. My favorite ones: Lamb Tartare and Pan Fried Grouse.

Seldom you are visiting and experiencing a restaurant where just everything fits perfectly. Forget the stars and forget restaurant ranking lists. Carbon is simply the best restaurant in Gothenburg, if not the best restaurant in Sweden. Dishes are innovative, creative and perfectly prepared. Staff are, without exception, very attentive, knowledgeable and making you immediately at ease. Carbon is my favourite restaurant in Gothenburg. The food is magical. Service is fantastic. We will certainly go again. I recommend the Hamachi. My god it was good.

Amazing experience with a few cool surprises thrown in like a cucumber sorbet with sechuan flowers as an unannounced starter. Every dish was excellent and the staff was clearly passionate about what they were doing. Really nice that they also have a nonalcoholic drink menu planned with the dishes as an alternative. Or a hybrid for when you don't feel like you can manage an alcoholic drink to every dish.

My fiancé and I had the most awesome evening here. It was absolutely brilliant! The food was stunning, the service fantastic and the atmosphere perfect. I highly recommend going here not even to celebrate as we did, but just for the amazing food and the friendly staff! 5 of 5 stars! Will come again!

We came to Carbon on our last night of our mini break in June (just before midsummers), and it did not disappoint! The food was outstanding, the team were very knowledgeable and friendly and accommodating for every request we had. We will specifically come back to Gothenburg just to return to Carbon!

This is definitely amongst the very top of restaurants in Gothenburg! Choose between 3 or 5 servings, where you get to choose from three different dishes each serving. Two of the dishes, the beef tartar and the lamb saddle, made me speechless. I'll leave it at that. Just go here. Now.

Thank you to everyone for this very memorable experience. The staff is amazingly friendly and it is clear the cooks are passionate. Upon arriving we asked the waiter to create a menu for us as we did not want to choose ourselves. It was recommended that we get separate options so we could share plates and try most of what was on the offer, unusual, but in the end definitely worth it! All of the dishes tasted great! A few so good (ESCABECHE) I was reluctant to share with my companion. However I did wish a bolder/more memorable experience with the red meats, be it through presentation or more "exotically tasting" features. We had the hybrid wine and non-alcoholic experience; the non-alcoholic drinks are a home made, unique and wonderfully tasteful. I don't know much about wines, but think the ones we got fit well with their dishes, I was particularly impressed by the desert companions. The only thing I would wish for on a return visits is not be seated beside the kitchen/bar, due to the amount of traffic. It was also right beside the entrance. I prefer a dining experience with less distractions. We got to go into the kitchen to thank everyone for our experience. In total I payed 3800 SEK for 2 people (5 course menu, hybrid drinks and aperitif).

Amazing food and a wonderful experience. We were very impressed with everything from the presentation to the tastes of the dishes. Very well paired wines to all the courses and extra credit to how well they paired non-alcholic drinks to all the courses as well. Lovely staff, environment and music! Definitely coming back.

Tasty food prepared with care and respect for the produce. Perfectly composed non-alcoholic drinks menu that both lifted the flavours in the food and stood on its own two feet. Pleasant pace in the serving that allowed you time to digest one course without having to wait too long for the next.

Thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. The food was excellent. The non-alcoholic drink pairing made sense in context with each dish, and it was great to hear the thinking behind how the menu was constructed. Most of all, we enjoyed the vibe. The interior feels upscale but comfortable, the music is cool, and the staff are as warm and personable as they are attentive and professional.

Delicious food! I thoroughly enjoyed the beef tenderloin tonight. You walk in and the interior is really nice (I love velvet!) and you get this wonderful service that makes all the difference. Relaxed and friendly which reminded me of Irish and Australian pubs. Some 'nicer' restaurants can get a bit stiff or too 'fancy' with the service and vibe in my opinion, carbon was a fresh breeze of something different! Many thanks, we'll be back!
